I was browsing around to unlock my old Sagem myV-55.
Then i came accross a website wich sells remake/fake phones.
Like the Japanese *Phone.
http://www.mobile2mobile.net/phones/dualsim-tv.htm
Scroll down and you'll see the fake herald.. I laughed at it.
That site has plenty of look-a-like phones.
I meant FAKES.
Nice finding.

...and more and more...
I don't know about this one. HTC Should be able to get a new PocketPC Phone Edition device for 2005. However, I wonder if we'd ever be able to get our hands on this device...
Quand band is a must for NA.
VGA should have been included with te Himalaya.
Anyway, let's hope that HTC will get this device on the market in time, at a reasonnable price.
Talking about the price I think it could be embarrassing to see the XDA IV on the market only few month after you bought version III...! :?
Rumors said that XDA IV should have UMTS capabilities, and this skill could be interesting in Italy. At present we have one phone company offering this kind of service, but in a short time they should become three.
I think the XDA 4 is for "3" and the XDA 2 is not! I dont realy want a "3" phone, so I look at them as two different products.

Yeah, but it also says it's going to be quad band GSM, which is pretty relevant these days for international travellers.
It is real
MDA4 is real, because announced MDA3 is not made by HTC (as MDA1 and MDA2). T-Mobile ordered this piece of hardware somewhere in China and labelled it as MDA3, but it has nothing in common with maker of MDA1 and MDA2. T-Mobile did it just because he needed a response to Motorola MPx (WindowsMobile Communicator with the keyboard and WiFi). It't just a temporary solution - the real successor of MDA2 will be the MDA4 made by HTC again.
That makes more sence!
would be too much to ask them to include a built-in IR beamer for virtual keyboard ??
The idea of having many built-ins looks apealing, but I personally prefer many interfaces (SDIO, CF, ... etc) for accessories that should allow you to get the latest models without the need to get a new device.
I'm confident as well that the day will come when we can replace the CPU and add RAM as we do with the current PCs

is it the official info :?:
Alright, so this might be a big long shot, but does anybody have an M8 first of all that they could rip and try to port? It runs on WinMo, but has been cloned to be nearly identical to the iPhone. The only thing that would be really difficult is the resolution on the M8 being scaled down to the Diamond. Any ideas?

Should just be an overlay app similar to Manilla. Once the phone is actually released (still vaporware in my opinion) we can break it down from there.
Not to kill your hopes, but the M8 runs CE instead of WinMo. Windows Mobile is a smaller subset of CE. Some apps should run on both platforms, but I don't think that you can take that UI. I'm also pretty sure that the M8 has a capacitive touch screen instead of resistive.
Hopefully it can still be done!

According to a forum on Meizu official website, M8 should be released before the Chinese new year in mainland China. I've seen on-line shop accepting pre-order.

I just saw a Meizu store today and got a peek at the M8. It was pretty cool I have to admit and darn cheap. the 8GB version is 2480 RMB which is about US$364. Thye didn't speak much english at the shop but they did say it runs on WinCE.
They showed me the dual touch feature and I was pretty surprised. I hadn't heard of this device before today honestly. The interface looked really smooth and intuitive. I think I want one. It's priced a few hundred less than the best price I can get on a diamond (I already have a diamond)
their website is www.meizu.com but it is only in Chinese. When I can get my GF or someone to help me read it I'll try to come back here and give it.

yeah, I found the english website. the girl at the shop said the site was only in Chinese so I parroted that. I'm going back to the shop tomorrow to test drive the phone
ok, I went to the shop today and the device is really nice. the interface seems very responsive and it supports English and Chinese natively. It has no 3G, no GPS, and no 16GB are available right now. Seems like a great phone but since I have a Diamond and the only thing I don't like about it is the screen size I'm torn between the M8 and the O2 Flame. I do a lot of spreadsheets and Word docs on my phone so the larger screen even at the same resolution as my diamond seems like the way to go plus it has 2GB built in and I've seen updates to support larger SD cards and run WM6.1. I think I'll buy an M8 when it has GPS and or at least a 3G that will work here in China.
hi guys , i have a problem with a device , so when i connectet with my PC he shows me "HTC T6355" , now i have a second HTC Topaz , and this shows me T6362 , the second device works fine , but the 6355 doesn't works very well , its a Chines phone , i have buy this for less money =D

is it possible that the mobile phone is a "fake" ?
sorry for my bad english , i hope you understand me

Probably booth phones are ...fake's . Because fabric number is T5353 /aka TOPAZ, vulgo "diamond 2"/
Edit:I'am sorry ,but definitely are booth chinese "products" - second version Topaz /Dopod - wcdma ver./ is assigned T5388 - see : http://www.dopod.com/product/productdetail/product.php?id=T5388 and AT&T variety is HTC PURE {for US market only}
xD the 6362 ist 100% not a fake =D
but the second maybe.. it have a different package and many things ...
T5353 is the only one which is officially released in Europe, all others are fakes/chinese ****.

Those fakes look pretty good. Sorry for the people who buy them.
If you've not seen a Topaz before (held in your hand) you won't notice the difference.
Often these copies are very similar to originals, just unbranded or White Label (same factory and fab process, just sold direct instead of through HTC, typically only to home market)
To say they're "chinese ****" is a little harsh: My parents bought me a Sega GameGear when on holiday on Lanzarote when I was about 10, with a "56 game" cartridge. Whole thing was about £150. Got it back to the hotel, and these "56 games" were actually 13 games renamed! Lion King would be also Jungle Story, Jungle King, King of the Jungle, Book of Jungle, Sonic was Spin Tale, Robotnik Battle, etc etc. In the end, though, I had a GameGear with 13 games which would have cost around £300 here at the time. Was *still* a bargain.
EDIT: Having read the description more, I can see where it falls short... 320*480 screen, smaller memory capacity... Cheaper components, essentially, but a similar phone. Still the same Qualcomm cpu

maybe because it's derivative products from HTC Diamond 2
Where did you buy that???
I need one for my excel editing..
Anyone has a better way ?
thanks
There is an official HTC one available soon, fresh news about it came a few days back (try places like devicewire/clove/expansys). Its not the really nice (normal) looking stylus that HTC put in a patent for, but it is officially endorsed.
EDIT: Apparently Devicewire has it listed with a release date of Feb 15th
Hi. I bought a pack of two from eBay for £13ish. They are made by DAGi and the seller is "base327111" (which I think are DAGi themselves). The stylus seems to look identical to the HTC version. With my limited use of the HD2 so far it seems to work OK.
I also bought the DAGi one. It can be used, but honestly, not so handy. I prefer using my finger, more accurate.
Hello all!
Just wondering if anyone has stumbled across a CAD model or prints for the Nexus 7? Looking for something that makes Solidworks or AutoCAD inventor happy.
I've started to model it, but I assume that there's already something like this floating around out there.
Thanks!
Have you seen anything more on this topic?
Would also like to have 3d model.
When searching the only thing i have seen are sites that sell model for $50+ ....
Ok so here is a lil mockup. For probably 95 percent of accessories its good enough. I just took a pair of calipers to mine and here we have it.
