Calling around to purchase a new HTC HD2 from T-Mobile and they are saying that they do not have any in stock. I live in MI. Checked the Internet to find any deals and cannot see any unless you are open to a new plan. I have a family plan now and just want to get 1 HD2 to replace one of my other phones. Has anyone found any special deals? Thanks in advance.

So, I can't find any information on this on the internets, but evidently the mytouch 3G is at Walmart for $199 with 2 year service agreement with T-Mobile and $410 with no service agreement. I spotted it at two different stores.
Forgive me, but doesn't this mean I could get a HTC Sapphire/Magic for $410 plus unlocking fees? Compared to the typical $599 price?
Am I missing something?
Thanks
PS - Anyone know a free way to unlock the mytouch 3G? I'm on AT&T

Hey man, I am trying to get one myself. If you have ebay, I have found plenty of brand new already unlocked ones. Here's one I'm biding on, currently the highest bidder. Give it a shot, I don't mind trying to get one cheap a while longer.

You can go on their payment plan, its like $22 a month or something. I would get it Its a nice device.
Woth it if you don't want 2 year contract. Otherwise it's $199 w/contract!
Moved to HD2 General forum.
Okay,
So, I went down to T-Mobile store here in NYC. They told me I have to buy the phone with some kind of service even if I am buying it for full price. What do I tell them to buy just the phone?
I want to use it over At&t. I read that other people bought it from the store. Did anyone had to sign up for a new service?
I would appreciate any help
Thank you.
I just walked in to buy it. I ended up talking myself into getting a Flex Plan since I didnt wanna use it on Edge...
You can always just buy it and get a Flex Plan for a month and when its up, dont renew. Phone is yours, no contract..
i have a brand new tmobile htc hd2 that has never been used..if your interested let me know

they lied to you.. stock is still short so they want most of them for extending contracts or opening new ones because they get more money... just try a different store or go in and try again.
i have a 3 day old HTC HD2 for sale for $400
data plan
I paid cash for mine. The sales guy asked which line I was using it on and I refused to say. He hated that.
They lied to you. They can sell the phone without a plan. They are just upset cause they're loosing revenue without a plan..
Shame on you T-Mobile
fhaines
Buy the phone with a no-contract "EVEN MORE PLUS PLAN" @$449.99
Then call them up and say you don't like their service and you would like to cancel the plan, you should get a prorated charge of a few dollars for a day. That should be it. they cant ask for the phone back, since u paid full retail price for it. you have to get it unlocked from online though.
They're trying to keep their stock for people who are going to start a new contract.
I've heard outright lies such as the HD2 being 'about $700' without a contract. This was over the phone when I was calling around and checking the stock on the first day.
Anyone know where to buy in Canada?

I can ship to Canana! $580, or my shop in Markam.Ontario
They tried the same thing with me, even though its off contract they are trying to still push plans and activation on it, even online, no way to buy it for $440 directly from the website,
i got it through a friend with a tmobile acc
I have an unlocked T-Mobile HTC HD2 for sale... I'm looking for around $525, which is what I paid + shipping of your choice. (I paid $29.99 to unlock it.) I'm tried using it on AT&T and can't stand EDGE. I never even tried a call on it. My AT&T Pure will have to hold me over until I can get a Telstra HTC HD2. I have all original accessories, documentation and box to go with it. PM me if you're interested. Oh yeah, I've flashed it with the latest Energy Rom, but I can downgrade it to stock rom if you like.
Hi guys,
I’m new here and I’m about to buy the HTC HD2 from RadioShack (at my local T-Mobile is sold out) but I have some questions that just came up to me while watching some videos. Here there are…
What exactly are the ROMs? Updates?
Can the custom themes or tweaks (I think) cause any problem to your phone?
Does Windows Messenger runs on HTC Sense or WinMo 6.5?
Does anyone know where I can try this phone? I mean, at T-Mobile (and RadioShack) all they have is the phone with no battery and a huge sticker on it, so I don’t think they let you try it.
Thanks.
ROM is a file that installs everything on your phone. It's like a Windows 7 disk.
Yes, tweaks can cause problems.
Yes, messenger runs on Windows Mobile 6.5. HTC Sense is not an OS, it's just an interface.
To try the phone, go to a t-mobile store. All the t-mobile stores I've been to here in Seattle, WA had HD2s that you could try out.
Also,
Don't get it from "The Shack", here in Chicago, it costs $250 with an extension as compared to $200 from T-Mobile. Most of the T-Mobile stores here in Chicago didn't have the HD2 in stock, so I went to the only Best Buy that sells T-Mobile phones and got it for $200. I was even able to use my reward zone card.

Same here. I got it from TMO, which will give you a nice 45 day return policy if you are a Platinum Rewards Member. They usually don't have working displays though. You can also try Walmart.com since they can get it to you for $99 tax free, and free shipping and activation (if I am not mistaken).
Then, you can follow my little guide on how to get out of the contract and pay a lot less per month
I disagree, the RadioShack in my area carried the HD2 for $149 with upgrade, which is far better than $199 that T-Mobile is charging.
Hello,
I spent the past year and a bit in the HTC ONE X forum, I just pre-ordered my HTC ONE from the EE store in Fareham. I'm wondering if anyone has got their HTC One this way as you don't get penalised for the remaining contract and all you pay for to switch from T-mobile or Orange to EE (4G) is the cost of the handset on the plan you choose. I'm hoping I get the phone this week, can't wait to get it.

Welcome,
I have been waiting for my phone from T-Mobile for more than a week and no luck. It is stil out of stock
I didn't go for 4G as they were asking for £6/month extra on my contract.
The contract i'm after is the £41 per month which means the phone will cost me £29, i've paid a £20 deposit for the phone, but forgot to ask if all I need to pay when I collect it is £9. I think it should be as you usually get the deposit back. Can't wait to get it, he said it should arrive this week, fingers crossed.
Well its been a week since I pre ordered my HTC One from the T-Mobile store and its still not arrived in there shop!!!!
Getting impatient now as i'd like it before I go to London this Friday.
Wonder what the delay is!
