Change the O2 image that shows on boot?

Hey there,
Just wondering... is it possible to change this image? ie the one that says 'O2' with the bubbles when your Exec loads after a reset.
I have a 640x480 PNG image which I'd like to use.

4winmobile say there updating so just wait a few hours.
If my memory serves me correctly, its an MS-DOS exe file that'll place the image you want into a file then you upload it via activesync.
I've done it myself and it works, it stays on even if you upgrade your rom.

HUGE thanks! Worked perfectly I've attached the file I've changed it to incase anyone wants it... it's very pretty lol. I got it from another forum (not my own work!!) and could be an offical Windows Mobile screen?

i have tried this process and have failed miserably

YES, create a PNG image with 640X480 dimensions and name it "welcomehead.192". Now copy and paste "welcomehead.192" PNG image to the "Windows" folder using Total Commander and perform a soft reset.

Not 640x480, but 640x640! Otherwise you will have cutted splash in portrait mode.

Yes that is true, but it is hard to find a good picture that would fit very nicely in the center of both landscape and portrait mode during soft reset. Since majority of the time, most people soft reset on landscape, it looks better to center the picture on one than both.

I have tried but didnt had ne luck as it has replaced my file can i get an imate image of the same dimension?

how about on a Wizard?
Anyone get this to work on a Wizard G3?

Hleeo, anyone please kindly upload the original splash image form O2 EXEC, i'll change the splash screen, but i prefer to make bakcup before. (Who know I'll miss that screen sometime)

Same problem for me - I cant open the zip as Winzip says it "cannot open the file, it does not appear to be a valid archive"
I am keen to change my boot screen because I want to try something I read in another forum. The idea is to add your contact details at that point.
It will be more difficult for a theif to change than the "display identification information when device is turned on" option and a hard reset shouldn't remove it!!
I hope someone finds a way soon.

I used WinRAR to unzip it and that works fine.

just change the .zip in .rar, it will work.

im try this utility with 2 example images and no result, my boot screen dont change
htc p3300, unlocked, 2 files copyed to windows folder, cab file installed, soft reset... no result, what can i do?

Nothing changed ... Anyone get this "thing" to work?

Align screen every boot

Hi,
I've done an upgrade to WM6 and everything is working normally.
The only thing is that í have to align every time a reboot or boot the wizard.
Does someone of you have an idea what this could be and how i can fix this?

Check if you have a shortcut to the alignment executable in Startup folder

My diamond is dead ???? :(

If i turn on my diamond appear "touch diamond" but after the diamond turn off and turn on again so turn off and turn on what i can dooo ??????

Do you mean the message "Starting TF3D, Tap the display...bla bla"? If so, just hard reset or copy in your backup of manila files.
You can still tap "Start" and then "Settings" and then "Home" and then uncheck TF3D? Then use some file manager to copy original Manila files in the Windows directory.

It' depend's .. u say u can start, but it stops just before entering WM?
try the buttons while starting... (I guess u have to be pretty fast )

[Q] can't install android on hd2

hi,
Could someone help me because i want to install android on my hd2 but i do know how it works but if i want to get into the red-green-blue-white screen, i will see the colours but it almost goes direct to another white screen with loading... on it. So i can't do my first step for HSPL4.

Could you please show us that "other screen"? or at least could you tell us what that other screen shows ?

it shows an total white screen, and in blue letters(like hard reset) loading...
nothing else. sorry cant post any pics.

check if there's no file in ur sd card named LEOIMG or any file .nbh because if u put like that files in sd card the bootloader will load them ...and even of u get that msg just press vol down to go back to the colors screen
