Hello guys,
I took the chance to ask for help in this excellent forum for first time. I was given a prophet jamin from my work which wasn't repaired and i decided to search the internet for any possible solution and i noticed that maybe i could fix the problem.. So here's the solution! When i turn on the jamin i get first a white screen with the logo of htc and then a blue screen with the following numbers:
IPL: 0.49
SPL: 2.13.0000
OS: 2.13.9.23
and some other times i get the above numbers plus a gsm number like GSM 02.07.28FA3CD98
I tried to bootload it with the reset button and the camera button but nothing happens..I have all the wires and the drivers in the box but i haven't used them yet
Finally, this is my request for help so i hope to work it out with your help

ok i think iv killed my m600
i flashed it with the older imate rom the 1.0.9 version
it installed 100% and rebooted and from ther it was stuck on the imate screen for like 10 minutes and i see the following text in red on the top left corner

i tried removing the battery and restarting the fone. still the same thing. can someone please please please help me with this?

im sure orange wont help me out since i flashed it with a non-orange rom.

hi there i seem to have the same problem as you with the boot screen. top left corner say's

can you please tell me how you fixed yours please it would be a great help
What you could do is flash it with an newer rom
Hold camera button AND reset (be asure that it hold it while resetting)
Then... you are in you bootloader... connect the PDA with your PC..it will recognized it!
Then run the romupdate ;-)

Aren't you getting "USB" written in the bottom left corner of the 3 colour screen when you connect it to USB?
Yes i get the USB come up at the bottom of the screen my computer does not do anything. can you tell me which ROM i will need as the ones i have to run the ROM update but it comes back saying connect to ActiveSync which i can not do is there a way round this?
Final got my SPV M600 Working with the ROM from the download area thanks for the help anyway

just change the usb port to another one and start rom it should pick it up
The problem appeared today morning, while listening music using tcmp. the sound stopped suddenly, and standard animated cursor appeared over tcmp screen. i closed tcmp, and the rest of the system seemed fine, i was able to mute the phone and entered my work place. After a while i noticed the screen is off and i can not turn it on using pwr button, although green led kept blinking so the phone was operating. after a soft reset it would not go over splash screen showing IPL, SPL (which are: IPL: 1.06, SPL 1.06, GSM: 01.12.10, OS 1.6.2.4).
I've tried multiple times and still the same, only difference is that sometimes I can see the cursor and sometimes not. I can get to rgb screen and "press send to restore" as well, but that's it. I can't remember whether previously pressing a key illuminated a screen and keys, but now it doesn't. I used to have problems with screen not going black on idle since few days, but that's it. What could have happened? And if the only solution is hard reset, please tell me, could I somehow backup my contacts now? I don't have activesync here so I have to wait till I finish my work to find out..

That's spooky. My MDA has the same versions of IPL, SPL, GSM and OS, and this morning started misbehaving.
What's this rgb screen you can get to with the "press send to restore" option?
How do I do a hard reset (I have a backup on SD) without being able to get to the Start>Settings>System>Clear storage control panel option?
Rgb screen is a bootloader which i enter by holding cam+voicedial+commmanager butons while softreseting wizard. the other screen i mentioned i enter holding cam and voice buttons, and then pres reset. that screen says 'pres send to restore factory defaults any other key to quit' and it does hard reset if you press green button here...
my problem seems to be over for now, i managed to turn the phone on while i plugged it into a wall charger (believe me, the battery was not a problem - i don't know for how long it's ok now, but at least i made contacts backup now so that i'm ok with a hard reste if i have to...
You both have old roms and could do with upgrading them to aku2 roms. (your device will be more stable) i.e. the first number of the rom will be 2. Please dont ask me to go through how to flash a rom because there are hundreds of posts on the same topic and read the wiki - shortcut top left of the screen. You need to identify whether your device is g3 or g4 but i suspect you both have g3 chips.
Now read & read esp the wizard upgrading forum and wiki and then when you feel confident - flash your device.
mu chipset is g3 based on my ipl/spl info... i wouldn't dare to ask anyone to explain the process of flashing, i'm not that crazy. only thing i'd dare, would be to advice me what rom should i use... or a way to determine this, since i know it can't be just any rom...

Looking at your rom numbers i gather you have a t-mobile vario - is it uk or usa rom or polish - i see you live in poland.

Its prob best you sim unlock and cid unlock before you flash in case you change to a non-tmobile rom inc one of the cooked roms.

p.s. by the way remember to write down your gprs settings and mms settings to use with your new rom.
thats right, its tmobile vario, uk one. it is sim unlocked, i'm not sure about cid but it should not be a problem. thanks for the hints, it really seems more then enough;] i'll probably have to use theese, as soon i have a spare evening...
you don't have to explain me the importance of gprs settings - forcing my wiz to work in uk's o2, then in polish plusgsm, then loosing settings and doing it again finally got me into a habbit of backing every settings up ;]

I did flash my HTC wizard with new rom after finishing the install the device reboot and stacked on the boot screen then I tried to go to the boot screen but I couldn't , I tried to make hard rest but also I coudn't nothing is working even charing the device cant be made .

Are you able to get to a multi-colored screen with numbers?
In case you don't know, to get to the bootloader screen hold down the camera button and press the power button.
now i got the same problem.
I updated the rom & now i have the multi-colored (red/green/blue/white) screen
with RUU - IPL 2.18 - SPL 2.18 - USB on it (Qtek 9100)
I downloaded the tools from Vippie in the thread "How to flash a new ROM to your Wizard... a little tutorial!" but those won't help...
anybody got any advice? I would like to install WM6...

My friend has an Orange M600 (UK G4) variant of the prophet.
I’ve done the recovery flash of the device and just re-flashed it with the orange ROM.
Problem is, I’ll get the splash screen saying orange…. But after a while a line appears across the screen (vertical if that makes any difference) and the screen then fades to either a black screen with an orange line on it or a white screen with a turquoise-ish line on it. The only way to turn the device off is to remove the battery.
Here's the info from the splash screen

Ever tried flashing with an AKU ROMS? the one that I used to repair my bricked Dopod 818 Pro G3 is with this ROM from l3v5y found in his thread here. Another thing, in my experience, if u want to flash your device in a dead state, you have to enter the SPL mode (Hold COMM button while turning on, you'll get a screen with 3 color.), after you flashed back to the NVID (No Vendor ID) ROM, then you can easily flash any ROM that you prefer given that you have HardSPLed your device once or JumpSPLed if that doesn't work, read this thread here. Hope this helps.

It won’t boot with any ROM on it, can get to the splash screen but then it just fades to previous motioned screens....
I ran out of ideas (apart from poss hardware failure)
I wish these were like the universal... easy to fix, flash etc

Please urgent help required.
my HTC P3300 (Artemis) stuck up when i was trying to start it up. when i use to turn my cell on, i goes to the starting screen shows the following numbers and then stuck up.
IPL 3.07.0001
SPL 3.07.0000
GSM 02.69.90
OS 3.7.0.0
the screen does not move after that. i tried soft reset through the reset button but result is the same.
i also tried hard reset and when i puch the green phone button to proceed, a message come "FORMAT FAILED" and the phone stucks up.
i am quite a lot of problems since i have upgraded to WM6 from WM5 last week.
i am quite sucked with this problem. not been able to use my set since yesterday.
please also note that my HTC was not syncing with my PC since i have upgraded to WM6.
PLEASE HELP URGENTLY.
