Whats this SMS message mean - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Dear Group, i've only had the quickest of looks at my new Wizard cos its a xmas prezzy lol. Anyways, just to check it works i put my SIM from my mobile fone into it and sent myself a SMS message. Sure enough it worked, only a message popped up saying that it was full and i need to delete some messages (or words to that effect)
But from where? I find it a wee bit confusing to tell the truth. On my mobile i can save about 20 texts to the SIM and 200 to the phone memory, can i do the same thing with my Wizard?
The SIM that i put in has texts saved to it, but how would i access them in the Wizard.
And, while i hopefully have your attention, is there anyway to save texts from different contacts into different folders? And even better, is there a way to filter them out automagically?
All help gratefully received

auto sms

I just signed up for a new contract with a new number and everything. my old line is still going to be active for about a month though since everyone has that phone number for me. I was looking for a program that I could put on the phone that would automatically send an SMS with a short message with my new number to anyone who calls or text my old number. anyone know of anything?
i know there is spb mobile phone suite... and i know mortscript would actually make a script that would auto do it anytime the phone isn't answered
if you have magicall its could do something like that also
Would you happen to have the link to the script for the auto reply with spb mobile phone suite?

you could use the freeware tool SMS Notifier. It's not really intend to be used for what you need, but you can change the settings to use is as you requested. but it will only work for incoming calls, not for incoming sms's. different other auto reply programs exists, probably there will be some that can auto reply on sms too.
I have the same kind of issue. I have my old cell forward all calls to my new cell but I have to keep checking for text messages that people send to the wrong phone. Has anyone ever found a good solution for this? I am not planning on getting rid of my old number as it is a personal one and I want it in case I leave the company I am working for.
Thanks
Rick
Ask your service provider if they provide SMS Redirection...Because when i switched from My Vodafone they had this Option so it wasent big for me
Call forwarding???
I have AT&T and want to keep my phone active.

[Q] SMS BUG, how to delete sms from sim?

hi all,
i have a very strange sms bug.
every time i get a new sms text message i get 2 messages in my inbox.
1. i get the actual message that was just send to me.
2. i get another message that is stored on my sim ( if i look in my inbox, there is a SIM icon in front of the message).
This 2nd message also shows up at first in TF3D and is on top of my list in my inbox. very annoying !!
the strange thing is that the 2nd sms is a message that i once sended to a friend of mine, somehow that message is stored somewhere on my SIM and comes in my inbox everytime a get a new message.
i tried a few things, but they didn't help:
- delete it from my inbox and then from removed items; keeps coming back.
- choose "Inmediatly" by "clear removed items" in the message options menu; still the message is coming back.
the message must be stored on the sim, because that message was send from my old phone. and the only thing my old phone and my blackstone have in common is the same simcard.
so i need to know how i can delete this SMS text message from my sim card, at least i think that will solve the problem..
hope someone can tell me how, because its very annoying to delete this message over and over again because it always shows first.
I'm going to bump this thread up because I have the same issue/question.
little kick up..
Same issue here, bumping..
had the same thing when i got my HD a few months ago, after deleting such messages a hundred times they suddenly where gone... :-\
maybe you have another phone around to check if you can delete old messages stored on your sim?
greetz
Same problem here...
same here... any sim guru around?....
i got the same problem since i have my htc, the only thing that realy worked for me is this
efficasoft.com/mobileexpress/index.html (Efficasoft Mobile Express)
its a software, that can save your sms on your pc, and directly delete it from your sim
.. but sometimes my htc gets stuck, and i have to reset it, but yeah its an easy way to save & delete all sms
you could also try ms myphone in combination with pimbackup. afaik myphone only syncs sms on the phone itself, but with pimbackup you can use the delete all feature, maybe that would wipe the sim as well, then you'd sync with myphone again, and since wiping pim information with pimbackup appears as an unplanned deleting, you will get your regular sms back thru syncing with myphone.
another idea would be: try another phone, a cheap or old one, that only uses sim sms and delete all sms there. if that doesn't help, there is something wrong with your network or sim card
I had the same problem as anyone of you. But after deleting it from my inbox at least 4-5 times, it suddenly disappears.

SIM Card is full message

I have a new Touch HD. I have started to regularly get a message on soft reset saying that the sim card is full, and I won't be able to receive any text messages unless I delete some. The Sim card is patently not full as I can still receive text messages, and there are only a handful of text messages actually on the sim.
I tried looking for some setting to send the SMS to phone instead of SIM but couldn't find anything.
A search on the internet seems to indicate that this is not restricted to the touch HD, but also affects other WM 6.1 devices.
Can anyone help me get rid of this message?
Please help. This continues to pop up everytime I soft reset my phone.

I had exactly the same problem on my HD using a Silvercard with two phone numbers inside.
I solved it with a simcard reader and a simcard editor software.
I found 25 blank SMS in the draft folder (very strange).
After deleting all the blank messages the problem disappeared.
regards, Gianni
I thought that the outlook connector on the WM devices could access the messages on the SIM and remove them but I'm apparently wrong. I've got the same message popping up and the same 10 messages keep reappearing in my phones inbox every time I reboot.
Unfortunately I don't have SIM editor device / software... My only thought so-far is to put the SIM in an old nokia and delete the messages with that... now can I find an old nokia and persuade it to take a charge, that it the question...

I desperate need help on recovering the deleted text messages. (Big Big rewardddd)

All of my text messages are very very important and personal to me. I carefully saved every single of them into my email and computer so I won't lost a "single" of them. That is the reason why I went for android platform because there is an application (My Backup Pro) that helps me to back up all the important texts I have with my family and my wife. The disaster struck when i upgraded my android phone to the Nexus One from the G1. The new message app in the nexus one has a "Delete old messages" option on the default which I completely acknowledged nothing about it thus I did not disable that option, so it started to delete all my messages when they reached to the certain amount number of text messages. When i noticed i was in a big shocked stage, I am extremely unhappy. I called Tmobile to see if they can send me a copy of all the contents of the texts that were deleted, they offered no help for that sort of request neither Nexus One Customer Support Department can do anything about it. To my knowledge, when a data is being "deleted", it's not really gone forever instead it is being compressed to a smaller value for saving space purpose or it's lying somewhere inside the flash memory and waiting for the new data to overwrite it. I did spend weeks of research and calling for help but I could not find any help. If any developer or anyone could help me to recover the deleted text messages in my Nexus One, I would be really happy and greatly appreciate your help. I will pay you a big reward, the reward is your choice. Anything you want. Thank you very very much for your help. My phone is not rooted yet and I haven't done the hard reset. So I guess the data is still in the flash memory, we just need to get them out.
So you went for android platform because of My Backup Pro but you didn't make any backup with it before upgrading to the N1?
Anyway.. I don't think deleted SMS messages will be recoverable... sorry
I've never seen anyone even want to accomplish this goal.. or cared about their texts in such way..
I dont know for sure, but I would assume this is something you wont be able to do.. hope you find a way I guess.
unfortunately the messages do not get saved on the sd card but rather on the phone. There does exist software that recovers lost data from Hard drives, sd cards, etc. But the messages were deleted from the phone itself and its hard to say this but you wont be able to recover it! just remember to always backup for next time and make sure you get rid of the "delete all messages" and dont forget that after a large number of text, they seem to all get deleted at once even if you dont have that option selected. it has happened to me after about 4000 texts! and not once but three times already. thats why i always backup and if i ever lose any text it will be under 100's. and also remeber to backup the backups of Backup Pro, LOL! Sd cards die as well, so you never know! so try saving a copy to your pc and by the way if your text are that imprtant then remeber that hard drives from PC'S die as well and you never know either, so backup as well and Remeber lol that you can burn it onto a cd every once in a while!
Good Luck
Yeah I hate to say you are s.o.l. with the old messages. all you can do is look how to prevent this in the future. 1. use Google voice or 2. download the sms2email app
I delete my text messages on a daily basis. I just have no use for them after I read them once. This seems important to you, so I do hope you find a way of recovering them. Good luck!
wow what kind of messages have you received that you want them back so bad?

Naughty ones.
If you have the data backed up with mybackup pro, u can inspect the files in: /sdcard/rerware/MyBackup/
Followed by whatever name u gave em. you can restore it from there too. i think they're stored in sqlite3 but, i tried restoring some data i had backed up to sqlite3 and it couldn't re-create the db cuz it was kinda encrypted.
hope that helps. maybe u could try emailing the dev of MyBackup Pro?

If you backup your msgs into email, why did you not use "SMS Backup" (by Christopher Studer) instead or a similar tool which does real-time backup? It adds your message proactively into gmail under a certain label. That is time saved for you.
Also, as others have pointed out, you can not recover your messages, unless you had an auto-backup of that saved to your SD card. In that case, even if your SD card was wiped or formatted, you could essentially perform a recovery using a disk recovery application.
Thank you very much for all the comments. I guess there is no help. I will try to call Tmobile again to see if they can send me contents of the the text messages.

T-Mobile cannot send you the contents of the text messages, they do not open up and read your texts, nor do they save that burst of data, that would be an insane amount of data to save, as well probably an illegal invasion of privacy.

Yeah, Tmobile is of no help! They cannot look at your text messages as they will be violating your rights! neither would they backup something that they have no use for!
You should really look into Google Voice or something similar in the future. That way all of your text messages are available online at all times - like email. Very, very useful.
I have been saved so many times by that service.
texts are saved i think for a certain amount of time on servers. Look at the Kwame Kilpatrick case in Detroit for example. In order to get them though you would need a search warrant to gain access to those files.
Tmobile say they would but only if the police or law enforcement involve in order for them to pull out the contents, in this case i dont know what to do. The only way get the contents back is to access to my wife iphone but the problem is her iphone also has the auto delete old sms. I did lots of researches on recovering the deleted sms on iphone and there are a few methods but im not certain because im not a tech savvy. So i have her iphone in hand and it has not been synced for months. Is there a possiblility to recover the conversations i had with her that are also had been deleted in her iphone? The reason i want get those conversations back because they involve in our large business deals. Please help.
Hey, I have PM'd you some info to help you retrieve txt msgs of an
iphone...
hope it works...
I also archive every text message. To make sure that I won't lose them, I backup them on WaveSecure (free for Android until March 31!!) and SMS Backup & Restore app. Both of them can be found on the Market. WaveSecure is an anti-theft app that also backups SMS, call logs, and files on their servers. SMS Backup & Restore (and Call Logs Backups & Restore by the same developer) saves an XML file to your SD card. You can easily email the XML to yourself.
If you were using GOOGLE VOICE on your GOOGLE Android phone there would be no issue.

WHOA!!!
hahahhaa, i lost a few also while trying different ROMs, but we don't go admitting to them! hahahaa.
I sincerely hope that the original poster, phuthanvinh, can find a solution for this with T-Mobile.
It seems pretty lame that they would offer to fix this IF law enforcement was involved.

[Q] Getting rid of SIM messages in Messaging

I put Windows Phone 7 on my HD2 last week, and I swear while I was setting it all up there was an option to show or not show SIM messages when looking in Messaging.
However now I am using the phone regularly I can't find it any more! Every time I reboot the phone, the SIM messages are loaded higher up the list than my actual text messages which is really frustrating because it makes it hard to see my current conversations.
Does anyone know where the setting to stop it showing SIM messages is?
Thanks!

Try deleting one of them, and if it is not deleted from the sim, the check box might appear again on next reboot. Else delete what you don't need
Interesting that you can import messages from sim but not save to sim, how many messages are there?
i think what you've seen whilst setting up the phone was the message "import sim contacts now" and not sim sms... there's no setting about that in wp7 afaik
I think there are about 20 or so SIM messages. I deleted one and it went away, but didn't give me any more options to delete any others and the rest of the SIM messages are still there.
Obviously I could just delete them all but I find it annoying there is not the option to just hide them from the messaging view or something.
