Now that i have this beautiful headset, there is only one problem:
everytime i want to listen to music i have to erase the bluetooth profile, put the headset in pairing mode and enter 0000...
it takes time!
(well...just some seconds...but it's boring!!!)
is there a way to do an auto-pairing?
I have that one too - very happy with it so far, impressive battery life!
As for your issue, the pairing procedure has to be done once and the headset should be recognized automatically every time you turn it on, provided BT is on of course. Perhaps you're holding the headset button too long forcing it in pairing mode?
The problem I have is different.
I can pair them easily. Just on bluetooth on both sides and they work. Using Core Player and Windows Media Player was flawless.
But still I can't seem to be able to make/receive calls on my headphones.
I have both profiles selected in the bluetooth settings.
I tried disabling the stereo profile, and it still doesn't work with making/receiving calls.

I think I found the solution to my own problem.
I found out that during the pairing process with the TyTNII, I musn't enter the passcode the first time. Only when it asks for the second time for passcode, I have to enter 0000. I think the first one was to set a password so that the device you are pairing will have to enter the password set on the TyTNII so that the device can see the TYTYII. However in this case, the headset is not able to enter any password.
It now works flawlessly stereo profile and headset profile simultaneously.

Hi folks
I've got my self a pair of HP Bluetooth headphones (very nice btw!) but every time I want to use them, I have to turn on bluetooth, go into bluetooth devices, press and hold the bluetooth headphones and select "set as wireless stereo".
My question is, is there anyway of getting my phone to automatically pair with my bluetooth headphones? Rather than having to go into the bluetooth settings everytime?
Or even put a shortcut on the today page would be easier enough?
Thanks
I was having the same question, but people sais that it is not a good idea to keep your device recoverable from other devices all the time from security point of view. So, i refused from this idea

I found out that if you create a shortcut (.lnk) with notepad and put this in it:
23#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,23,1
You can get right to the bluetooth devices screen. I haven't seen how to pair something automatically though. hopefully one of the bluetooth guru's here can figure that out.
Thanks Jizzay1
Start -> link -> Tap+hold -> connected
Alot better than comms manager -> bluetooth settings -> devices -> tap+hold -> connected
Maybe someone will find a way to press a link and connect straight away, but this way I can live with in the mean time
Obviously different to bluetooth headsets. I use a Nokia HDW-3 and it connects everytime, my bluetooth is not set to discoverable either
I'm not sure why you guys have to re-pair your headsets. I never have. If bluetooth and the headset are on then I can make calls through it.

I'm having this problem with my STEREO BT headset, and it sounds like mixmasterollie is too, but it seems like the people that don't have this problem are using normal mono headsets. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
I'll have a mono headset to test tomorrow to see if my 8125 will pair with it automatically.
As iunderstood for the phone calls my STEREO headset is pairing automatically, but not for music

I just tried my friend's over the ear plantronics 510 mono headset and it pairs automatically once i turned on bluetooth on my phone and on the headset. My 8125 doesn't say anything on the screen once it's been paired, but it works.
Sounds like i just have to live with manually pairing my IOGEAR stereo headset.
Try playing with the "action" button on the headset. On mine, the volume up button has a dot on it. I turn on the BT, turn on the headset, wait a couple seconds and hit the volume up button twice. It automatically goes into wireless stereo when I do that. Boy, was I happy when I discovered that!
No such luck I'm afraid, my HP BT Headphones don't auto-pair, no matter what buttons I press on the headset
I think wireless stereo and hands free act differently, whereas the hands free ones connect automatically but the headphones only option doesn't.
Shame really!
Problem #1)
I'm using a Jabra BT3030 stereo headset with my Blackstone.
I don't want to use it as handsfree, so I've only ticked "stereo" under the BT device settings. Problem is that it connects both stereo and handsfree.
If i manually tick "handsfree", save, then disable it and save again, it connects only stereo, no handsfree.
...but after powering down my Jabra headset and powering up, the problem is back.
It works as expected on my Polaris!!
Problem #2)
I like to listen to audio books, therefore I use Coreplayer, since it can resume where I left off.
Problem is that the default music player grabs all bluetooth play/stop/rew/fwd commands, so I end up with the audio book in Coreplayer AND music from the default player SIMULTANEOUSLY. Very annoying.
Also works as expected on my Polaris. (First audio application started obeys the BT commands)
Any ideas? Is it possible to disable the default music player?
For audiobooks I'm using Pocketplayer alt. Mortplayer. I have problems using BT3030.
I have to say, unfortunately I cannot help, but I do find the bluetooth in WM6 to be pretty feeble [and I cannot alter the setup definitions from what it 'wants' to pickup by default either].
My biggest problem is with the auto pickup [after 'X' rings] - it doesnt work on 2 of my devices (works ok in the car though) - works perfectly on my old motorola/sony ericsson/nokia etc etc .....
Bloody annoying
Hi all,
Im trying to listen to the audio playback using my BT headset, but the music never comes to the BT headset, it starts playing at the speakers although x1 shows A2DP profile.
Bluetooth A2DP headset with X1
I am having a similar problem.
I have an I.Tech Clip Radio that is capable of A2DP. When I was adding the new device, leaving the pin blank, headset was added successfully with both headset and wireless stereo profiles. Then in the Bluetooth setting page, when I try to "Set as wiresless stereo", a message will show trying to add headset into device list, press yes it will request for passcode, and does not accept the correct default passcode "0000" while the "Next" is grey out if I leave the passcode blank. And of course the Windows Media Player is then playing thru the speaker not headset.
Anyone has any idea? Is it an incompatible issue or I was doing it wrong?

I've had the same problem with my Jabra SP700, I'll toy with it tomorrow and see if I can find something.
I have a similar problem, bought a bluetooth headset at DX. It is connecting to the phone,
but as soon as I start a call it disconnectes by its own.
I have no idea whats wrong, somebody who can help me?
I think/hope I found the solution:

I have been reading many threads on getting the "stereo audio" connection to auto connect fot BT Stereo headsets. It seems that when you pair it the first time, both "Hands Free" and "Stereo Audio" are working. When you disconect your headset and reconnect it again, only "Hands Free" connects.
I have tried A2DP toggle and A2DPSwitch, but they dont seem to work on the HD2. A2DP toggle did work when I had my old Samsung Omnia i900, so I can assume that its something to do with the HTC Phone Bluetooth stack
Each time I want to use the BT Stereo headset, I need to go to settings/menu/all settings/Bluetooth/590Plantronics and expand + and select "Stereo Audio". They then connect.
What I would like to do is until there is a fix for this, to reduce the number of taps, is create a shortcut to the Bluetooth Control Panel that shows the 590Plantronics device.
Is this possible?
Thanks Chris
Just make a shortcut to Windows\BTManager.exe and add it as a quicklink.
hi,
i have a jabra 3030 and a motorola s705 and both are reconnecting (handsfree and stereo audio) properly, when i turn them of and on again. when i go out of range (eg. forgot the mobile in teh car), when i come back the handsfree connects direct, and the setereo audio after i press the play button once. maybe this works for you also.
regards mad
I installed AutoA2DP on my phone and ever since, whenever I turn on my headset, it always connects as both stereo bluetooth and headset. I haven't tried it on an HD2 but you should definitely try it out.
I found the .cab of AutoA2DP awhile ago but forgot where I found the download link. In any case, I have attached it for your convenience.

Hi kilrah, thanks for your advice! That cuts out a few blinkin clix now and will do as a work around till this fiasco is solved, lol
I also noticed something very bizzare, and it is confirming my suspicions that HTC is in cahootz with MS or Widcomm or both, lol.
I tried using auto a2dp as suggested by GurWu, leaving the a2dp.ini file as wmplayer.exe. I then deleted the Plantronics from the system, re-paired them and what should spring to life after turning on the cans? You guessed it..WMP all paired up with HF and Stereo Audio. Turned off the headsets, turned them back on again and sure enough, WMP launches and plays thru the headsets.
All good, except I wont use WMP as it STILL doesnt have an EQ (Not getting in to why one needs an EQ or not here, lol)
No problems, I thought, Ill just set the a2dp.ini to pocketplayer.exe (my preferred player) turned on the headsets and.......nothing....no pocket player came to life.
Doing a manual launch of PP revealed that the headsets were only paired as HF, so back to my original problem.
Renamed a2dp.ini back to wmplayer.exe and it all works as it should....mmmmmm...does this wreak of a MS/HTC/Widcomm ploy? LoL
PS @ mad: When you said press the play button, were you referring to the play button on the software of your chosen media player or a hardware button as I dont have a play button on my HD2
PPS: Got a reply bacl from a2dp toggle author, says that it only supports M$ BT stack :-(
Cheers Chris
Hello.
I've a problem with Bluetooth call on my phone (stock rom) . All works great but since a couple of days I can't receive or make some calls with any Bluetooth device ( headset handfree, car audio etc). Media like music or icoyote (set in a2dp notification o media) works great.
I've reset all, car audio, phone. Nothing changed. I've installed spectrum mm rom, I've the same problem.
When I open Bluetooth device properties I can't activate the option for call and notification.
Do you have any idea for solve this problem?
Hello and up! Anyone have an idea to solve my problem? I've reset the phone 2 time and it works great for 2 week and now it don't work. I can't made a call with the Bluetooth
bluetooth doesnt open?can u send-receive files?
Hello. Bluetooth works. I can play audio like mp3 on hands-free and car audio. I can make phone calls on car audio but sounds of call don't go on car audio. On the phone I can't check made call on Bluetooth
I've tested the last spetrum's modem. All works great after each reboot but just one time.
When I enable the bt for the first time after rebooting it connect and call phone option was activated. When I enable it the second time it connect but call phone options was disable and if I tried to check it I can't.
the only issue that I have from the bigining..is that many times although b.t connects,it doesnt transfer sound to my plantronics M55 b.t headset.then I just turn off-on my headset,it reconnects automatically and sound is being transmited normally..
I solved the same problem with this thread
