Destinator PN and JJ

Hi
I succeeded to install PN on JJ but the two menu screen are HUGE
Ther should be a way (something to do with OZVGA) to make those 2 screen normal
Anyone ?

use Tweaks2k2 to force the Destinator to start in VGA mode (VGA brute force option) this will solve your problem.

Universal and destinator
I have uses tweaks2k2 to brute force vga and certainly it has made destinator very usable. However, fonts on the main screen are quite small and the bar that is meant to be at the bottom is in the middle of the screen. Also the zoom slide is not on the right hand side. Overall it is as if one cannot zoom in as much as you can when it is working perfectly.
Has anyone overcome these problems? Is it the case that with ozVga these could be overcome?

you have to change the file Destinator.inf (located in \DestinatorApps\Destinator\Common\Interface\Visual\All\)
I'll attach the file I'm using. Be aware it's for VGA mode and only in Landscape mode.
Just give it a try.

I tried your inf file. It did put the bar closer to the bottom. However, the font remain small and I cannot find the buttons or scroll bar. Any suggestions?

Well I have a suggestion because I had exactly the same problem:
Actually,without any VGA hack,the only thing you cannot do is access a few options in the main menu,options etc...
SO what I have done is switching to VGA mode ,changing the options I need and then switching back to normal mode where screen is Okay and the main options (adress,poi,contacts) are accesible for current work.

Thanks, I will try this, but the problem tha I remember having in non-VGA mode is that when I turn to the page for inputting addresses and accessing other settings the buttons are huge. Anyway, I will try this and get back to you.

Here's a link to a german patch for destinator.
When you install it fixes the layout problems but also installs a german cab file.
If you then run the updated program it does run in german but you can change the language back to english.

Well I tried this German patch and now I have Huge German buttons
Personally I preferred the english huge buttons.... :lol:

Hi all, I have a theme question

I've done a search of this forum & wiki, and the web, but I can't figure out where to get the themes that you guys have in the screenshots thread.
You all seem to take it as normal but I've no idea how to get started!
BTW, I have OzVGA on my Exec, is that going to be an issue?
If it's possible to convert them, I'd really like my PC's current theme!

P.S. Is there a VGA Windows Media Player theme that gets rid of the nasty black bar at the base of the screen?

I am using Wisbar Advance as are quite a few others. The themes you need a are all over the internet, just google "wisbar theme" and you'll see what I mean.
For true VGA you will generally need to use QVGA themes, sounds daft but trust me.......
Here I'm using a vista theme for WA2 and WMP with the Expea2 extended theme for SPB Pocket Plus off the SBSH forum.
By the way, what XP theme are you using??

There is a problem with the WMP skin not keeping it's selection so the patched files are attached here.
Remember if you are using a "normal" display you need the VGA themes, if you are using TrueVGA you will need the qVGA with maybe the WMP VGA skins etc... Confusing but I didn't make the rules.

It's called Allion2 (it's on the dialog box in the screenshot!) There are a few different colour versions, "System" is the nice blue one.

HTC home display cut short

I am running the original T-Mobile Windows mobile 5.0 rom and have installed the htc home application so the weather function works on my MBW-150 watch. But the display is cropped on the top and bottom,I have tried different vertions but still no luck. Any help or pointers would be great

Have you tried removing Today plugins one at a time to
see which is crowding the display?

no even if there is only the htc plugin on the today screen its the same,If too many items are displayed a scroll bar is shown.

What DPI setting are you using?

I am running the vga version, and the dpi is at what ever the standard WM 5 is (unless I am missing somthing and I can alter the DPI on WM5 ?

just got a XT7501 and facing the same problem. does anyone know the solution?

That version of the HTC home, which was an earlier version hacked to work on the Athena, only displays correctly at 96dpi.
If you want that to display properly, you need to install RealVGA, which can be found very quickly by searching these here forums, or try the new one in the AP4 addons cab.

Well, I'm somewhat confortable with the standart resolution which brings me large buttons to touch on the go. Since I had HTCHome on my TyTNII, I was supposing they will work with standart resolution also. Guess I'm totally wrong and will need to read more about VGA, RealVGA, etc.

I will suggesto to go in the athena wm6 section, AP4 thread, download AP4 addons.rar, extract HTC HOME all DPI and test it!

As Sergiopi suggests that version of the HTC home will work in all DPI's, but you will not be able to use the HTC home Customizer application to change the icons, fonts, etc
There is also another HTC_HOME_VGA.cab that works in all DPI's and also allows you to use the customizer app.

But there are no native VGA skins... In each case it's resized QVGA skin, so the quality is very poor ;(

Can anyone post their VGA themes here? I can't understand their language so I can't register

I'll try and dig up my hacked version of the iPhone VGA theme that was from the clownfish one on ppc-theme but without the fish background and put it up later on tonight.

Ok here's the files I used to get it working. I did some editing of the original clownfish files to remove their original background but still able to keep the icons and menu bar. Works like a charm for me. qa_layout and the games.reg enable the 9 button support.

Is this a native VGA or a resized QVGA ?
Can you post some screen shots ?

I believe it's native vga. Like I said I just simply extracted the clownfish cabs and used the .dat files I needed and modified them accordingly to remove the fish background so I could just use the default colour theme backgrounds that come with it.
Basically it's the bottom menu bar, and the icon pack for the program menu. The rest is all default SPB stuff, but it works nice for me.

...hm, ok...do you really find these, which are mentioned for VGA ?
I have downloaded some and they looks excellent on my MDA Pro (which is 640x480).
BTW: At page 12 you find the Diamond theme in VGA.

this is an issue qvga reduced to vga.
So the graphics are poor because all the images were magnified losing definition.

It's not really a VGA theme but a blown up QVGA. But I made a VGA version of the diamond touch clock which is used in the "layout_C_3_contacts_vga" theme.

Screen Rotation for WM 6.5

Hi guys,
Sorry for the new topic but I'm having trouble finding an app to rotate the screen to landscape for wm 6.5 - I've tried gsens and it doesn't work. Can someone point me to the right direction?

The zip file seems to be empty :S. Thanks for the reply though however i would prefer auto rotation - I'm not sure why this isnt auto supported with the rom ....
Edit - Gyrator 2 - That's so far provided the best results!

Gyrator2 is amazing lol. it flips the phone so fast. its way faster then it was before in apps that it would flip in. and when the phone is in landscape the keyboard still knows and changes its type. thanks for the link
