I was updating my MDA to WM6 when my computer froze in the middle of updating, so i unhooked the MDA and resset it, now its stuck on the splash screen!!!! no matter what I do! and activesync will not recogizine it also!! ive tried hard reset be all its saying issomething about a FAT partition, it can still go into bootloader mode so i know its not bricked, its a G3 model...SOmeone PLEASE help!!!!!

Read the wiki for wizard, I am sure God will help u if u help urself. I think it can be restored by going into the bootloader.

Thanks, did some reading and solved it, but than i wanted a new rom and when i installed it I started and it stuck at splashscreen again, only now hard reset fails and now matter what original tmobile rom i flash it to its still stuck!!! Please help!

What steps have you taken, and where are you stuck at now? Can you bring it into bootloader mode? What IPL/SPL? You said its G3, is it CID unlocked?
So far i have flashed it with the original Tmobile rom and some others through the bootloader mode, but even after it says flash completed I still get stuck on the splash screen, my ip/spl are both 2.26, and it is CID locked, and at the time i dont had a mini sd card to perform an sd rom upgrade, god i wish i just stuck with my original rom, please help!

So you've flashed back the oroginal tmobile rom, is that also 2.26? I presume you are using the standard update util for the flash and it says completed? I've seen the update util do that (say 100% complete but not actually update anything) .. this behaviour is documented somewhere in this forum (took me about 8 flashes and a lot of confusion and frustration before I found the forum threads!) this only happened on a CID locked phone flashing a custom rom.. i don't think that happens with original vendor roms..
Can't say I have had the same problem. From looking at the forum, most people who get stuck like this can flash the wizard love rom and get back on. For me, I have mostly been able to get back to the original rom when needed, except when I bricked my G4 phone (before G3/G4 was well understood)...

p.s if this only happens on cid locked phones, is there anyway to unlock my cid while in bootloader mode?

Like I said I had not used it myself, but there are many references to it in the forums.
When you say you are stuck, does it load the Windows splash screen or does it get stuck on the IPL/SPL screen?

No you can't CID unlock in bootloader mode.. there are a number of threads on how to CID unlock...

Only that by all accounts, you should be able to get a working phone again if you can get into bootloader mode.. unless you have hardware issues. The other item that may be of problem is the extended rom which can get corrupted.

Sounds like the built-in flash memory is bad. I'm not sure what you can do about that, short of replacing it.
No offense Reverend, but where did you hear that? Its just bad flash man! Simply enter the bootloader mode, and re-flash a new rom to your device. What program where you trying to install?

something from a pocket freeware site.. "XDA-Team_Manilla2D.CAB"
it's a touchflo 2d app for today screen.. after installing it, the sistem wouldn't boot up anymore. so i tried to format, soft reset, to restore the system..
the formatting started and then gave an error and shut down immediately. i didn't even catch a glimps of that error 'cause it restarted.. and then the problem. it won't go past the operator splash screen
tried to reformat.. would't start.. format failure
..simply wow.. don't get me wrong , but i didn't knew there was a bootloader screen until this happened.. i dug up about this problem on the forum, but i can't solve it.. i don't know that much about flashing.. isn't the wizard supposed to be cid-unlocked to be able to flash it with a new rom?
or there's a rom that doesn't require the pda to be unlocked?.. cause' i think mine isn't. and, since i can't get it to boot up the os, i can't cid-unlock it after the tutorials i've found here..

Oh you poor sole...that program that you tried to flash is notorious...I did the very same thing to mine just the other day. It doesnt work with the Wizard yet for some reason.
Now, onto your problem, yes-I think that your Wizard IS INDEED CID locked, and if that is the case, search for the Wizard LOVE ROM and flash it. It can be flashed with a CID unlocked device. Head into your bootloader mode, then start up the RUU flashing program on your PC that is included with the ROM. After it flashes, you can use the Wizard Service Tool, which is also availible via searching to CID and SIM unlock your device, and then you can put any ROM that you like onto it. I hope that helps somewhat!
If you can get it into bootloader mode, you can recover. If the phone is not unlocked, you will have to load the original service ROM for that phone.
You MIGHT get lucky by just flashing the IPL/SPL back though, now that I think about it...look at the "How to Remove HardSPL" thread for the most popular IPL/SPL sets. If this works, you won't have to put all of your custom settings and programs back on.

Simply,download the official stock rom of the carrier and flash it in Bootloader mode to recover back to its default status,than downgrade to IPL/SPL 1.xx to CID unlock the phone,how to CID unlock the phone, read and follow this guide carefully :-

i can't find anywhere the original one.. my wizard is in orange.ro carrier [orange spv m3000].. i tried on varios romanian discussion site's but only found radio rom's i'll keep searching...
any ideea what other kind might work with cid-locked?

If you have said the truth... you've got a G3 device cause your ipl spl are 2.27.

dude.. that's what i've been trying hard reseting it.. and i get the same error each time i try it "Format Failed"
no sd inserted.. i took it out a while ago.. cause i read on the forum to flash without it.
i begining to get desperate over here

Also take out if any sdcard or mini sd is inserted in the phone before flashing,it also causes this Format Failed problem.
I need help. I wanna flash my ROM, but in the half it stop and get my phone "offline". After restart(i try hardreset too) it freeze on "BIOS" boot screen. Can I do something with this problem at home? Or i have to go to the service???

First: Never flash a ROM if you don't know how to get back if it fails. But I'LL help. You have to press the camerabutton while doing a softreset. You'll see a screen with three colours. Now connect your phone to your PC and flash a original ROM. That will work for sure. But you have to use XP.
And what too hell have you done that flashing of one of our cooked roms (Can see it cause of the OS Version) failed? And do you try to cook your own ROM? Because it seems so as you wrote you tried to flash your ROM.

I've got to this situation again, but today I've got another problem. The baterry is charged, but phone don't wanna start. Is there any reason????
dutty 2.6 rom installed, no problem after reboot
changed the wince.nls, no problem after reboot
but after install chinese ime-only.cab
after reboot showing the rom version, then nothing after that ....
anyones know why, how to fix it ?

Hard reset
I was not able to to the Volup + VolDn thing as I thought this function was faulty.
But since it seems there is no other way, then I have to try it again and agian.
I finally got it work, it requires a little trick there.
but anyway, I got it "hard reset".

woops sry - i did a rom update of my new blackstone, from htc.com/dk website. After the update i got the same problem as this thread: Black bootscreen with rom and radio version text in right bottom. I've tried hardreset with same result (stops at bootscreen). I tried reinstall the rom but got basicly the same result, with one exception: i actually got as far as to the windows loadscreen saying: "...Will install as when u bought it..." (or something very close to that.
Hopes this clarifies my issue

Ah yes - but i tried find a lower DK - version; i got a v1.00. But when i try running the RUU it halts at 0%. The version the device came with was v1.19, but i can't find a danish version of that ROM. I tried a WWE, but i got a vender id error.
So, i finally went and tried to get a 6.5.5 rom on my HD2 after reading everywhere that its alot better. Everything worked, the hardspl, the customruu installation..
then the phone booted, it showed the rom information (ROMeOS4 LEO Windows Mobile 6.5.5) and it said it was "customizing" dont know why really.. then it restarded, and now it wont get past the white HTC screen.. what do i do??

There would be a radio on your device from your original rom, it's probably just the wrong version. As stated, for that rom you require either the 2.07.50 or 2.08.50 radio. Follow the link in my signature and flash the radio exactly the same way as you flashed your rom.
OKay i got all that but i cant flash it because the phone is stuck at the white htc boot screen so the customRuu doesnt recognize it.
what do i do now? im stumped.. is there a manual hard reset key press or something?
EDIT: I figured out how to get into bootloader and im now putting the right radio on it, lets see if this works

Just pot your phone in bootloader mode by reseting while presing volume down button and after that flash the proper radio.

Putting the radio wich you suggested on it didnt work, it still hangs at the white htc screen... should i flash another rom? i really dont wanna kill my HD2 haha

I sugest you to flash back your original rom by sd card and restart the whole proces once again by flashing the radio first and after that the desired rom.
By flashing the original rom trought sd card metod you will have to reinstall HSPL.

a Rom Canot Work Without Radio Thats Why wont get thrue
try this and see....
try to hold both up/dowm volume keys and thn hold power button.
one message will appear tht,if u want to restore ur phone or not, press the upper volume button, ur phone will restore on its original settings.......try it out.....
mine got stuck on the white screen last week... i removed the SD card, restarted it again and then it worked...then i retried with the sd card and it was ok... don't know why
