TomTom 4.4

Hi,
I installed TomTom 4.4 on my MDA II with Windows Mobile 2005. The problem is that TomTom finds maps only if installed directly on the device; on storage card, TomTom says: "no map installed". Has anybody a solution for this problem?

You must put the map in the root of the storagecard.
For instance:
\Starage Card\Benelux

thanks for your help, I could fix the problem by editing the map's path in the registry: \HKCU\TomTom\TomTom Navigator\Maps

O2 XDA II mini s Tomtom Naviagator 5

I have a O2 XDA II mini s and Tomtom Naviagator 5 software. I am using a Tomtom BT GPS Reciver.
When I try installing the software I get the Windows Error Box.
Can anyone give me a straight forward solution to this problem, I have trawled through just about every forum I can find to no avail.
Its driving me nuts please help!

The solution is simple really.
tomtom 5.00 is apparently not compatable with wm5... well it is just not off the CD.
You have a choise either you direct to the cd "pocket pc" and copy the zip/cab files over to your phone and install it from your phone. Then you install maps onto your hard disk and copy them to a storage point.
OR
d/l tomtom 5.** about .20 currently, install that then you will still have to copy the voice from the voice directory on the CD tp the storage on your phone and will still have to do the same with the maps.
if you want you b.t. gps to work I found to copy the gps cab file and install from the phone.
it all works very well even 5.00 but like I said you cant install from the CD.
its a pain, hope this helps

Ive Tried copying the following cab files
D:\tomtom\nveur\pocketpc\gps.zip
D:\tomtom\nveur\pocketpc\PIMMAddin.zip
D:\tomtom\nveur\pocketpc\ttn.zip
D:\tomtom\nveur\pocketpc\wizard.zip
Ive installed them on my phone but i cant find the application to launch Tomtom.
Ive also tired download the update and installing the cab files, i have the same problem with that.
Am i missing anything?
Im thinking of getting ALK CO-Pilot has anyone had any problem installing it to a Wizard.

just remove it and try d/l 5.21 off the tt website.
install it from your PC not as cab.
Also you may need to install your today cab, but this is not a normal thing. also you may have to send off for a new activation code if you used tt5 on another phone.
good luck and you will have the same problem with co-pilot as it also designed for wm2003/se so stick with tomtom.

TomTom Navigator 5 missing cab files

I just bought TomTom navigator 5 for my Wizard. I tried to install it onto my device as described on this forum but I can't find 3 of the 4 cab files that are needed.
I only have
2577/ttn.cab
I'm missing
2577/gps.cab
2577/PIMAddIn.cab
2577/wzd.cab
Can someone tell me where I can get those files or can email to me.

You don't need these if you do a manual install - which you need to do anyway if you have wM2005. You also need the TT V5.21 upgrade to use TT with BT GPS on WM2005.
You only need the TTN.cab - see here for my post about manual install.

Help installing TomTom on my Vodafone 1640 (XDA exec)

I have just upgrade my phone to 1640 and i am trying to install Tomtom version 5. The CD kept reporting an error so i download the version 5.21 and it's now install but i do not know how to install the maps, gps, voices etc.
Can anybody tell me what i need to do know. I just appear to have a base Tomtom 5.21 installed on my PDA

You need to install the maps directory at the root of your SD-Card. Typically, if you wanted the French maps, it would be the "France-map" directory.

Tomtom 7 Software Instalation Fails

I’m using an htc tytn ii and trying to install tomtom navigation software version 7 there on but getting the error “Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it has not been digitally signed by a trusted certificate” where after the instalation shuts down. I’ve tried the tomtom software on my tytn with the same result. Any help?
I’ve already tried the file default-signed-disablesecurity.zip as well as turning off the appropriate messages with kaiser tweak with out any success. the tytn ii uses windows mobile 6 and the tytn windows mobile 5 just for some extre information in case it’s necessary

first, this is is NOT tytn/kaiser forum.
2nd, i had no problem installing TT7 on my Universal w/ WM6. Yes, it *****ed about Unsigned code but I selected OK and it installed just fined. Perhaps u downloaded a bad copy of TT7. Use the 7.450 version.
