Hi everybody.
I've 2 TyTNs.
The first has xda-live 0.2
The second has the standard italian rom.
After flashing the first I've lost all my messages (I was trying to restore a backup made with SPB Backup) but it didn't work at all.
Before flashing the second I'd like to backup (on WM5) and restore (on WM6) all data.
For Contacts I use NS Contact Backup (I prefer it to outlook)
For SMS I use SMS Backup but it works for SMS only.
For Outlook Emails I use Activesync.
What can I use to backup MMS on WM5 and restore them on WM6?
(I already tried SMS organizer but it hangs. )
Thanks anyone.
Very good question. I want to know also how to backup my MMS.
SMS is no problem.

I am using SPB Backup for full backup. If I upgrade my ROM, there is no option to selectively restore SMS or MMS and surely there is no option to restore call log.
PIM Backup works well, but it does not seem to have an icon in the Programs folder?

Thanks. PIM Backup work well. It's exactly what I wanted. Thanks.
I've searched around and haven't found any information. Is there a way to save your SMS and MMS files from the phone? Any tools? I am interested in upgrading to WM6, but do not want to lose my SMS and MMS messages.
An aside, if there is a way to get the messages off with full information such as who sent and when would be great.
Thank you in advance for the help,
Brent
If You want to backup your messages and contacts from your phone use Jeyo Mobile Companion 2.0 and backup to the PC or Jeyo SMS backup to backup directly from your phone
How to Backup SMs when upgrading from M2.1 to M2.5

try using microsoft my phone?
Install pimbackup on your phone or just run it as an application (.exe)
You can find it everywhere on the internet
After that start the program and select backup....
Give the backup a location (I'm always using storage card)
After that just do your thing, flash rom or manila as you suggested.
Now start PPCpimbackup and "restore" search on sd card your backup and finished. That's all.
Good Luck
pim backup is ok, but not satisfing... I encounter a strange order of threaded sms in titanium edition.
with SPB backup.... it worked fine.
ok, it is a commercial product, so you may investigate further, but I did the trick for me.
beside: it may not be the greatest idea to import mass of sms into manilla 2.5.
I've tried PimBackup and Sprite Backup.
Both backup and restore fine the SMSs, but PIM when restoring, when using the HTC Messaging client, don't put the pictures of the contacts in convertation mode. With Sprite Backup I have no issues...
MOD EDIT - Moved to general discussion
Thankyou for your replies I intend to flash my phone tonight - I have flashed my phone many times, It will be the first time using manila 2.5
Just installed this and, after some frustrated attempts to backup and restore SMS messages, I finally got it to work.
Here's the key... backing-up PIM data does NOT backup SMS messages on the HD2. You MUST select the option to backup e-mails when running a custom backup if you want your SMS messages backed-up!
Hope this helps someone.
