Magician: turn on only in bootloader, can't be flashed

Please, help me in the following situation
I bought Qtek s100 It turns on only in bootloader mode. What was before I don't know.
Now I try to reflash it via PC. I unpacked rom 1.12 from imate and put there file MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe and then ran it. The utility can't see the device information (it is normal) but it can't see the informatin about the rom I'd like to flash. I click @[email protected] but it says it gather information about the device and nothing happened.
I tried to run again about 20 times, but nothing helped.
I tried to flash it via card using rom-image but there is no invitation to reflash though I flashed via card more than 20 times other htc devices and then everything was ok.
I ran mtty 1.42 and gave command d2s, but it said unknown command. Then I gave d2s command then the device turned off.
I have qtek s110 with broken display. Is it possible to change rom-memory?
Is it possible to get service_manual for magician?

First of all, did you back up your current ROM to SD before Flashing new ROM.
1. Yes. It's VERY GOOD. Disconnect your device from PC. You need to insert SD with your ROM to the device and Turn On. Press Power or Cancel button (i didn't realy remeber try all). After that device will flash ROM form SD.
2. No. It's VERY BAD. You need to know start address form what device should start after Reset. Sory here i did not know what it is.

thanks, but te problem is the device doesn't want to work with card. No reaction on the card with rom-image, turning off when typing d2s

Don't know where you bought & how much you paid for it (sure hope it's less then a new screen), but sir I guess you're scr*w*d.
Maybe you can replace your broken S110 screen with the one from the S100. There's a rar file on the board, with a detailed description & pictures on howto disassemble your magician, think it's called disassembly.rar.

thanks, but I think the screen is alive, it shows usb or serial and etc.
As far as i know, there is some diagnostic tests to understand where is the problem. how to activate it?

Sorry I don't know of a diagnostics test. But you can have a bootloader without a working rom. Since you bought the S100 in a bootloader state, that's very suspicious to me. & that's why I advised you to replace the broken screen on your S110 with the one from your S100.
Hope you can sort it out & if you happen to run across a diag. pls update the wiki with it.

WM6k on Magician - Your Attansion needed

For a start - i am a fresh newbie and dot have any experience at all in ROMS.
I have read all threads on this tree but decided to do it anyway - just for the fun and experience...
I DIDN'T succeeded on upgrading my jam to wm6 but maybe you will be able to tell me why.
I have download a JasJAR wm6 update and started to play with it a little.
For a start , i have put the Last 113 update(MA_TMNL_11300_132_11200_Ship) and the new wm6 Nk.nbf file together in the same folder - and started the NOid upgrade, for my (very hough )surprise - the upgrade process went exactly like from 112 to 113 meaning all 3 stages from 113 to 2.25 - my heart pumped up for about 30 min until the upgrade completed(64M) - after that all i got is the USB\Serial boot loader.
Is this a stage someone have reached?
If the image could uploaded but couldn't boot - can this be fixed via hack ?
PS - all this started when i wanted the new SPB shell application since it is a very cool looking but works only on WM5...

That's realy interestig... =) Did you tried to upgrade to WM5?

Nope - i didn't reach this stage in WM5....
this thing started when i download the WM6 from mininova...wanted to play with it a little bit.
i tried the original ROMUpgradeUt.exe and it gave me a JAS JAR picture with model number - then i tried the NOid.exe and it gave me a Magician picture with its model number!!! -from there the road was short to try what i did in the above..

ive got the same phone and when i tried upgrading to wm5 i incountered the same problem, it now wont do anything no matter what i do soft reset, hard reset, take the battery out for an hour. it is stuck in a boot loader screen so i think it might be salageable. but cant find original 2003 windows ver. and cant get it to connect with activesync. although when i do connect it, i do get a connection via usb and get the sound confirmation and pop up. if anyone could help or give me any suggestions it would be great.

Hello!!! =) I've tryed to upgrade to WM6...=) So now it's a brick.. -) I've bootloader screen with word "Serial" and i can't get usb connection.. -(
If someone know how i can resurrect it? =)

No.. it was jast glitch... -( When i connect my mda to PC and make reset, it shows Usb, but when i disconnect my device, it still shows usb... -(

MDA Vario II (Hermes) upgrade problem,

I need help!!! I have a Vario II and wanted to unlock it to use another sim, i downloaded a package called HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a and started it. Ok now i have the big problem that when i start the MDA, only the Tri color screen appears. What can i do, do make it work again??? Maybe an upgrade, i have no idea.. Please help me, i wanna use my Vario II again, now it seems, that i can throw it in the rubbish bin. I'm absolutely hopelessly....
Ps. I also tried to update it to WM6 with the t-mobile software and with a normal one, downloaded from a link in this forum but after 1 % there is a update error 286 : The ROM Update Utility has encountered communication errors during the update process... This programm will guide you.. and so on ..
On the screen are the 3 colors and white and the Information: HERM 300 IPL-1.01 and HERM 300 SPL-1.40.0ipro

Firstly, have you tried the unbricking wiki page and followed the instructions. Be patient, read, reread and understand.
Secondly, what OS are you using (Vista, XP, W2K etc?) do you have the .net framework installed on that PC?
You (fortunately) appear to have HardSPL on the device by the sound of it so should be able to unbrick it if you follow the instructions on the wiki page.
Make sure you're using a non-vista PC with the .net framework installed and then try flashing ANY OS ONLY Rom in NBH format using the custom RUU wrapper. This should restore your device to some form of order.

stymied on upgrading Wixard

Hi Folks,
Flashed me Wizard using the WST last August - forever afterwards stuck on bootup screens tho the bootloader and resetter could be invoked.. It sat there for months cos I've had a busy life...
Recently tried SD card read and flash, which it did with apparent success, but now the Wizard gives only bootloader screen, no bootup screens.
Looking to use SDwrite and other tools in ROMtools to write my original WST backups onto an SD card, and then reflash into the Wizard. (Can make RAW flash cards on the Wizard using ROMupdate_115)
Got the ROMtools software suite, but in Win XP I see a brief DOS screen - shows faster than I can blink, then returns to Windows. (Hum!)
Now wouldn't it be nice if the WST could prepare for possible trouble by adding a facility to write the Wizard's original software into a nice backup SD card in case Active Sync cannot work...
Ideas, anyone, or is this device fated to gather dust in my attic?

[Q] Vanilla upgrade failed, USB out on TYTN

Hello,
I've tried to reload my TYTN with Vanilla Rom to resolve the 'no gsm' message on it. During the flash, Usb link is lost and now when I turn on the PDA, I've just the screen above.
Now, the USB port don't work, when I connect the PDA on PC it don't see it. Maybe it is possible to restore it with SD card but how?

get a storage card less than 2GB, format it and in your PC rename the Signed.nbh file to HERMIMG.nbh. Insert the storage card and put the device in bootloader mode it will start the flash from the sd card

I 've execute your instructions, it better but after bootloader, I have wrote in blue on white screen 'loading', few seconds after 'checking' and finally '00028002' 'not allow'.
After that, the pda return on 4 colored blocs, on the upper (red) there is writting :
in white : HERM200 IPL-1.00
in yellow : HERM200 SPL-1.04
On the lower bloc (white) 'Serial'
When I reset the pda, I have these instructions at the bottom of the screen :
M 05
B 04 No GSM
B 05 D 3.22.0.0
Maybe this malfunction is due to a wrong rom but how identifie the right rom and where found it ?
Maybe it's due to the hardspl not installed but how install it wihout usb connection. ActiveSync don't connect the pda.

Is somebody could tell me where find the french rom htc tytn wm5 (3-22-0-0 I think)
