Hi all,
I uploaded all roms + extended roms I have for our beloved HTC Wizard.
You can find them here:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/HTC_Wizard/
Maybe a (FTP) administrator can move them to the main FTP index so we have a folder like all other HTC phones.
Any new roms can ofcourse be uploaded to the same folder.
Have fun!
Hey
why you don't have an german rom ?
regards, Peter
Because I dont have any German roms myself.
I uploaded all roms I found myself...
If you can provide me any links than I can download it and upload to the XDA FTP.
Has anyone managed to make a ROM dump of the UK T-Mobile ROM?
I would be interested in an o2 UK rom also.
Would be nice.
Yeah, would be good to get an archive of all the roms, good work on getting this started.
If i wasn't in such a hurry to flash my Rom i would have waited until i got a Mini SD card and backed my UK T-Mobile ROM up first, im just too impatient! Wish i had waited now, as now i am after it again!!
Anyone?... :?
Thanks Panja
can anyone upload the TW_Chinese ROM? Thanks

How i can do this? Is there any proggy which backup the rom?
To backup your rom you need to do the folowing...
First:
Your phone needs to have the bootloaded unlocked ,so use the following unlock tool lokiwiz - HTC Wizard Unlocker UPDATE Version 0.2a created by machinagod which can be found here, and when you run the PC app choose 'C' for SuperCID (this will unlock the bootloader) Version 0.2a is the latest and it worked great on my phone, instructins are on the page - Thank you machinagod for all your work here, its a great tool!
Second:
To backup the ROM, download the two files attached to This Post written by arnoldl - Thanks for this info arnoldl, very helpful. Follow the instructions in the post.
Third:
Which ROM is it by the way? T-Mobile? O2? is it a UK ROM?
When you have it saved can you upload it to The FTP area and post here to tell us what it's called and where it is so it can be catalogued with others to help build a good archive of them.
Cheers and Hope this info helps

you can restore the image only, when you leave the image on the sd-card.
when you write it on your harddisk with ntrw and write it back to sd-card with ntrw the restore won't work!
Nobody here has confirmed, that the image (here on ftp) are working!

Update: The image "germany in qtek.rar" (size 50mb) was deleted from ftp

Cheers greddy - i was just about to post that!!
Can the image on the SD card be coppied to a Zip or Rar file directly and NOT using NTRW? Maybe this can be tried and extracted back onto a mini SD card by someone else, im very willing to try it, then we will all know if this works.
So for now bill_viper - Backup your ROM to MiniSD card but do not use NTRW!! Just keep that Mini SD card safe and do not delete it until a safe way of backing up the image to a distributable file or archive has been found.
I've just done a bit more reading and it looks like you can use NTRW to create a backup file of the ROM from the SD card image.
The problem experienced is with loading ANY rom onto the device using the 1.06 bootloader (the one with the K-JAM rom) so in order to put a Rom onto a device with the 1.06 K-Jam rom - the 1.06 bootloader) you first have to put the prodigy rom on or something like this using the *.exe file as it has a different bootloader (1.01)
So bill_viper please do use NTRW to backup the ROM image on your MiniSD card, and please post it on the FTP for archiving.
Cheers
First of all i would like thanq mattstroud for your time.
The info u've posted are very helpful. I have a Qtek 9100 English Version.
I will read the thread u specified above and i'll backup my rom and upload it.
Hello mattstroud
i have try Booloader 1.01, 1.03 and 1.06!
No luck and not the reason, why ntrw makes **** when read and
wrote images.
We will see 8)

..
Hi greddy,
did you not have a damaged image file wasn't that the reason for your problems?
----------EDIT----------
Seeing sun75's post proves that the problem does lie with the 1.06 Bootloader and not the NTRW image, so greddy i think your image file was damaged which caused problems regardless of which bootloader was being used.
Cheers for this info sun75, good to get some definite proof after all.

I am using ntrw 2.00 from here, is this right ?

Ok, i didn't know this. Looking at sun75's post it worked fine for him when he loaded a rom with the 1.03 bootloader. Maybe this problem is specific to your device? :?
2 new roms added:
K-JAM_Italian_1030902_102_ship.exe
K-JAM_Norwegian_1040902_104_10910_ship.exe
Excellent, nice one.

Try reflashing the ROM or switching ROMs.
I suppose you have HardSPL installed, it shouldn't be any problem!
In case you have any questions, please consult the Trinity Guides and the Wiki. There is also a Wiki page referring to SD Card flashing (my personal favorite which I recommend).

You find everything at the guides and Wiki I mentioned above!
After emailing back and forth with the HTC support team about the Leo's "too loud ear piece" and after asking me a million questions they finally sent me the Debug tool 3.4 to run it in my Leo and send them the logfile.
Well the stupid application it's been running for days and never seems to stop. It did create some 20 DM files on my SD card which can't be seen in explorer anymore. I put it into a card reader to see what's happening.
I hard reseted my Leo to stop the debugging tool but no use, I reflashed, taken out the sd card, but nu use the darn thing still runs and kills my battery! WIFI doesn't work either!!!
What should I do?
Please help!!!

I even swapped SD cards, formatted them you name it I've done it!
Please share your wisdom if you have an answer!!!
PS debug tool 3.4 is what's causing the problem!
Are you doing a hard reset without your sd card inserted?..
If the answer is yes, then try..
format your sd card, then flash a new rom using goldcard method.... it is virtually impossible for the file to stay storaged in the sd (after format) or the device (beacuse u did format it when doing the flashing process).
In makes sense but!

I know hard reset should have helped, but try letting the phone empty and then remove the battery for a couple of hours-day, then try it agian.
Mabey I don't get the question but.. how come it's still working with the debugging tool while the phone is flashed? The debugging tool is prob. placed on a special sector of the main memory normaly not accessed by a rom, the program it self doesn't run from normal memory sectors, so you might have a try with a SPL update/overwright. If all fails send it back, why would htc give you this program? they allways say send it back and you'll get a new one?...
please post the tool, might give some insight after disasm. MFG area is interesting.
It's been written to special memory place.
Again, please post the tool you were given
how are you doing a hard reset?, are you using the clean memory tool software on your device, or are u pressing vol up and down simultaneously while powering on the device...... I just dont get how the program stays in memory after hard reset, even after flashing.

I've attached the toll. I finally got rid of it by being able to rerun the program (which i prior tried a million times) and rewrite the parametres to "0" instead of 435 and 401. Give it a go if you know what you're doing and you can read log files.
regards,
G
You got rid of it. I edit out the post
Solution:
First backup your SD, after format with FAT32 .... reinstall your ROM and after insert your SD.
got dmmnit, glad u got rid of it, maybe we can learn how it.doez stick to the rom like that n use it in other apps like smartprotect. congrats!:
hi, do u mind sharing how u got rid of it?
I run this tool too, but after have no way to stop first try to read forum. Solution to stop program already is given from wmfreak. It is not need to make hard reset or to reformat SD card. Only things to do is to run program one more time and:

Arr, well im still hanging out with 1.48 for a while to even see if the jump to 1.66 is worth the hasstle.. Im guessing hspl will have to go on via some kind of VMware XP install... joy!
Can't you find a friend's Windows PC for the 5 mins it takes to flash HSPL?
Can't you run it through wine under linux?

Back on topic,
I see you have mentioned "Stock HSPL" and "Stock Radio" . Haven't you tried changing these?
First, I'd recommend installing HSPL 2.08.HSPL .
And make sure that what you have is really radio 2.14, and not for example 2.06.14_55 or something like that, I'd also recommend using either 2.15 or 2.12.
[P.S. : The Black Screen was a common issue of sd android builds that was usually related to the radio, assuming your information are correct, you shouldn't be having a problem]

clrcad.exe is only to enable sound, if the ROM is not booting without it, it is not going to boot with it.

Couldn't agree more, c'mon people, in the words of Jeremy Clarkson, how hard can it be? Also, try flashing HSPL2.08 then a custom ROM with Radio 2.15. For me flashing a custom ROM solved many of the issues I had originally with some of the Gingerbread Sense SD ROMs (I used to get FCs all the time [literally a constant stream of them] but these stopped after this.
Alternatively, you could just flash NAND Android.

I have flashed the 2.08 HSPL and have radio 2.15.XX.XX (But it is the 576 MB radio and it is the newest.)
The problem is that i click clrcad and Haret and then somesmall text appears and then i have a black HTC screen and then my Phone reboots
So what can i do ?

No, HSPL doesn't affect SD Android so you're fine there.
So it must be the radio or WM then,
Would using a boot loader application help the problem?
Thanks,

Done It At Last!
I have found the solution!!!
I was downloading the ROM and extracting to my desktop, then opening the android folder and copying the contents to the SD card root.
You need to keep the ROM in the Android folder that it comes with and put that in the root of the SD card!
Hope this helps my friend with the same problem...
Thanks guys for your help,
