Please help me....i have bought the mobile 3 days ago with sim unlock,
Please help me
Uninstall everything you can, if it doesn't help, do a hard reset. After installing each CAB, try to use WiFi.
Hi i have the same Problem.
I instlled diverent Rom. Always the same. I cannot activate the Wifi.
What else can i do? Would another Radio Rom help?
I have done many times hard reset but nothing.
archonw? You have install different ROM and still cannot activate WiFi? Have yοu try original ROM?
I THINK I FOUND THE SOLUTION. In folder My Device -->Windows there are some files
There is a file Wrlsmgr. When i open this file then i see something like the Comm Manager. In this programm there is bluetooth and phone button. When i press the button i can activate or deactivate the phone or the bluetooth. I see then that there is no button for WLAN. I go to the files about bluetooth and phone and i see the followings files.
BluethSetting.htm
Bluetooth Explorer
BluetoothSetting.dll
phone.dll
phone.dot
phone.pwi
PhoneSetting.dll
Then I go to the files about wireless and i see the following files.
Wireless LAN
wireless.bmp
WirelessLAN.htm
WirelessService.dll
WLANSettings.exe
WLANSettings.exe.0409.mui
Do you see something strange? I see 2 thing. There is no a file WLANSettings.dll like bluetooth and phone and what is this WLANSettings.exe.0409.mui strange file?
If some want help me please i would like to see if my files is the same as the files in his phone.
Thank you very much

Hi,
I've got an Orange M500, upgraded with the Imate ROM 1.12.00WWE - ever since I upgraded the ROM, I can connect to my Orange GPRS service fine, however, if I disconnect then try to reconnect again, the connection fails. I have to turn on flight mode, then turn on the radio again in order to get GPRS access.
I've tried upgrading to Radio 1.13.00, but still no joy.
Any ideas?
Mine does that and I have the original ROM. A bit of a pain isn't it.
Here's the fix
This was originally posted by Peter for the imate JAM.
I just installed it and it's working like a charm.
1. Download the older version of caller-id from:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/CAB_Files/Caller ID/IA_CallerID_1.20_WWE.CAB
and transfer it over to your device. Any directory is Ok. I used ActiveSync to put it into the My Documents folder.
2. Remove the file IA_CD-Startup.exe from \Windows\Startup on your device.
3. Rename iacontacts.dll to something else (e.g. old-iacontacts.dll). This file is in the \Windows directory of your device but is hidden. However you can rename it using your PC. Open Windows explorer, and navigate to Mobile Device>My PocketPC>Windows.
4. Rename displayCID.dll to something else (e.g. old-displayCID.dll). Access it via your PC the same as for the previous step.
5. Soft reset
6. Run the CAB file on the device - just tap on it.
7. Soft reset.
That should do it.
I have the same GPRS problem too. However, the link you provided just asked for the password to access that ftp. Hey, acs540, do you know the password or do you have that CAB file? Thanks in advance.
usernameassword is xda:xda
The fix in this post seems to refer to caller id!?! I too get the gprs connection problem and have made it better with different roms but not found a sure-fire fix.
If anyone has a patch that fixes this, please post it!
GPRS now working
Hi,
Finally I tried, or at least halfway, After I removed the CallerID everyone is talking about my Qtek9090 now works flawless regarding GPRS.
This is very interesting that Caller ID software makes GPRS not working
Anyway, now I can start and stop GPRS several times, I have now toggled it 10 times without any problem.
Before I had to reset/toggle radio to make it reconnect after a disconnect.
Thank you all that has investigated this problem!
One last thing, Do you really need CallerID?

Lars
I don't use Caller_ID, but Photo Contacts Pro.
Did you also try to change GPRS slot (Class 8 or Class 10) in GPRS settings?

Hi @all,
I just upgraded to WM6. Now I have 2 Problems:
1. I can't connet to WIFI Hotspot
2. After Softreset and entering the PIN it says "No service" (but not all the time)
3. I am using Voice Command 1.6 but I dont hear the announcements through my Headset
Can anyone help?
Greetings
Peter
1. Depends on hotspot encryption (you can do this trick: turn on wifi trough wlan manager start-settings-connections-wireless lan, it will turn on and turn off by itself, then turn on wireless trough comm manager, it will start but it will not connect to any network, so turn it off from comm manager and turn it on again and if the encryption is supported it will connect)
2. This never happened to me, try to clean your sim card contacts
3. I had this problem with WM5 also but i not remember the solution, try to search the forums for one
Hi xplode,
1. Solved. At home it works, but at work not. I'll try to find out the problem
2. It's only after a sofreset. When I go from the phone-application into Menu-Options-Network and klick the button "Find Network" then it finds my GSM-Network and everything is Ok
3. Problem not yet solved. Can't find any usable threads.
By the way. It doesn't show at the top of the screen that my headset is connected. I only see it in the phone-application. Any solution for this?
Thanks
Peter

Qtek 9090 (blue angel) - WM6 R0 - radio rom 1.06
MS Activesync 4.5
Brazil.
for wifi issues try using this
Did you test it?
When i first saw this post i didn't bother to reply but seriously now?
a storage cab file fixes a wifi driver?
And another annoying thing about the post is the lack explanation.
whats this for????
Answer
This is simple Wlan Manager
I packed it to a cab for all of you to test
works ok!
Great xplode! Thanks, I have installed your cab file and my WiFi issues have gone!!
I run Helmi's WM6 rom with xplode's HTC_CommManager from his HTC Cabs_Xplode31.10.2007 series.
Without xplode's WLAN Manager cab file from this thread I had the WIFi issues as also posted by other members:
1- After a soft reset WIFi would not connect (workaround was to start the WLAN Manager, turn on WLAN Manager [WiFi would still not start], go to the HTC CommManager and start WiFi from there) - now WiFi starts and connects directly from HTC Comm Manager!
2- After switching off the device, WiFi would not reconnect automatically when switching back on (workaround was to switch WiFi off and on in HTC Comm Manager) - now WiFi reconnects automatically when switching on the device again.
Great work there, thanks again!
Weird... It won't install on my QTEK 9090, Xplode's rom...
Oh well, clicking twice never killed a man ;-)
i also have same problem... it says that instalation was unsuccessfull
I have many softs instaled... could one be causing the issue?
ok then download the first zip then copy the extracted exe to windows forlder, and thats it
WiFi Cab
Hi - I replaced the WLanMgr.exe file (had to switch on Flight Mode before it would allow me to do this) but it did not fix my WiFi issues.
It did however give me the version of Wireless Manager I had when I was running WM2003 - which I preferred anyway......
Using Helmi's Rom and Xplode's HTC Comm Manager - 6 buttons.

Me neither...
Even with the .exe I can't Wi-Fi on WPA-PSK working properly...
well even without this fix i am working every day with wifi wpa-psk tkip without any issues, so i dont know what is the problem in your devices
the only issue i have is for turning on wifi (the good old driver bug since earlyer wm5)
Oh well but wifi works perfect for me also, every day on WPA2-PSK but it's as you say XPlode, just the enabling that takes 2 steps... besides that, everything very fast...
RE: Install unsuccessful
I manage to extract the file to \windows, but it says that HTC WLAN install was unsucessful.
Any hope?
Any hope for WPA2?

I had the same result with my SX66 and no one seems to know what causes this cab file to report unsuccessful on install. Especially Xplode who is usually so knowledgeable on these matters!
But now that I have started enabling WiFi in system-connections-turn on WLAN (as opposed to connection manager), it SEEMS to be working fine without the cab file???
Hi guys,
Just connected the HD to a new Columbus radio system using rSAP.
First of all, I am not the one who made the .cab file needed, I simply followed the instructions on this site, and fiddled around a bit:
http://briskoda.net/superb-ii/howto...us-rns510-using-non-compatible-mobile/131709/
Here's what I did to get it working:
1) Download the .cab files from the above mentioned thread
2) Install .net compact framework 3.5
3) Install the BT_sap.cab file, it will say installation failed, but just ignore that..
4) Using file explorer, find "SAP settings" in the windows folder and click it.
5) Go to start => settings => connections => bluetooth and turn on bluetooth and make your device visible.
6) Uncheck the authentication or password box, then check the box that says "remote sim acces"
7) Connect to the radio.
That's all folks
Hope it works for you, please write your findings here.

Question :
What happens to your phone after you leave your car ?
With my diamond, the phone does not login to any network after SAP disconnects , I have to reset the device or turn off/on the phone from the communication manager :-(
Otherwise , it's working fine though

I've got the same problem. It went away for a while and my phone reconnected normally. But recently I had to soft reset my phone and the trouble has started all over again.
Has anyone resolved this issue? I did manage to get it working earlier (but I don't know how), so there must be a resolution to it.

Same here.I installed an Energy rom and connected the phone to car, after i leave the car, the phone doesnt turns on, just need to soft reset it.
On my Touch Dual, i had installed a BT_SAP.cab file, and worked perfectly, everytime i left the car, the phone turned the network on.
Still no solution to Blackstone ?
regards
I've been crawling through the internet for 2 days now, still found no solution. (even used the search-form of course).
My HTC Wizard does not connect to WLAN.
it is a MDA Vario - AKU3-Rom (official from T-Mobile), IPL + SPL 3.08, no-CID, no-SIMLOCK...
Description:
When i open the comm manager, it shows the icon for not-connected wlan. when i click it, there is the "windows is running"-animation, but nothing happens.
The same with 3rd party devices (like Homescreen++, WIFIFOFUM). I dunno what to do... PLEASE HELP!
Start->Settings->Connections->WLAN contains only grayed textfields (SSID, Modus, BSSID, Tx-Rate, Channel, Signal quality) and there is no MAC- or IP-address specified...
Start->Settings->Connections->Network Cards does not show any networks, but a variety of drivers (i think) like: NE2000-compatible Networkdriver, SDIO WLAN Wireless Adapter. Upon opening them and selecting the automatic ip-gain the IP-Field says "no connection" instead of an IP-address...
(Pictures are from Bottoms-ROM, nothing has changed however i tried different ROMS...).

I have the same problem. Please someone help!
Try the following:
First use File Explorer on the device (or equally, browse device via computer and ActiveSync) and check to see if you have a file WifiInit showing in Windows\StartUp\ folder. This is the .lnk to the WifiInit.exe file in root the \Windows\ folder.
i) If the shortcut is present in the StartUp folder delete the shortcut (only) and soft reset your device. After re-boot try turning on WiFi. If it still doesn't work, then navigate to the WifiInit.exe in the root of Windows folder and click it to run the exe. Then try the Wifi again.
ii) If the shorcut is not present in the \Windows\Startup folder, then navigate to the WifiInit file in \Windows\ root, click it to run and check if WiFi works after that. If it does then you need to create shortcut in the \Windows\StartUp\ folder
Anything beyond this I cannot help further with.
Good Luck
Thnaks for your interest Nandaly!
Okay, i tried it with the O2-ROM installed.
There was the link in StartUp having 26Bytes on the phone.
WiFi still doesn't work after soft-reset.
So i looked in the Windows folder and there are 2 files: a link to WiFiInit.exe (sic!) and the file itself.
WiFiInit.exe (6.95KB) doesn't respond to clicking on it.
Wifi is now grayed out in the CommMgr.
With a new link in StartUp it's not grayed out anymore, but it doesn't work...
What i've seen on bootup is that the Wiz seemingly is trying to start the wifi and fails. (it takes longer before it launches the TouchFlow interface)
So i fear that the WiFi-EPROM is corrupted or it has sth to do with the battery that i had to revive. Since i didn't smash my device into the corner, i bet it is not a loose antenna...
