tomtom with a dopod

I'm having a problem with my Dopod aka magician . I have installed tomtom navigator 3 , when i try to run it says : cannot found countrymap .
I think the problem is, that "storage card" is written in chinese . Maybe thats why that tomtom can not see the storage card.
Correct me if i'am wrong. otherwise please help me to find a solution. Thanx

I installed TomTom 4.4 on my MDA II with Windows Mobile 2005. The problem is that TomTom finds maps only if installed directly on the device; on storage card, TomTom says: "no map installed". Has anybody a solution for this problem?

You must put the map in the root of the storagecard.
For instance:
\Starage Card\Benelux

HowTo get TomTom Navigator working

Hello there,
I just want to install TTN on my Wizard. I have all Versions on my PC.
5.0, 5.1 and 5.21 but there are serveral Problems, I was not able to get at least one of these Versions working.
5.0 -> The Installation of the gps and pim.cab went fine. But my Wizard always says that installation of ttn.cab failed.
5.1 -> Installation went completely fine. Installed PIM GPS and TTN (all to storage card) Voice Installation is also recognized by TTN but it states that it can't find my Map
5.2 -> The same Problem as 5.1
My Map is installed to \Storage Card\Deutschland-Map\
Also tried to put a CurrentMap.dat containing "& \Storage Card\Deutschland-Map\" to \My Documents\TomTom, but that doesn't help
Can someone help me?

Now installed TomTom Navigator 5.1 again (to Device Space) and got working the Benelux map at one, but still the device doesn't find the German Map. When i delete the Benelux Map TomTom again doesnt't show the German Map at all and instead says that it can't find any map...
By the way...has someone found a way to install TTN 5.2 to Storage Card? The Cabs don't ask where to install, they just load on the device space

I had the same problems, even my voices do not show up!

Help on Info GPS + Others

Hi, i'm newbie and thanks in advance for your help.
I've p3600 with Rom "cooked" but i don't know the version (because this PDA was given to me by my brother)
My device information is:
Rom: Stratos 1 5.1
Date Rom 31/1/2008
Version Radio: 1.46.30.11
Proto..: 32.79.7020.19H
Windows 6 professional (CE 5.2.1933 Build 18533.7.10.1)
In the PDS there was installed TOMTOM6 and it runs well.
Now i've removed TT6 and installed TT7 7_916, but the GPS is not found on TT. Now i've removed TT7.
Now i would view Info GPS from setting but when i tap icon "INFO GPS" nothing happens (ne message no window).
What can i do ?
How can i obtain the name/type ROM installed ?

Well the GPS in the SPV M700 uses COM9 so in the connection settings you will see GPS Info with a world icon you need to auto select the settings and selecting COM9 then you will be able to install an application that uses GPS and it should hopefully automatically detect GPS settings and start receiving information from satellites.

I had the same problem with tom tom u have to change the device type not just the com9, when you open device to find the gps do not use the inbuilt one try the external one (first to the left) then it should find satellites
