That's a stupid question.... "best" is too subjective, each person has their own opinion on what's "best".

Not talking about older feed backs only, I was trying to start a thread to benefit all of us with real and detailed technical data comparison in one place for ease and not to jump all over forms which can leads to confusion.

I’m sure my inquiry is a lot smarter than your trashy brain...beside this question was addressed to experts and beta testers not for dump aXX noooobs, since I was aiming as what of all and an up-to-date technical comparison between the best ROMs so far released...to make your search more convenient and time worthy..
cheers,
Maybe something like this in a timetable or Excel sheet:
ROM version

PAGE POOL
ROM date
Based on

screen sensitivity
3G

Interesting answer..... I'm suprised you're small minded enough to think the amount of posts someone has made has any relevance to their knowledge in a particular area. The word "best" is frowned upon within many technical forums. The 'doom9' forums for example, which are wildly known to be the most vast, in-depth, and technical of the dvd forums around, has the word "best" banned. It's banned because it's useless. It's like saying what's the best film? what's the best car? what's the best music? We all have a different answer, far too subjective.
Next time, maybe you can get whoever looks after you to proof read you messages before you post.
Maybe it could be usefull to list all the features of the various rom with all the know bugs.
That would be usefull to me to choose my next ROM.
Bye
Plz avoid that kind of title. It seems taht in this post there is published the best Rom and the best Radio
Try something like "suggestions on..." or "whis is the..." (and this forum is aready full of that ****)

Y dont u start flashing all the ROMS 1 per day and report your results here, Mr Smart Brain? Do it yourself and u do it for three (old wise said)
Hi everybody
Here am I again with a new advice for all of you how are addicted to flashing their phones with latest roms, I discovered a way to flash the phone a little bit faster :
instead of going to bootloader by pressing downvolume and power while the phone is off, you have to use the utility enterbootloader.exe (which you must copy to your SD and then run) => the phone will restart all alone in bootloader mode BUT will flash faster than the other way !!!!!!!!
DON'T ASK ME WHY !!!! I've tested it several times and I don't have any explanation. maybe the cookers may help us understand ?
Bye
Sure..
You only have 12 post here, and we should believe you?
I wouldn't trust it.
And when i flash my rom i have plenty of time.

I dindn't expect better than this answer. No problem my friend. I didn't ask for any donation or charity. Just wanted to share what I discovered (I didn't invent it).
Anyway, try the two methods (as you have plenty of time) and see by yourself.
PS : The file attached can also be found along with 99% of available cooked roms ...
Bye
PS n°2 : Is there a way to judge people by the number of posts they read instead of the number of posts they wrote ?

I waited so long to have something interesting and valuable to post and share with the community. If it turns to this, it's better to shut up and continue reading ... (how sad, I was even thinking about going into the cooking adventure ... )
googy_anas, at least your increasing your post count, you maybe taken seriously yet As for me I have now increased my post to 18, so maybe only a few of you may take my comments seriously, but that’s ok because I will make useless comments until my post count is high enough to be taken seriously!
1 useful post is better than 200 useless posts.....
Quality, not Quantity
Thanks for your input googy, I will try it out next time I flash a new rom. Please don’t let this stop you from sticking around the forums, reading and posting.
Edit: And Cooking!

anyway my first step in cooking is about to be done : I've downloaded WM6.5.3 23541 for osKitchen and will begin with simple and clean builds. My only problem is I don't know where to find the complementary packages manila, htc, tools .... (or may be I have to extract them from another rom) ?

Yes, perhaps I should have clarified my statement.
@Googy,
MOST here would not judge you on your post count and you should not be afraid to share anything that helps the community.
There are many senior members here only because they post crap like "flashing now", "thanks for the ROM" , "blah, blah, blah" that doesn't offer anything.
Do not be offended and do not be discouraged.

BeeGee Tokyo hosts many packages on his server.
Here I am again, I've managed to build my first clean rom based on 23541 by using osKitchen and successfully flashed the two versions I built (French and WWE). It's soooooooooo smooth and faaaaaast !!!! wow I'm impressed !
I also extracted the packages of the official 2.53 rom but when I include them in my build, the phone is blocked after the first initialization (after the htc logo animation). can't understand why .... can anyone help ?

You should post your build log in the forum where you downloaded your kitchen from. Whoever supports that kitchen would be able to view it for any conflicting packages.
Otherwise it is best to load one package at a time until you find the culprit.
That is why cooking a good ROM is hard, because of the trial and error and repeated flashes and testing, very time consuming.
Some things to consider;
Page Pool settings (20mb seems to work well)
Mort Script (for AutoInstall functionality)
Themes (Max Manila is the best)
Other general tweaks to optimize the performance.

thank you for your support
actually, i'm rebuilding the rom without manila but keeping all the standard htc apps. i'll give some feedback in a few minutes ....
So actually, my test rom starts with manila enabled but it's full of bugs
the os itself is running as it should .... i think there's something with the packages i extracted from the stock rom !
I give up !!!!!!!!
cooking needs good skills and too much available time (I don't have one of the two )
next time i'll stop to say thanks to any cooker i use his rom, now that i know it's not as simple as it seems !!!!
bye
Thank you for sharing and good luck with the cooking.
I don't believe post counts have much to do with anything and it's always nice to learn something new. I tend to be skeptical of everything until i have researched it to death, but i'd rather be skeptical of something than not know about it in the first place
ROM geared towards EYE CANDY, & Performance ?
I know I may be upsetting some people with this thread and I wish to not do so, so I appologize if I am ahead of time... but I have been doing alot of searching and reading and with all of these cooked roms now, I cannot decide which one to use or which ones to try first...so I was thinking -I would like to know which ones are more geared toward Eye Candy? And which ones are more geared towards performance / stability? Is there one geared towards both? (I would like the most possibly eye candy...at least just to try it out )...
Any recommendations or anything of the such ?
Again, I am sorry if this is a bad thread to start... really REALLY do not want to upset anyone, I appreciate all the work done here -really, and I am currently studying computer science programming so I really do understand and respect the work done here and one day would love to be able to contribute, but with this being my first time back to win mo in a longgg time, I need a little advice to get back into the recent times of winMo.... please help ?
For eye candy, try EnergyROM by NRGZ28.
For Stability, I usually goto Dutty's releases.
For Speed, any clean 2.10 based rom is very quick... I prefer Tom_Condons.
Thank you...
I am sure there are others out there though so if anyone else would like to recommend some that fit my request - please by all means do so...
for both eye candy and performance, the L26 Leo Power is the one.
thank you very much! I will surely be working with all of these recomendations once I receive my HD2 ! =)
Any other recommendations are welcomed as well as greatly appreciated..
I don't think any of the chef's here try to make a slow ugly ROM!
I'm currently trying waterbears ROM, some seriously intersting icons on this one!
I have tried about 10 to 15 different ROMS in the last months and I`ve decided to stick with "Lost In Asia". It hasn`t had any compatibility problems with any CABs and it`s fast and reliable.
Study always Study
its been long time(almost a year) i didnt post here just watch and learn from peoples query request and suggestion. i am in a same position like you... My HD2 is coming within a week may be i should let you know what i planned, i check and filter by highest people view in HD2 ROM Development and found some names i can mention now which ofcourse i must try out, so if you want you can give shot. but dont forget to study the sticky post and before going to jump please ready those post might give you better idea first. they are very usefull..
1. Artemis
2. NRGZ28
3. MIRI (Not sure where to find them but i read all the post )
4. Laurentius26
5. Dutty (Not sure where to find them but i read all the post )
6. Tom_Condon
and many more...
EnergyRom = Fast and Eye Candy
Topix = Fast and Stable and Reliable (You can always install various mods / themes according to your flavour)
But agree with the previous comment... there is no one out there who is aiming for ugly and slow roms! 1Ghz you cant do much to slow it down
My preference would be to get a clean fast and simple rom and ad mods of my choice,!
Cheers,
Faisal.
Agreed!!!
i am fully agreed with faisalee. dont want to hurt you but as i can call myself noob and in my condition i would go for highest rate ROMs then i might go for extra light ROMs and install wht i want... since they are available in CABS..
EneryROm with Cookies and max manila is realy eye candy though...

I was wondering...
I was wondering, after looking at all the .cab files/tweaks and themes available, what does a ROM's 'EYE CANDY' do that one of those files could not do? Or, what is better in a ROM's eye candy, or what kind of eye candy can a ROM actually do ?
Just a little confused -so much information!
Thanks in advance... and sorry if this is a lame question...
Smaberg's Touch Extreme ROMS are the fastest and most stable to me.
He uses his own custom drivers so things run real smooth
Its all about EnergyRom
All Of expert here so much from and versions
the most lates the most stable the most stable internet and game
which the rom file is here...
or jus a original rom more stable??
i need the best and stable rom file from here on my phone any 1 can giv download link here and info...

There are a lot of stable, fast ROMs, a big part of it comes down to personal preference on what you want/need from the ROM , also depends on your phone model, you have a LEO_512 or a TMOUS LEO1024 ....
You really should just search through the ROM section find one that you like and ask questions about that ROM ..
Personally I like the Energy Series, but as I said that is a personal choice ...
this is my original rom versions
HTC_HD2_RUU_Leo_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.66.707.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship
is it hav and more high versions and stable fast speed?? can u help me..??

Do your own research, its all personal choice.
Its like buying a car, you don't ask which is the best car and just go buy it, you test drive several.

As stated above, the only real solution to your query is to search yourself. Everyone has different opinions, so obviously what I consider best for me, you may disagree and so forth. Threads like this are generally frowned upon in XDA as they create endless long discussions with no real end result due to, as I mentioned before, everyone having a different opinion with their own personal tastes
For this reason I am closing this thread
As there are so many different (and not so different) ROMs available for our Xperia Z (C6603), it becomes somehow difficult to find the best (in terms of smoothness and features) ROM for daily use. I know there are already plenty of threads comparing general features of different major ROMs. However, these might appear to be very general and totally not device related, especially for new comers. That is way I would like to start and maintain this thread.
In this thread I would like you to post you current rom and rate it on a scale from 1 (for very poor) to 10 (for f*cking hilarious). I would appreciate if you'd post your ratings each time you flash a new rom.
Please indicate following infos:
ROM NAME
(eventually) ROM base (e.g. AOSP, CM, etc)
ROM Version (e.g. 28062014 Nightly, 3.1, etc.)
Android Version
And your actual ratings for:
Features (that are implemented in other devices but not yet in ours)
Current available features
Overall smotheness
Overall satisfaction
How likely are going to advice your friends to install this rom (from 1 - not likely to 10 - very likely)
If you have already submitted your ratings on one of the previous posts in this thread, just create a new post and indicate your previous post number. Thus, I can adjust the rating in an appropriate way (Basically, your previous rom will receive bonus points if it was rated better than your new rom and I will deduct some points for the rom being rated worse than the new one).
Further information on rating calculation will come as soon as your first ratings get processed.
Any feedback and critics are welcome and very anticipated!!!
Hopefully will soon get enough responses to evaluate all available roms and help us to quickly find a 'new' for the daily use.:good::good::good:
