SIM PIN or Device pass
Are you sure is a SIM lock? I dont think so...
If it is sim lock so the device gonna tell us forthe SIM
But it seems the dev is locked with pass i dont know if strong or 4 pin
Make a hard reset.
If is the SIM see the letter where the SIM comes it must have the SIM PIN and the SIM PUK. if you dont know even that... put off the sim card and disable thesim PIN LOCK in settings.... personal.... phone... services.... and security tab.... for sim.
Just letting you know that you don't go into services. The security should be on the phone page. just uncheck the box.

Is there any solution to start a magician without inserting the pin code.
(it mean that I have another solution to protect it)
Thanks
gguyaz: do you mean SIM card pin or password pin.
Sim card pin - diable the sim card pin in phone settings I believe.
Password PIN, disable the password in Settings.
If there's another issue, there is another thread on this that asked a similar question some months ago.

Or try Omega One Pass, it allows you to use the hardware buttons instead of the pin.

Also with PockenZenPhone can do this
I brought a 8125 from ebay it had a cracked screen. So I had an PPC 6700 that had a bad radio so I took the screen out of it and placed it in the 8125. Everything worked great but when I turned it on it cam up with the message " Invalid or missing SIM card". I placed my Tmobile SIM card in I turned on the device and it reads the same thing. I read all the posts that I can find about this and they really didn't have much about it. I noticed that its searching for the network buy looking at the signal indicator but I also noticed the the led to sho that the phone was on doesn't blink. On some of the posts that I read it stated that if someone put the wrong code in to many times that the phone will be "counter blocked". I think maybe thats what happened with the last owner of the phone did. I at first unlocked the sim with the sim unlocker thinking that was the problem was but it still didn't work. My question is if it goes in to the counter blocked mode does it prevent the software from unlocking the sim. My other question is what is the file's name that when you place a sim in the phone that it runs to enter the unlock code on the phone? I was thinking maybe if I run that file manualy that maybe it will get the phone out of the counter blocked mode and then I can try running the software unlock again. Things that I have done to try to get it to work was sim and cid unlock, flashed tmobile rom to the device checked the contacts in the sim holder to make sure they are touching the sim card. Any ideas?
Sounds like it may not be a software problem. If the device was legitimately software blocked, it would display that, instead of 'invalid/missing SIM'. If it's IMEI blocked, it would have accepted the SIM but been unable to connect to the network.
The problem is most likely either the SIM itself or the onboard SIM reader. Try obtaining another SIM card and seeing if the device will read it.
Hey guys...i've just installed onyx 4.7 WM6.1 on my HTC Touch, and it never selects the network when it starts, i have to turn off the phone the cellular radio and turn it on again everytime the phone starts to select the network so any one got answer to this problem please?!
Mmm, this problem is quite unheard off.
Anyway, I have a quick solution for you, go to:
Start -> Settings -> Go to the Personal Tab -> Phone -> Go to Network Tab -> and under Network Selection you might want to set that to manual and select the operator of the network.
Do remember, when you go and roam (Travel Overseas) Make sure you set that back to automatic, so you can connect to other countries networks.
i have made it on manual already and i didnt work either...look i have removed the sim while installing the rom..mayb i should try and install it again with the sim in the mob?!!
mmm, have you tried other operator's sim?
If they can work, means your sim fault.
Vice Versa, if the new sim card dont work, thats most likely your phone's fault?
Have you tried hard-resetting?
well...about that i found what's wrong and i installed 2 different roms and the same problem exists!!
the problem is when the fone starts it doesnt ask me for the pin while it requires the pin 2 start....soo when i enter the pin in the phone setting it runs normaly
so what i've currently done is making it not 2 ask 4 the pin code
but i still dont like that option but i dont know what 2 do?
in the same way when i put my sim in my old fone..it runs normaly and asks me 4 the pin before it starts?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
mayb this's a radio problem?!!!!!!!!! i tried to install the new one 3.39 but i'm still facing the same problem?!!
What pin can that be?
Is it your sim card pin?
Check with your operator if there is a 'PIN Code' locked on your sim card.
yes..the sim card pin!

Yup, call your operator for details.
Your operator is the person who charges you for your monthly bill!
They will guide you through it, just tell them that you lost your PIN code for your sim card.
I'm going to try to downgrade the radio version...but i want 2 be sure if that is ok, and wont destroy anything in my phone
Yup, no problem, its okay to do that.
Whats the problem now
i have a g1 but it doesnt made the unlock code request.
and it show a message
NO SIM CARD have NO SERVICE.
the sim is working perfectly on another phone.
how can i check the sim card reader..?
or any tip....
no body...????? heeeeeeeeeeeeelp....
Go to Settings > Wireless Controls > Mobile Networks > Network Operators.
Select the new network, and you'll be prompted for the code.
Also (for your silly simple checks) ensure the sim card is inserted in the correct orientation.. the key on the sim needs to match the diagram on top of the sim slot.

Unless something's broken, it won't even be able to go in backwards. The key cut needs to be in the right place in order for the BATTERY to be installed.

Why so it is (my fault for never actually trying.. had someone say they tried backwards [and it failed] but they also previously opened the phone without the right tools and the plastic of the battery case was a bit of a mess..)

i try all but noting...
hello, me too i try to use my but i can't when i put the sim card it always shows "no sim card in phone" now what can i do to display the enter code screen?
food for thought
Just curious, have you gone to Settings-Applications-Manage Applications and searched for Google Apps and cleared the cache.
I had a similar issue with the unlock screen and my calls never ring through, they went right to voice mail. I cleared the cache and that resolved the issue. Not sure if it will take care of the network issue, but give it a try.
any update about..???? no body know the problem..?
Hey guys, strange problem:
Got a Telus LG Optimus 7. Want to unlock it to Rogers. Got the unlock code, however when I use my Rogers SIM the Optimus asks for a 'PUK' number.
Long story short, I called Rogers, they gave me the PUK for my SIM. When I enter it I get 'SIM Error'. So I went to a Rogers store and got a new SIM card with a new PUK--same error. Tried someone else's Roger's SIM--still asks for PUK.
I called around, no one has any idea what's going on. Google can barely help. Telus tells me I have to pay $50 to get it off their network, but I can't trust the rep knew what the problem was and they won't just give me an unlock code I already have. A 'cell phone repair shop' tells me LG phones are impossible to unlock anyway (? really?). So my question is:
How do I unlock this phone? What kind of security is this (could the PUK refer to someother other than a SIM's PUK)? Anyone have experience unlocking a Telus Optimus? Can I flash this thing and see if it'll bypass the PUK part?
Any help would be deeply appreciated. Other wise I have to try and resell this phone.
So, I re-flashed the phone anyway, just to see if it works.
Now it's a little different. Now it asks for a PUK and once I enter that it tells me to create a PIN. When I do it says SIM ERROR! So while I can get a little farther it still errors out!
I've tried both the Telus flash and the Mexico flash.
So if it's not the firmware, what could be causing this?!
PIN & PUK security depends on SIM card functionality, in this case phone software is transparent and does not verify PIN. IMHO it looks like incompatibility between SIM card and WP7 phone or strange configured SIM card. Try on another non-WP7 phone, maybe if you set or disable PIN code card will function on WP7 phone.
Thanks for the tip elektryk. I think you're on to something.
I have tried the SIM in a non-WP7 phone. It works fine. I put it in both an iPhone and BB. Using the iPhone I created a PIN then tried the Optimus. It now asks for a SIM pin--which I input, then goes back to the PUK screen which still fails.
It seems to be a very strange incompatibility with the SIM, even though I've read reports of Telus Optimus being unlocked for Rogers SIMs.
Bad luck I suppose?
I have exactly the same problem. I put a SIM with PIN security enabled, and after I enter the correct PIN requests the PUK!! and if I disable the PIN secure, request inmediatly for the PUK. The Phone say: Your phone is Blocked. Contact the Service provider for an unlock code.--- the only problem is that I don't use the AT&T service, so I can't contact them!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Fabian, I could not find a way around the problem so I sold the phone. Luckily there was another e900h which was unlocked for sale. The guy followed the same steps I did but it never asked for a PUK. Weird how some phones do and others don't (especially considering both phones were from the same provider).
EDIT: Hey, try this, see if it works: Try without sim card for enter the unlock code. and type 2945#*900# for enter the unlock menu

Hey, start the phone without sim card, but no unlock code required, no where to type.
I've a E900h where none of the 5 unlock codes provided worked for some reason. Haven't ask for PUK yet but lost as to what to do right now.
Typing 2945#*900# just produces a failed msg - top left hand corner is a file icon with lock on the left.
In our country ones you buy a sim from network provider.
they give us a card with a PUK code for the sim we buy.
Try to contact your service provider.
Unlock codes is For unlocking SIm Only.
