mytouch 3G at walmart $410, no contract

So, I can't find any information on this on the internets, but evidently the mytouch 3G is at Walmart for $199 with 2 year service agreement with T-Mobile and $410 with no service agreement. I spotted it at two different stores.
Forgive me, but doesn't this mean I could get a HTC Sapphire/Magic for $410 plus unlocking fees? Compared to the typical $599 price?
Am I missing something?
Thanks
PS - Anyone know a free way to unlock the mytouch 3G? I'm on AT&T
HTC MyTouch
Hey man, I am trying to get one myself. If you have ebay, I have found plenty of brand new already unlocked ones. Here's one I'm biding on, currently the highest bidder. Give it a shot, I don't mind trying to get one cheap a while longer.

Purchase HTC HD2

Calling around to purchase a new HTC HD2 from T-Mobile and they are saying that they do not have any in stock. I live in MI. Checked the Internet to find any deals and cannot see any unless you are open to a new plan. I have a family plan now and just want to get 1 HD2 to replace one of my other phones. Has anyone found any special deals? Thanks in advance.
HD2 Purchase
Go to Craiglist in your area...they will be there for $400

Does replacement need receipt? or only phone

Does replacement need receipt? or only phone?
My phone is bought from ebay. was brand new when I bought.
they never asked me for receipt
When I got mine replaced less than a week after I bought it, I not only needed the reciept, but the sales clerk at the T-Mobile store wanted all of the contract paperwork I signed too.
I don't think they like me there.
how about someone else?
recently my nexus was robbed from me after a wild night in vegas
i believe i just faxed asurion a copy of the upc from the box. then they tried to send me a mytouch 3g. i wasnt having any of that...ended up getting a vibrant.
I bought mine online from the tmobile site. When I called for a replacement, they only asked for the imei number and sent one out.
Sent from my Vibrant using the xda-app.
If you bought it from ebay, I don't thing tmobile will replace it, right?

Buying Off EBay ESN check

I just won a bid on an used phone at sprint. The seller says it has a clean ESN in the information but after I won. I message him and asked for the ESN number so I can
contact Sprint to double check. He sent me a message back saying once I pay through paypal he will provide the ESN number
because it is a security concern to do it before and once I pay I will be covered by paypal and eBay. This doesn't makes sense
to me. Is providing an ESN a security
concern. Any thoughts will help.
