I am using Bepe's 0.66 ROM on my O2 Orbit 2 in the UK.
Not sure if it is anything to do with the ROM, but in the last week I have had a number of calls where the incoming call quality is terrible. The caller sounds like a Dalek and I can barely make out what they are saying. My voice sounds OK to them.
Has anyone had this problem? I did not experience the problem before upgrading to the custom ROM, however I only used the device for a week before upgrading, so can't be sure the ROM is the cause.

Try different Radio Roms!
First try the lastest 1.27 Radio ... then the lastest 1.58 Radio ... 1.64 and 1.65!
On of those work without Problem! Its the same reason why Blue Tooth make troubles or not!

Thought I'd start a thread where people can post there issues/bugs on ROM upgrade 1.35 and it will also help people to make an informed decision before upgrading to this ROM.
I have now used this ROM on my SPV M3100 for over several weeks and the only issue I have is when using my 3 network USIM the voicemail speed dial 1 does not work even after going through the settings or registry the bizzare thing is I don't get this issue with other network SIM i.e. O2, Orange or T-Mobile.
P.S. before someone says I may have a faulty 3 USIM, I did not have this issue prior to this upgrade.

The HTC ROM 1.35 is different from the cingular ROM 2.06, it's supposedly the most stable of the ROM upgrades or so they say!
I haven't any issue, Radio & ROM 1.35 ... i've read someone has problems with messaging service...
Using a Task Manager ONE TIME only i've seen the Messaging Service stopped, just a reboot.
now works well, bt, wifi & radio
and what happend, when you try to change the very first contact on sim? I had similar problem, but on old nokia phone, not windows nor symbian.

i have some problems with this Radio 1.35.00.11. The thread is about that, isn´t it?
First of all my phone beeps loud out of the speaker at the back(the loud one for "free speaking") if the Person iam calling is not available (busy signal). Even if the Phone is turned to loudness 0! Iam not sure that the Radio Rom is responsible for that, because i reseted my vario2 completely. But iam sure that problem i never had before(with the german origninal Radio ROm).

Because of that i wanted to flash the 1.27. Radio ROM to the Vario2. I took this one: ftp://xda:[email protected]_TMD-TMA_Radiopatch_1.27.00.00_107_GER.exe
The flashing procedure got complete without any error, but on the Vario iss still the 1.35.00.11! Isn´t it possible to flash to a older Rom Version?

Hi im new so if break any rules sorry. I have SPV M3100 with blackdiamond on it, unlocked, but when i want make a call phone starting connecting and after 2 sec break connection. No this doesn't mean you have to throw your phone out. You just have to be a little more patient.
The people who use this forum aren't all from the same timezone and don't all have the ability to read this from work so it may take a couple of days to get a response.
I haven't done what you have some unable to help. Just don't get despondant that have you haven't had a response yet.
I've heard mixed reports of the 1.41 radio - some good and some bad. I tried 1.41 but eventually went back to the 1.38 radio because it is the most stable in many of the countries I work in. I didn't use the 1.41 radio in Poland but did have problems with it in Czech republic which is why I downgraded.
There are reports of dropped calls for this radio in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303378 so it may be a good idea for you to read through that.
Personally, I'd drop down to radio 1.38.00.10 - get it here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_ExtractedRadioRoms,
BUT before you change the radio, make sure you have Hard-SPL 2.10 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722 because this will help you recover your phone if something goes wrong.
It's still the same my phone can't make a call always drop after few seconds, i change ratio on 1.38.00.10 and 1.38.00.01 latest UK because I'm in Scotland right now and still is the same, meaby there is a chane to clean everything and upload on my spv again, if yes please for a tip how to do thant, or any difrend idea? Please help me because i start losing my mind and i have latest hard SPL by the way.And alsow i have reception on my phone everything sims ok but i can't make a call.

Hi der_tiger,,, I've been playing about with black Dymond and various Radios in Scotland with varing results.. IMHO generally all the 1.4# radio Roms had issues with missing calls dropping radio signals etc.. I've reverted back to 1.38.00.10 as it seams the most stable for us in jock-land.
Once you've reflashed your rom I would recommend you reflash black Dymond, I always get a more stable system by reflashing the System ROM "AFTER" i change the Radio rom.....not sure why.
Oh one other thing I noticed, this might just be an Orange thing, but If I manualy select the network ie in my case Orange rather than the phone Auto selecting networks I don't get any issues with signal drop-outs !!!! go figure !!

I cant recive any call. Whenever i dial my number, my phone behaves as turned off and I hear the operator saying please try calling later. But oding outgoing calls works fine
Though my phone is on and in working condition. I can make calls and can send/recive sms. Wifi/bluetooth/IR no problems. Just the most wiered problem is about incomking calls. no one can contact me but i can contact them.
Also when i resume my device from suspend and quickly send an sms. It says please wait 15 minutes for the device to be ready. So i wait till i get older enough to use my phone
Any fix or any diagnostic? Looks like I am the only one with this problem
The official O2_UK_1.4_wm2k3 upgrade works fine in every aspect.
I need to enjoy the full functionality with the wm5/6 apps. I need WM upgrade especially for softmaker office..

well, I have used sun dream's v20758, then swampy's BA_CE_OS_5.2.20275_(Build_20275.1.3.3)_Basic (both didnt worked)
then WM5 from buzzdev forums(the only available WM5 download for BA at buzzdev)

In WM5, sometimes the phone straight away says sim card not found. but other way it works on any other phone. In Wm6 every thing runs gud, but no incoming calls.
One more thing. I put my phone near my Sound System. When i dial my phone number, the same periodic resonant sound appeared at the speakers of sound system (like incoming call or SMS) but suddenly died down and my network operator said "please retry calling later. Your contact is not available

I have already used v1.15 and 1.12 and still no luck. Every thing else works like charm. I am a student so I barely get money to recharge my phone's balance, mostly dependant on incomming calls. Thats why??

Tested 20755 and pv-DVH clean and green rom. None did some support to my calling thingi...........I am gonna get a new sim card and see if it is the problem with sim card.
IMHO sim card is fine since it is fully read in WM2K3 SE. Then why not in WM5/6/6.1 ?
you have very curious problem, which honestly i haven't encoutered on any BA so far...
it may be a radio problem in your case, you can try 1.13 or 1.13.10 radio they are pretty stable too

still no luck. My network's sim card/network aint compatible with the new windows mobile 5/6/6.1
so no luck, keep on loossing all soft/info with battery har reset thingi on stinky WM2003SE (BTW TMUK upgrade worx like charm. Battery is alive again for 2 dayz backup yay!)

1. Many times my phone out of service but I have good network (service provider) signal
2. some times when i am need to make a call I have a message inform me that there is no signal but I have good
3. when any one call me I receive this ring after 3-6 second and after the caller end the call my pocket still ringer for 3-6 second

Try using sun_dream's latest 6.1 rom (6.5 was removed). That should work just fine (I did not have that issue whatsoever). Good luck!

Hi everyone.
I'm having a small problem with my HTC.
After flashing with various ROM's, updating radio, HARD-spl and searching with google, I don't know what's hapening.
When I receive a call, a SMS simply there's no sound.
I double check everything, and even when I try to play the ringtones I can't ear anything.
Does someone else have this problem?

I have the same probleme....and baterry increase, more, if I turn off the screen I don't have more GSM, I need turn off phone and turn on for Give me GSM

Ive upgraded to every radios available from 1.38 to 1.56 and allot of roms...6.5,6.1 and the original in portuguese...and now mi wifi is gone too and its not hardware problem..i should stick to the original rom,really..the problem is the many bogus rom and radio put here wich damage the phones and the genius that cooked these faulty rom and radio are the last to give a solution...very sad..
This is why I NEVER use cooked ROMs... My Trinity is 5 ys old and still works perfect. My only advice is to set back to original state. If you don't like wm5, use SPB Mobile Shell 3.x.x...
