I brought a 8125 from ebay it had a cracked screen. So I had an PPC 6700 that had a bad radio so I took the screen out of it and placed it in the 8125. Everything worked great but when I turned it on it cam up with the message " Invalid or missing SIM card". I placed my Tmobile SIM card in I turned on the device and it reads the same thing. I read all the posts that I can find about this and they really didn't have much about it. I noticed that its searching for the network buy looking at the signal indicator but I also noticed the the led to sho that the phone was on doesn't blink. On some of the posts that I read it stated that if someone put the wrong code in to many times that the phone will be "counter blocked". I think maybe thats what happened with the last owner of the phone did. I at first unlocked the sim with the sim unlocker thinking that was the problem was but it still didn't work. My question is if it goes in to the counter blocked mode does it prevent the software from unlocking the sim. My other question is what is the file's name that when you place a sim in the phone that it runs to enter the unlock code on the phone? I was thinking maybe if I run that file manualy that maybe it will get the phone out of the counter blocked mode and then I can try running the software unlock again. Things that I have done to try to get it to work was sim and cid unlock, flashed tmobile rom to the device checked the contacts in the sim holder to make sure they are touching the sim card. Any ideas?
Sounds like it may not be a software problem. If the device was legitimately software blocked, it would display that, instead of 'invalid/missing SIM'. If it's IMEI blocked, it would have accepted the SIM but been unable to connect to the network.
The problem is most likely either the SIM itself or the onboard SIM reader. Try obtaining another SIM card and seeing if the device will read it.
I have a Vodafone's TWIN sim card in which I have 2 different numbers: professional number and private number.
I am not concious about what SIM I have switched on in every specific moments so I am spending my money in professional calls and viceversa.
Everytime I want to change from one number to the other I have 2 possibilities:
1.- Turn off and Turn on the Phone in Comm Manager and enter PIN
2.- Use STK Service, selece which number I want ot switch on and enter PIN
I have been searching for a long time a program that changes the Wallpaper (or that writes anything in the main screen) based on the SIM I have switched on so I can be aware about what is the current active SIM at every moment. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything yet.
Also, is there any program to turn off and then turn on the phone with just one click as I am using it very often? Something to switch between sims in a TWIN sim card without entering the PIN?
Could anybody give me any idea? Any program that could help me for some of the mentioned purposes? Any forum in where I could continue my search?
Thank you very much in advance...
for no pin just take the pin of the sim card from the sim card settings. A nokia phone may help you...
Is not there anybody who can help me a little more?
Thank you in advance.....

I have the same situation!!! So I'm also interrested!
Hey guys...i've just installed onyx 4.7 WM6.1 on my HTC Touch, and it never selects the network when it starts, i have to turn off the phone the cellular radio and turn it on again everytime the phone starts to select the network so any one got answer to this problem please?!
Mmm, this problem is quite unheard off.
Anyway, I have a quick solution for you, go to:
Start -> Settings -> Go to the Personal Tab -> Phone -> Go to Network Tab -> and under Network Selection you might want to set that to manual and select the operator of the network.
Do remember, when you go and roam (Travel Overseas) Make sure you set that back to automatic, so you can connect to other countries networks.
i have made it on manual already and i didnt work either...look i have removed the sim while installing the rom..mayb i should try and install it again with the sim in the mob?!!
mmm, have you tried other operator's sim?
If they can work, means your sim fault.
Vice Versa, if the new sim card dont work, thats most likely your phone's fault?
Have you tried hard-resetting?
well...about that i found what's wrong and i installed 2 different roms and the same problem exists!!
the problem is when the fone starts it doesnt ask me for the pin while it requires the pin 2 start....soo when i enter the pin in the phone setting it runs normaly
so what i've currently done is making it not 2 ask 4 the pin code
but i still dont like that option but i dont know what 2 do?
in the same way when i put my sim in my old fone..it runs normaly and asks me 4 the pin before it starts?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
mayb this's a radio problem?!!!!!!!!! i tried to install the new one 3.39 but i'm still facing the same problem?!!
What pin can that be?
Is it your sim card pin?
Check with your operator if there is a 'PIN Code' locked on your sim card.
yes..the sim card pin!

Yup, call your operator for details.
Your operator is the person who charges you for your monthly bill!
They will guide you through it, just tell them that you lost your PIN code for your sim card.
I'm going to try to downgrade the radio version...but i want 2 be sure if that is ok, and wont destroy anything in my phone
Yup, no problem, its okay to do that.
Whats the problem now
Hello All,
I am using HTC touch for a while and would use different ROM versions quite often. Recently i put in the some ROM which event i don’t remember which one i started getting this error below. I checked and made sure that there is nothing in the SIM card i also put in the SIM in different Cell phone to make sure its blank. I also reverted the device to the Factory Image but still the same issue. There is no pattern on when i get this error it would some time come twice in 1 hour and some time it would be couple of hours. Once i get this error and select Ok my network will go to searching and often end up enable Flight Mode and then disabling it.
"SIM card full. The SIM card is full. You must remove some messages from your SIM card to receive incoming SIM messages."
Any pointers are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jasjit
it will be necessary for you to call the carrier to locate a retail location near you that has a Cellebrite device... not all locations have one as they are quite expensive... using the Cellebrite it is possible to wipe/edit your SIM...
this happens sometime with my device also.
but in my case i just clean simcard and reinsert it.
may be u have faulty simcard or sim socket .
Hello
After I install FR008 , I LOST MY SIGNAL IN MY ARIA . I cann't even connect to the network at all . I keep getting no services or Limited services .
When i search Manually for an Operator I keep getting , the sim card can't be connected to ... .
HOW TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE ?
I have tried 2 radios .
1- liberty-radio47.41.35.10H_7.09.35.13-signed
2- liberty-radio47.54.35.20H_7.13.35.13-signed
HELO PLZ PLZ PLZ
Wow, odd. I had a similar issue. I would look at my phone and have no service (ATT in NYC - YOU GET SERVICE). Then maybe I thought it was my office building, nope. Also tried different radios. Nope.
Went to CM61.1 and never had another issue.
I had same issue randomly before. Though setting network types bring my signal back. In case you wanna try it:
- Dial *#*#4636#*#*
- Phone Info
- Bottom of the screen, try to change "Set preferred network type".

Something similar to this happened to me.
I had CM6, and (without thinking) did a factory reset of the phone (Settings/Privacy/Factory data reset).
When the phone rebooted, it didn't recognize the SIM card. I almost [email protected]#t bricks. The card wouldn't work in any other phone, but other SIM cards worked fine in the Aria.
The solution was to un-root/reinstall stock at&t Android ROM and take it to the at&t store. They replaced my SIM card.

Did the STC SIM card work in any other phone?
I'm guessing that when you flashed the ROM, it hosed the SIM card.
Please check to see if the STC SIM card works in another unlo.cked phone. If it doesn't then it's been damaged. If it DOES work in another phone, then there's something going on with how your phone is interacting with the network/radio software on the device.

It sounds like the SIM card is bad. You should get a replacement.
I'm not an expert on this, and can only suggest. If other cards work in the phone you're probably ok.

What error are you seeing? When I had a problem, the device said there was no SIM card present. It wasn't just "no service."
If an at&t card works on the phone you are fine. You just need to fix carrier issues.
If you want, unroot and load the stock ROM from at&t and try the SIM.

What didn't work?
I'm trying to help (with my limited knowledge).
It really sounds like the STC card is bad.
When you start the phone, do you see a big picture of a SIM Card displayed? If so, that means one of the following:
There is no card present
There is a card present, but it is inserted incorrectly or not completely in the slot
There is a card present, but it is either deactivated or damaged
If you DON'T see a big picture of a SIM card when the phone starts, then the SIM card is in place and not damaged. You may not have service (there is an "x" on the top left of the signal strength bars). But the card is still good. It's also possible the card is not provisioned for STC. They can re-provision it. Call them and tell them the phone's IMEI number.
I really want to help!

Ok...I think I'm understanding now. I didn't know you searched for networks and got the error message.
The error message "Your Sim Card doesn't Allow Connection to this Network" is a good indicator that the SIM Card is defective.
Try the following. If they don't work, try purchasing a new SIM card.
switch to Airplane mode and back again
go to Settings/Wireless & network/Mobile networks and check "Use only 2G networks."
Go to the dial pad and dial *#*4636#*#* and select Phone Information. Scroll to the end and choose "GSM only" in the drop-down box above "turn off radio"
Go to http://www.amta.org.au/pages/amta/Check.the.Status.of.your.Handset and see if your phone has been reported lost or stolen and re-branded (I'm not sure where you got it, but it doesn't hurt to check).
If all else fails, I suggest getting a new SIM card from STC Mobile. Explain that it just stopped working and you need another one. They may charge you a small fee, but at least the phone will work.
Good luck,
Dan
It's working Now .
thanks
