Using Terminal Services Client through a Router

Hi all,
I have a Jasjar and can't access or should I say need help with setting up access through a Netgear Router. When I am at home I enter the ip address of the computer I want to access and it works awesome through the wireless network running through the Netgear router, but if I try to connect using the phone away form home it can't connect. I am assuming that it works at home as I am allready with in the network being that I am on the wireless network and when I am out I can't get in to the net work, I have no security on the router but I do have firewall turned on on the computer.

In your router: forward port 3389 to the ip of the pc you want to connect.
And if you connect using your phone(gprs), enter your home WAN-ip, ofcourse...

How do I find what my Home WAN-ip address is?

wifi problem

ok heres the deal... i have a MDA flashed with the software from att for the 8125 everything works great except when i turn wifi on, i can connect to the network but cant ever get a page to work. does anyone have any suggestions????? please help

Is this happening on any network or your home network?
Check this... go to Settings - Connections - Network Cards. Make sure the WLAN Adapter is set to connect to the internet. Then tap the WLAN Adapter and make sure IP Address is set to Server Assigned then in Name Servers you don't have anything. If any of these is different, change it to the above.

Yeah. I have the same problem. I have wifi pci asus, the signal is good. I have Lan tru router and now bridged connection. I set the ip, mask and gateway which are in the status of the brudge. And the internet explorer and opera wont load pages.?!??! dns isnt set.
The network adapter is sdio wlan.., and the connection is my work network in connection > connections > advanced >select networks.
i use wm6, nbd 8.0
What could be the problem???

i know there is a problem with secured networks, especially with wpa encryption. try to remove the encryption and see how it goes....

I have removed all encription. I tried preety much everithing and it doesnt work. All other free wifi networks work just fine, i can surf on internet.

what router do you have? i know that i could not connect to a 3com router with the wizard with any rom i tried.
try using a defined ip address and dns, meaning no dhcp. use a real dns addresses and not the default gateway...

Setting Up to connect to Wireless Network using WPA

Hi,
I have a SPV M700 and I am attempting to connect it to my wireless router. The Router has WPA as the security. I have gone through the confirguation on the SPV M700 but I get stuck on the to the EAP Type. I cannot untick the box which states "Use IEEE802.1X Network work Access Control". The only options I have is select either PEAP or Smart Card or Certificate. If I then hit the properties button for either the PEAP or Smart Card or Certificate. It states "cannot log on the wireless network. This network requies a Personal certificate to positively Identify you". If I hit the finish button all it states is my network is available and I am unable to connect.
Is there anyway of connecting to my router via WAP? How do I get a PEAP or Smart Card or Certificate from my router ?

I know its bad form to reply to your own post but I think I have discovered the problem. Its the Zoom Router that I am using that is causing the Problem.
I borrowed a Dlink router and it connects with no problems straight away. I also discovered I can connect to unsecured networks in my street also with no problems.
Anyhow I spend hours trying to configure the Zoom Router from no security to full security to no avail. I have change every setting on the router, once again to no avail. I have contacted Zoom themselves to find out what could be the issue. So far they are clueless.
So my advice is don't use a Zoom Router with WM5 or WM6
So anyone got a suggestions for a router that works with there SPV M700?

My htc doesnt connect to wifi :( help please

i am hoping i will get the solution for my problem from this forum if there is one on this earth.
i bought htc h2.i am trying to connect my htc to my wireless router at home but its not connecting to it.it has found my home network and trying to connect but doesnt connect actually.
I have a nokia n80 as well.i just need to put the wep key in that and it connects with the wireless dont know whats wrong with my htc.
when i go to the wifi setting and put the wep key in further details are as follows
netowrk to access: only access point
Network name: home
connects to: The internet
authentication : shared
data encryption: wep
network key : xxxxxxxx
key index:1
use IEEE 802.1 option is checked.
EAP type is smart car or certificate
here when i click on properties tab it says
"Cannot log on to the wireless network.this network requires a personal certificate to positevely identify you"
I have also tried aquiring the certificate but it doesnt retrieve it
i put the log in,password and server as my netgear's IP address.
on the wifi advanced settings in HTC it shows the MAC address but doesnt show the IP address .
please please help pme out here.i have spent hours sorting this out but not successfull yet.hope anyone experienced can help me here

i bought a new router but i am not able to connect through it
i have a PPPoE connection ISP has provided me with the user name & password i have entered the same in the router settings page but cant connect, get the same error on the mobile as well.
i have attached images of the error as well as how i connect to my internet incase u need to see.
i can connect without the router to internet with the same username and password but when i connect through router i get error Your PPPoE or PPTP authentification failed

i get my isp provides me with connection from a router which connects through a switch and the to me now i have bought router so that i can access internet on my mobile through wifi how do i configure my router to do that ?

basically you dont know how to setup a home network,
did the router came with the provider or did u use a third-party router?
if so you need to setup your 3rd party router,
call the provider so they can provide the protocol encapsulation in which you will need to setup your router
