Help with WMP 10 and Skins
I've downloaded a skin posted on the forum, G.AMP and put it in this folder:
\Program Files\Windows Media Player\G.amp~WMP
When you go into Windows Media Player 10 it does not find the skin.
I have WM 2005 and WMP 10 and an XDA Exec 3G.
Any help much appreciated, Declan.
I'm sure I just put mine in My Documents and it found it.

I have tryed for ages to change the skin in media player but there is no way ive found.
i did notice that there is a *192.bmp file in the windows directory (windows\) that if you open looks just like the default skin. if i rename the default(portrait).skn file in the \Program files\media player\ folder then media player wont start in portrait mode so its definutly pulling the skin from there but all the different ways i put the skin files i have it just wont work, not even if i rename then the default(portrait) will it work.
Has anyone got this to work?
im just trying to keep this post alive!, i still cant manage to get this to work.
Also i found a way to display album art, just copy the picture of the album into the folder of the album and change the name to "Folder.jpg", now whenever a song is played from the folder WMP will show the picture
Hello, i installed a media player on my XDA mini s, but did not like it so i removed it. When i now go inot the file explorer and locate the mp3 files, they cannot be played, as they are not associated with anything and are classed as an unknown format. plese could you help me get the files to associate with windows media player again. thankyou
please somebody reply, i need help
Open file in media player, rather than trying to open in file explorer and letting it find its own default app.
Not sure how to change the default to wmp tho
Anyone get this working successfully on the Apache? I put all the files in the windows folder and then the link in start menu\programs and when I run it, it says that it's missing something or isnt a trusted program and may need to be reinstalled..
I have some .wav files that I can play on my pc's wmp. I copied them to my 6800, and I get an error complaining they are an unknown file type. What's the magic sauce I need, do they need to be conv'd to .mp3?
thx,
Tom
Does anyone know where HTC Audio Manager v2 stores the playlists? Or ideally a link to a current user guide for the Audio Manager application?
The previous versions used to store playlists in the directory /application data/HTC/AudioManager_Eng/playlists. It was possible to copy the file to PC and manually edit (albeit tricky).
The latest version no longer seems to store playlists anywhere obvious - so must be embedded in a database somewhere. I want to be able to copy the playlists to the PC (and ideally amend / import into Windows Media Player).
Can anyone help?
Cheers
