Windows Mobile 5.0 Themes???

I haven't found any info on this matter...
I have tons of WM 2003SE tsk themes, but... they don't work with WM 5.0 in my Universal...
Do you know where can I find compatible themes? I tried wisbar advance desktop, but it is still in beta... I'm looking for simple tsk themes that work in WM 5.0
Any help would be appreciated.

Someone posted this a while back, I beleive you need the Pocket PC SE VGA to work with the Universal. I have not tried it yet, so do post back if they do work.

It doesn't work. The lower two softkeys don't change their colour, and the wallpaper appears like grey, even if it has... every colour of the rainbow.
I'm really surprised that M$ hasn't announced a theme maker for WM 5.0... And more surprised that there are only 1-2 themes available for WM 5.0 devices...

guys thanks for your comments. Now, all icons I have , are RESCO TODAY PLUG-IN. it's pretty cool. and it doesn't slow the system like SPB POCKET PLUS one. The icon in the corner next to the battery is POCKET INFORMANT icon.
and regarding the software I am using, its something like McDEV Theme creator. I can't remember the axact name, coz i'm @ work, sneakely writing from my Exec ;-))

At last I made my own themes based on the ones provided here! Thanx again my friend, it works great.

i'm glad you made it. the only problem I find difficult to solve is the dimentions of the picture. no matter how I tried, the picture gets cut in landscape or in portrait modes. it's obviously not a big deal in an abstract pictures, but in something more precise, that is a great pain in the ass...

Need Green Windows Theme from Cingular 8125

Hi, can anyone using a Cingular 8125 please post the nice windows green theme? THanks

Here's the only theme that's different on the 8125. And as far as theme's go, all it is is a .gif file for the background on the today screen.

the themes work fine on wm5 but you will need to use your own images as today background so landscape looks ok. be sure to have your background images 320px/320px

Windows Green Theme
That link does not work. It only takes you to the windows mobile US site, which does not allow logins from abroad.
Does anyone have the genuine Windows WM5 PocketPC Green Theme? Not a 'homebrew' version, I've seen enough of those. I'd really like to get the actual Microsoft version as a .tsk file from anyone who's managed to pull it off of their PPC.

(VGA + QVGA) The Black n The Light Theme - HQ Advance Theme + Standard Today

Hi frens I juz found out another cool theme released by project.ppc-theme.com
Its a full version..yes I'm so happy =D

Here is the screenshot of the theme
Installation and Usage:
- Download the files given below.
- Extract the file which you have downloaded from project.ppc-theme.com to your PC Desktop.
- Connect your PPC with PC via ActiveSync.
- Transfer the choosen .tsk theme to your Windows folder on your PPC.
- Transfer the .cab files to your PPC.
- Install the .cab file to device memory. Remember to do it at your own risk.
- After doing the installation, soft reset your PPC for maximize use.
- Change your today theme to one of the .tsk themes you have downloaded.
- Run the Wisbar Advance Desktop application, click and hold on an open area and choose theme manager (note that "Author Mode" must be active).
- Enter Desktop Theme, at the potrait tab choose "the black and the light" and at the landscape tab choose "the black and the light landscape". After that click ok.
- Now your today screen will look similar to the pictures above and you're done.
- Remember to make it in "full screen" mode.
- Some shortcuts that exist will most likely induce a "cannot find file" error when you click them.
This is normal, just click and hold on the icon and edit them to correct path through properties.
- This theme run fast because it doesn't need Wisbar Advance in using it.
- Most words in the theme have shortcuts when click on it.
- Set your own today plugin at the standard desktop, by clicking and holding on an open area and choose "new" and then choose "Today Plugin."
- You can put your photo at the box on the standard desktop, with the size of 300x200.
Now, we have made it is easy to set your own pics.
After creating picture with 300x200 size in .png extension, name it with "my photo.png". Put it in the following directory
Main memory: \Program Files\Lakeridge\Wisbar Advance Desktop\themes\the black and the light by ppc-theme.com\photos\
Just overwrite it and you are done, for instance look at the screenshots above.
- Important note for Advance Desktop, before you change the desktop wallpaper,
you have to either exit the previous section by clicking the section button again or simply go to misc section first (the default desktop.)
- Enjoy using The Black and The Light Theme.

I dunt know..maybe they want to give something precious to VGA user..since QVGA user already has a lot of benefits I mean QVGA can use Ftouchflo, cube, pocketcm, etc bout themes but VGA can not

Yes please someone teach us I also want to know the way because most of my frens using QVGA and I want to help giving this theme to them

this is not working on my tytn it shows up and everything just way to big on my screen i can see maybe a quarter of the screen. is there a way to fix this

the theme looks ultra cool but too bad i cant use it coz it supports only VGA devices, somebody pls convert it to be used on QVGA devices as i believe a lot of users on this forum use QVGA pdas.

maybe it consume time in converting it to QVGA..well just hope and wait then
I like this theme because if we want to change the wallpaper we just click on the button haha

+1 to make a qvga theme too bad it's only vga for now... it looks amazing

Both thing can be done easily as easy as ABC hehe that's why I love their themes

i trying to convert this theme to qvga
you can tell me about dock that i found in Themes\Dasktop\the black and the light\advanced desktop
it have 5 docks what about that docks ,one dock is apps and game but i don't know what is others docks sorry for my bad english i'm Thai.

But there are no native VGA skins... In each case it's resized QVGA skin, so the quality is very poor ;(

Can anyone post their VGA themes here? I can't understand their language so I can't register

I'll try and dig up my hacked version of the iPhone VGA theme that was from the clownfish one on ppc-theme but without the fish background and put it up later on tonight.

Ok here's the files I used to get it working. I did some editing of the original clownfish files to remove their original background but still able to keep the icons and menu bar. Works like a charm for me. qa_layout and the games.reg enable the 9 button support.

Is this a native VGA or a resized QVGA ?
Can you post some screen shots ?

I believe it's native vga. Like I said I just simply extracted the clownfish cabs and used the .dat files I needed and modified them accordingly to remove the fish background so I could just use the default colour theme backgrounds that come with it.
Basically it's the bottom menu bar, and the icon pack for the program menu. The rest is all default SPB stuff, but it works nice for me.
You can see some pics of basically what it looks like at the link below. Honestly I'm too lazy to screenshots and upload them, sorry, heh.

I have downloaded some and they looks excellent on my MDA Pro (which is 640x480).
BTW: At page 12 you find the Diamond theme in VGA.

this is an issue qvga reduced to vga.
So the graphics are poor because all the images were magnified losing definition.

It's not really a VGA theme but a blown up QVGA. But I made a VGA version of the diamond touch clock which is used in the "layout_C_3_contacts_vga" theme.

SPB Alienware Shell Theme

I came across this theme at a french site that has some amazing SPB themes. I downloaded the Alienware theme created by Hanakin. I have tried to change the clock on this theme to the Diamond Glass clock, but have been unsuccessful. Can anyone help me out here? I have supplied the link to the site, the theme itself and the clock I wish to have installed.

Just had a look at that site. Some really good themes on there

yeah but mostly QVGA because most of people have QVGA and those with VGA have TF3D or use advance plugins...
