I wanted to sell my phone so I hardreset it (my c500 has wm5), but it didnt worked and now the phone only starts till orange screen..
Ive googled and the only way is to flash wm5 again on the phone, but the problem is, windows xp doesnt recognize my c500, so i cant flash it back! What must i do now!! Please Help!!!
hey this will help you
Press Alt+Ctrl+Del and kill task wcescomm. then go to mtty establish an usb connection. when the white screen appears press enter i'll se a cmd:>
Download the wm5.bin ROM and copy to c:\ for example. return to mtty and write l c:\wm5.bin and that's all (l = small L)

I hv DL RUU New version on website O2 UK, when i upgrade ROM to 99%, my cpmputer Show Error message, i try 2-3 times, but same problem, i hv unplug my o2 to computer, it BLANK SCREEN,
I hv replug in to my computer, USB NOT RECOGNIZED.
Now how to Fix it?

ya man in the same boat ..... screen is blank but its on and everything is working cause i here the touch screen but , blank and won't connect to usb....anyone know what we should do . is it a paper wait or can it be fixed?
I had a wizard and trying to fix it.
When switch on, blue cingular screen appears and show ipl spl gsm os numbers.. and halts on.... it stays like this...
i enter RGB screen it says ONLY `ipl 2.25 spl 2.25` ...
when i connect it to usb.. USB text appears but when I try to install `love ROM` RUU says, it is not connected check computer check usb cable.. so it is invisiable for computer but in device manager it s shown as winCE syc device when I connect..
do u think it is bricked.. Or theres some to do....

Yes ! if it gets into Bootloaders mode(tricolor screen) with ipl/spl display and when hooked up with pc via usb,a small usb appears at the bottom of the Bootloaders,it means it has connectivity with the pc,You can flash the official rom in the Bootloaders.

While in Bootloaders (RGB) screen,hook up the phone with pc via usb cable,watch small usb appear at the bottom of the Bootloaders,run the RUU in the Rom you downloaded,follow the instructions,it'll start to flash.let it finish and the phone will reboot.
i have vodafone PDA1605. i try to update with orignal htc tytn windows 6 rom after one % it says inviled verder id & device restart. after restart after displaying vodafone logo & windows logo screen goes white. i try so many things after that. i try vodafone orignal rom (HER_VODA_1201616_1030600_UK_SHIP) when first start to update with this rom it displayed pocket pc rom ver. when i try next to update this ver with same ver(HER_VODA_1201616_1030600_UK_SHIP) error message displayed check your cable or pda (message no. 260) but when i try 2 update with Tytn win 6 rom. its woking but only one % & message displayed inviled vender id. i try to update spl & radio ver but displayed your image corrupt.

Slp : 2.15.0001
Gsm : 02.19.21
Os : 4.0.0.0
And it just stop's there , what i got to do ? please help me (
did you tried to flash another ROM?
if you want to recover your device even if its not into bootloader mode try doing this steps it will downgrade you to the NVID (no vendor ID ) ROM Windows MObile 5
1. Turn on your prophet
2. if it stops at the O2 screen just press Comm Manager Button ( if you dont know how to locate it its the button underneath the camera button if your device is facing you) long press that and stick in your stylus (pen) to a small hole besides the port where you place your charger ( USB connector ) pressing the tiny button gently and remove stylus without removing your finger on the comm manager button until you reach the tri colored screen called bootloader.
3.then follow this link step by step:
