Send text without stylus

hi
after using my o2 exec for a day in normal mode i decided to hard reset and use the corporate 0506 as i am not using an o2 sim.
firstly i noticed the battery monitor changed to a crappy one and now it has completly disappeared.
and now i can not send a text message without getting the stylus out, when i go to switch accounts i just get a little box pop up, and i have to click on the inbox with the stylus to change to text messages.
ok nothing major, but i think i prefered it before with the basic o2 setup?
This will help...

Whats this SMS message mean

Dear Group, i've only had the quickest of looks at my new Wizard cos its a xmas prezzy lol. Anyways, just to check it works i put my SIM from my mobile fone into it and sent myself a SMS message. Sure enough it worked, only a message popped up saying that it was full and i need to delete some messages (or words to that effect)
But from where? I find it a wee bit confusing to tell the truth. On my mobile i can save about 20 texts to the SIM and 200 to the phone memory, can i do the same thing with my Wizard?
The SIM that i put in has texts saved to it, but how would i access them in the Wizard.
And, while i hopefully have your attention, is there anyway to save texts from different contacts into different folders? And even better, is there a way to filter them out automagically?
All help gratefully received

no longer resizes photo for sending

Hi, I usually send quite a few photo's by MMS and email and found the built-in photo resizer excellent. Recently this software has stopped working, it goes through the usual motions but after i have chosen my resolution and quality settings, it goes back to the mms window with a message that the image is too large (for example: 750kb) to send via MMS.
I've tried different combinations with the res and quality but still no luck. I also tried a hard reset, left the phone as new and tried but still got the same error. I tried restoring an old back-up from when this function used to work, but still no joy!?
I've tried sending photo's stored on both internal memory and storage card.
I have also started getting this message: "an unexpected error has occurred in GNAngent.exe." the details of this are:
GNAngent.exe
IOException
at System.IO.File.GetCreationTime()
at b.a()
at
OpenNETCF.IO.FileSystemWatcher.OnCreated()
at WindowSink.WndProc()
at
Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms.MessageWindow._WndProc()
at g.DispatchMessage()
at g.i()
at g.c()
at b.k()
I know this is all very long winded, but I figured the more Info I gave, the more chance i had of someone knowing what's gone wrong!
I have stock Orange UK ROM
Does anyone here have any ideas before I order a new handset from Orange Care?
I don't have an answer but last night I tried to send a pic that was too big...it gave me the options to resize, but never actually resized it and I continued to get the "image too large error". I started to wonder why offer me the option and then not actually do it, but I've never used it before so I couldn't tell you if this is a new bug or an existing bug.
I've had the same problem.
GNAngent.exe is part of GOOGLE NAVIGATOR. That software can add gps signature to everyphoto you take in background. So, try uninstalling it and soft-reset . And check that you are not running that module any more (using a process manager)

how can i make sure i dont exceed my data limit? I'm on vodafone I think if u send a blank message to151 u get a report but o can't send a blank text on a magic!
Can't you check on vodafone.uk?
Use netcounter, its free in the android market.
http://www.jaqpot.net/netcounter/
they're actually a few data counter apps/widgets in the market
I had the same problem, so i looked on there website and thete are big rants on this subject about the stupidly small amount of useage thats suposed to be unlimited. So now i just use it how i want to and if they phone me i will tell them i am using it to there fair usage policy. So far i have gone over twice by 80mb and no phpne call, just dont stream audio/video or download loads of apps and if loads of people go over they will have to change it. Also when my contract is up i will be going to O2.

A New Recommendation for Low Space Warning

I call this a new recommendation because I haven't seen before. It comes from an HTC service representative, and aside from factory resetting the phone and looking at app size/cache sizes (not app data) for various apps via Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All (menu, sort by size), I was still "normal." The largest app on my phone was the FiOS app at 14.6MB. After that, everything was smaller. I had 451MB remaining in my application storage, 5+ GB internal free, 11+ (of 16GB) free on my SD card, and ~90MB available in cache space. In essence he told me that the low space error message was generic in nature and could be indicative of an app running out of "space" instead of my phone running low on space.
The recommendation the HTC support person gave me to try today was clearing my browser cookie data, cache, and history. The reason we went to this step was because I had noticed and mentioned to him that, with only one window open, the browser was using ~50MB resident. This was an observation I made after looking at the Internet app resource usage numbers via the System Panel app. The odd thing is that this memory usage didn't show up in in the Settings menu. Clearing the caches is done from the settings menu of the Internet app (from within the browser app, tap the 'menu' button on your phone and then scroll down to "Privacy Settings"). Now my Internet app uses ~14MB with one window open. After doing this step, and without a restart, my issue with the low space error went away (hooray!). It's a basic recommendation I know but in the searching about this error I have not read it before and actually read the HTC was denying the issue existed. I should note that we talked about the mail app, however there was noting too out of whack as System Panel showed it as using 12MB and it had no cache I could clear.
Another recommendation I received was managing the number of messages in each of my threads in the default messaging app. Essentially the more messages I have the greater the possibility that I run into an issue of a generic message sending failure. I asked a second representative about the thread limiting feature (under settings of the messaging app) and the fact that I had backed up and restored my text messages before, and now they were not being properly managed (i.e. I had 152 messages in a thread when I was telling my phone to keep 130). The second representative was the one who was conducting my customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call. He put me on hold for (at most) two minutes and then came back with an Incredible and told me that the feature is designed to keep the last 100 messages on my phone should a cell provider decide to clear text messages from their server. He also advised me to keep an eye on Dialer Storage, and that if it gets above 15-20 MB I should clear the data. He warned me of the importance of this app as it stores some of my email account info (if I remember correctly) and text message cache, so clearing that app does not come lightly. As I stand right now my Dialer Storage is ~7.14 (with 6.84 in data) when viewed in Settings menu. Though my Messages app says it only has 824kb or data and 2.2MB of total space in the Settings menu, it stands at ~18.5MB in the System Panel app.
I've noticed that after getting one of my threads down to 100 messages (my new limit) it's now staying at that limit at least for the one thread I tried it on. So maybe the thread limiting feature does work. I hope this info helps someone else with this problem and does not have cache issues that show up readily when looking at apps in the Settings menu.
P.S. I also asked the first representative about Push Messages in the messaging app. I was told it has to do with supplemental data that can come along with email accounts that use the POP and IMAP mail types. He also told me that it's possible that some carrier messages can end up there as well.
