I've got a huge Problem with my Herald 100
I Flash him with the Best Rom Files in that forum and now i wanna connect Wifi and nothing is gonna happend.
The Colorball is spining for 3 seconds and nothing.
Herald got the Original Rom from HTC and once again nothing.
I hope you have a solution.
By the way this board is the best Supporter Board any way.

Hello all thsiis my forst post here and im in need of help
Today my Imate Jamin started playing up
details are
IPL 1.00
SPL 2.13.0000
GSM 02.20.21
OS 2.13.9.23
now you see its started with the phone turning its self off (could have been dead battery) then when i put it back on charge it tokk ages to turn on. once i got it on everything was running very slowly. I carried out a hard reset to see if this would help it has not. when i soft reset it cant take around 5 mins for the phoe to turn on, Also the bluetooth is now not working, it searched for a device but takes about anothe mind then comes up with bluetooth harware error.
even have tried reinstalling the latest rom from the imate ftp site but phone just turns off when it starts the process.
do you have any recomendations on what to do or is it a duck.

also have tried to do the clear storage and its just teh same story hope som eone can help dont fancy wasting this phone
Just an update
have flashed the rom ans im still not getting the bluetooth to work
says hardware problem.
also there is no sound from the speaker. the phone speaker works
but it is still taking over 5 mins to boot up when you reset it.
anybody any ideas
take it no one can help then oh well looks lik its gonna be an expensive mp3 player. Dont suppose anyone knows how big a card it wil take
sorry mate this does sound like a hardware problem. However, I don't think it would hurt to try one of the older (more stable) roms in this post

I'm using a 2gig sd, and I'm sure I've seen reports of 4gig working here somewhere (but i'm 2lazy2search), but AFAIK no more than that. Good luck with your expensive mp3 player! i have seen a few posts like yours, I have my fingers crossed for my Jamin as I got it on ebay (no returns)!
wonder if it would be worth trying to source a new mainboard for it anybody know how much they are?

second: i have 2 htc artemis p3300 and i have a big problem with two...
my p3300 run with any rom, original or cooked but after 15 min +-
my screen become white and the phone is freezed i will remove battery
and waiting 5 minutes for restart ....
anyone have the solution at this problem???

Flash with ORIGINAL OFFICIAL RELEASED ROM for Artemis,
and see if same problem exists or not?

Replace the battery.
Have this same problem some time ago then I replace the battery with a new one and the problem is solved.
Could you solve the problem with a new battery?

For me it did not solve the problem. Unfortunately.
I had the same problem. Everything I did not solved the white screen and freeze. Finally I dismantled the phone ( Look wiki how to dismantle ) and cleaned with a circuit cleaner. Now since 3 months no white screen or freeze.
If you carry your phone in your jean pocket,the oxidation can be the cause.

returning Universal user, just bought one used from a store, then a just whent on trying a lot of different Wm6 roms but they all had the same problem on my Uni, they ALL crashed by either freezing or just "turn off itself".
then after some time using the rom it crashes hard that it cant be turned on then it crashes at the boot screen.
i would like to get the original Wm5 rom back but where to go for finding it?

There are more mobile providers which sold Uni, so there are more factory WM5 versions. Personally I'd recommend the TMobile one. I'm sorry, but at the moment im using my notebook, and i dont have the ROM here, but i'll upload it somewhere ASAP

i've been "forced" to use my Kaizer instead of my uni these last couple of days
but mine is from denmark, which was branded by Sonofon, but i would rather have some kind of "clean" unbranded version, by the way are there any difference between a branded and one that isn't ?
Found a Version of wm5 that is clean
so i think that i wont need the one from t-mobile, but we will se how it evolves
anyways how to support 4gb in wm5 ?

Welcome to the forum
I don´t think that the problem is caised by a 6 or 6.1 ROM, however try a wm5 and if not corrects try to read the Wiki
And don´t forget to vote!!

Could be a battery problem issue, test connected to wall charger and see if behaives the same, also remove your sd card and sim to test
Doing this we can try to identify the problem

thx for that i have two batteries one that is brand new that make it crash the other one is the original that wont charge more than 50%, but the problem isn't there when it is connectet with my cradle or my charger
the problem isn't there while using the old batteri...

There are some problems with your new battery, perhaps not the original
Here on Universal forum there is a member called duke nukem, he claims he sells the original ones, try to buy another battery

Hi guys, I am new to the HTC world .
I bought a Vodafone branded HTC Magic two weeks ago, but I had problems almost immediately. In practice, my screen goes mad and acts as if I touch randomly on the lower part of the screen itself. In order to get it back to work properly I have to turn it off and then on again, sometimes more than one time. Do you think it is a screen defect or it has something to do with the ROM?
I have hard resetted it but nothing changes (the ROM is not cooked, it is just the Vodafone one).

evene if I didn't get answers, I bump this topic because, after I sent my Vodafone Magic to HTC and they gave me a new one, I have the same problem.
Someone says that this problem is caused by a software incompatiblility with the SIMs from the Wind Italian operator, but I also tried with another SIM and I got the same problem (even if minor than with Wind).
Is it possible that no one had this problem?
I tried ROMs, patches, kernels, but I had no luck.

hi nice guys! I have a opal at about 2 years, it ever worke fine, but for a few months ago, It started to work strange, it started "quickshutdown.exe" i tought it was a problem from the rom (using pajerm one) i've downgraded to the original one, but the problem stayed there...today I disassembled the phone started it with just the board and lcd fixing the battery with my hand to see if there is a problem with the cover power button, but nothing done, the problem keeps there... it acts like the power button were stuck always pressing.. anyone had something like this? any solution?!

bro i think it is not software problem or rom
maybe it refer to hardwares
so it's better to show your device to a an expert
