If I put an SD-Card into my XDA-NEo it's recognized normaly but if try to run an application placed on the storage Card oder save anything to it the XDA stops responding and doesn't come back to live without an reset.
After the reset there's a popup message that the Sd is not formated, but it definately is and the filestructure is also ok...
tried several SD-Card's but nothing worked...any advice?
I'm running a WM 6.1 Rom but also changing to anonther 6.1 didn't changed anything...
Hope you can help me...if not i need to hope for santa to bring me a new HTC Toy

i'm facing trouble with the way the SDcard works on my Qtek2020: I can install all programs i want on the card and everything works flawlessly until i withdraw the card from the device for any reason, no programs launched at the time of the withdrawal; When i put the card back in the device, the SDCARD seems to be empty for the device and despite that i can see that the contents is still present and displayed under fileexplorer, all shortcuts to the on the storagecard stored programs have vanished, and are not restored even after few minutes wait or a softreset.
Is this a known limitation of the device? Is there a way to refresh these shortcuts (without having to copy new ones by hand)? Is this a known limitation of either Windowsmobile2033 Phoneedition or WindowsMobile2003? I add that this doesn't happen on my E200 Smartphone(Qtek8080) with the same cards. When i put the card back all shortcuts that were still available but grayed out after having removed the card are displayed and working? I hope this helps!!

how about Qtek soft reset ...
with SD card inside - have you tried this ?? it might help ... at least it helped me twice on similar occassion

maybe you might consider using some SD media verification tool or even formatting for good orders's sake ...
but soft reset hopefully is to solve your problem

I cannot delete files! The explorer hangs. This never happend before! Please help
I have the same problem, just started happening - have my XDA II for a day - very annoying. The whole system doesn't hang just file explorer. I find if I do a soft reset the file is usally deleted - not sure if it's done properly though.

Try this
Remove the SD card
Perform a soft reset
Reinsert the sd card when the soft reset has completed
Then try to delete / move a file

Thanks a million - it worked I was preparing myself for a hard-reset and reinstallation of all my programs.
I did a hardreset and it didn't help. I was about to call orange when someone on this forum told me what to do. Glad it worked

I wonder does this problem occur on most XDA IIs or maybe just Orange's version of the ROM. Having to take out the SD card everytime you do a reset seems a bit awkward. Since I just got my XDA I'm not sure if it's to do with something I installed or just the fact I've started using a SD card. There was a similar problem with XDA I - the SD card stopped SPB's fullscreen keyboard from working properly.
Ive upgraded to the latest Orange rom, available on the orange web site, and I posted it on this forum somewhere, and the SD Card problem has gone away (For now).

What version did you upgrade to? I have 3.66.1.200 and I can't find a more recent ROM version on the orange site

Hi , i just got a new sandisk 4gb microsd. The card works fine except when i softreset, it wont go to the homescreen, it will keep rebooting without an end!
Ive been reading on the internet and for some people the solution was to renaming the file omap850_sdhc.dll to omap850_sdhc.dll.old in the windows folder.
But on my htc p4350 with the official vodafone wm6 , that file seems to be part of the rom and cant be edited ! Ive tried totalcommander, resco explorer.
Does anyone have a solution for this or is familiar with this problem??

I have the same problem. Have you found a solution yet?
the windows sdhc card driver probably messed up...that or you installed something on the card that should've been installed on the phone..and now your windows is confused...hehe
there are several solutions... i don't know any that work on all devices
it's been discussed many times... try searching for boot-loop or stuck at splash screen... something along those lines.
the easiest solution is to hard reset...
if you're card is clean that's even better cuz then you can organize it very nice and neat..
Doing a hard reset is not an option for me.
Several other threads have discussed the option of deleting/renaming the omap650sdhc.dll followed by a soft-reset. But this dll is in rom and cannot be deleted. Tried Total Commander and Resco Explorer, but no chance.
Guess I will wait until I'm fed up enough to do a hard-reset.
i had that same problem with my new MicroSD 4GB card.
All i did was:
Turn the phone off and take battery + SIM out.
Turn in your MicroSD card and start it up.
When it's fully booted take the battery out without turning the phone off and put the sim back in.
Then turn it back on and hope for the best.
It worked for me.

I installed it on a clean 8 Gb SD card and ran harriet once. After att bootup sequence the phone went black so i did a soft reset and pulled the SD card.
Since then whenever i am in normal Windows Mobile i can't run most of my installed programs.
And i cannot uninstall or reinstall new or old programs. When i try to install a program it goes so far as to accept the certificate for the program but stopps directly after that with an error message that says the program did not install.
Any ideas on what the problem is. I would like to avoid a hard reset. I did a backup of most of the stuff on the phones internal memory but not all of it.

put only android on sd (not in a folder)
complete startup settings (wm)
run android
select blackstone
install to sd
wait for android to boot
it takes about 15-20mins (blackstone)
then screen goes black
wait for a vibration
it will boot android to a lock screen
wait for everything to boot up.. (operator etc)
unlock..
Well that's just the problem i cannot backup my files because i cannot install any programs like SPB Backup to do a backup. I can manually via ActiveSync copy files but then i won't get everything like i would with a backup program.

Nobody got any ideas on how i can solve the problem so i can install or run programs on my Blackstone?
I tried to start programs that doesn't need to be installed but i get the same error message that the "program cannot be opened or.....".

just back up what you can via active sync..
you WILL need to hard reset or reflash..
or
try uninstall everything if you can??
i use to have android working fine for me then i dont now exactly what happend
when i run haert my device freez in 3 secound and some wite line appeer on the screen maybe cuz i change the rom but i tried lots of deffrent rom same problem any one can give me advice ?

Don't do a quick format. If you're using Windows untick the "Quick Format" option. If that doesn't do the trick, try downloading a different Android ROM. If that doesn't work either then I think you're looking a new sd card.
i did slow format nothin chang today will try 2 change the sd card
