I have made my worst error in my life i think... i was trying to update my rom.... but ...
First my HW6915 with a great hp logo wich says "hp invent, vG.39" and in the top something that says "serial" or "usb" when i plug it up.
I try to fix it with i know .
But now ....black ......with nothing
I have reading all the things you talked and having no idea .
i asked someones help..How can i do!
Do i have something to do ??? Has my ipaq chances ?...

Yes ,it's still in trouble. what can i do.....
can you make a hard reset?? by pressing simultaneously the five buttons : power button, camera button from left side, green "send" button and red "end" button from keypad and the soft-reset button (using your stylus)... ? (i was tired first time i wrote the procedure, my mistake!)
or, perhaps, enter bootloader by pressing simultaneously the two front buttons (the left and right of the keyboards joystick) and the soft reset (using your stylus)
if ok, you'll have that screen again, showing vG.39 on bottom, and "serial" or "usb" on top...

You can try hard reset, bat not in the way wikidork was told you. You must press POWER button, GREEN dial button, RED stop button together and then pres RESET with stylus. If this wont work then try with bootloader mode like wikidork told you. When you are in bootloader mode try to upgrade with French ROM and then with ENGLISH one like i did. This must work.

that means you accidentaly broke your hp's bootloader... unless you have some knowledge on dealing with JTAG-related operations, it seems useless to try other software miracles...best advice : sell the rest of your device or buy a similar hp with broken display from e-bay, in order to change the mainboard... or send the dead ipaq to some professional service...

Hi. Please I need your help because I don't now if my PDA is broken, I tried to change the language German to Spanish the realized steps have been the following. - hw6915_up_2_spanish_flasher
when the installation process finish (I'm not sure if I disconnects the PDA from the base before finish the process because now on the screen appears the following.
Serial + hp + vG.39 but change when I conect it to the computer to : USB + hp + vG.39
I don't now what is the next step to load spanish rom I have the archive but how I have to do it because when I conect the Hw6915to de computer to charge the rom after one minute appears error.Pls what I can do but the thing is that now the PDA is inoprative NO GERMAN - NO SPANISH.
please can you help me to repair or finish the process.Thank you very much in advance for your cooperation. and sorry for my bad english

please help! I have made a wrong ROM Update for my Artemis. The result is that it doeasn`t starts anymore. I see only the start screen no more. If i make a SW or HW reset tahn i see a 3 colored screen and USB. But i don`t get a connection via usb to my compute`! How can i wake up my Artemis ???

You need the original ROM which was on your device when you bought it. What version (HTC, MDA, etc..) and what language was the original ROM?

I guess I made the same or a similar mistake that dr.moppi did. My machine is a Dopod P800 from mainland china with the chinese operating system. I flahsed it with PDAMobiz_Dopod_P800W_AKU301_v1.1.2_PowerMap. Don't really remember what the original ROM was but now when i turn it on it freezes when it lights up. On the screen, it says

I don't get a connection through usb to the computer either. I am not sure if I did the hard reset correctly. Didn't understand the instruction on that "press the soft key left and right and soft reset at the same time." Anyway, you guys are all experts, can you help me please?

@dr. moppi we can only help you if we know what version you had before.
@empathyvirus you have to look for the original ROM which, in your case, should be the Chinese Dopod ROM. Install that one and your good to go.
Without the original ROM the only thing left to do is: sending your device to your provider or contact and sent it to the guys of imei-check. Either way, you'll probably have to pay to get it fixed.

Put your device in bootloader by pressing the record button and reset at the same time. If you have your USB-cable connected between your PC and your phone it will indicate a connection by 'USB' in the left corner of your device. Now you should be able to run the ROM executable and update your device.

I initially tried the upgrade on a Vista Machine and it put my iPaq in Bootloader mode only.
Then i took it to an old laptop USB 1 with XP and it worked like a charm.
Does your phone go into bootloader mode?

you must not flash the radio part or you will risk bricking the phone. just put the phone into bootloader mode (press the two keys between the answer and reject calls, the soft keys i mean and while holding them press reset button situated in the bottom of the phone. the phone will enter in bootloader mode.you will need to delete all the .nbf files in your folder that you showed us except the CEOS. run sable and press upgrade... that's it !
In my HP was problem with RADIO. I want repair this problem and i write "P10504_BT_HP_Radio_Patch". On screen displaied HP logo and vG. 39 (light is off) and computer show error 605. Now when i want write any ROM to my devince computer show this error again. I was trying write Orange rom (hw6915_up_2_french(Orange)_flasher) and english ROM (G3 DEVICE ONLY hw6915-1.21uk) but this not help me. Now when i power on my HP on screen is HP logo and vG. 39(bootloader) again. Sorry for my bad english and i think that you help me
In MMTY.exe i do "task 28 55aa" end now when i power on my HP LCD is black but when i do bootloader mode i see "serial" and vG 3.9 (my phone is g3 or g4?) When i writing new rom in bootloader mode computer show error;/ Maybe i have CID lock ?? How i unlock my phon ?? Certainly when upgrade from WM03 to WM06, we all must go to the boot loader option to clean registry, disable KITL, clean storage...etc . However,poor me, I have an XDAII with broken record and camera button, so that I can not get in Boot Loader ( Press ResetButton and hold down CameraButton + RecordButton )
So could any one solve this problem?

coz i'm new in pocket pc phone n dont have any experience about flashing pocket pc phone, i usually flashing cdma phone (not ppc, just mobile phone)
i'm from indonesia, i bought i-mate from stupid person with IDR250.000 (around USD$25) lol
but too bad, he's selling i-mate with arabic letter, i dont understand arabic, n another problem, that phone didnt soft reset when i press soft reset button
here's my 1st experience to upgrade arabic i-mate (1.66.00WWE) into o2 xda-2 (1.72.00WWE)
i downloaded radio.nbf file from this ftp n flashing with himaupgradeut_noID, when complete n phone got reset, u'll get bootloader screen, u can update your pocket pc with any firmware u want

yes, its because you'r flashing Radio only, if you are flashing WM5/WM6/WM6.1/WM6.5 you need to enter bootloader mode!
Me to have only record button not working
But i made it,open your phone open whole parts,now attach your battery with a rubber ring so phone can start,notice that white part which is situated near the camera which has four pines fix it with screw or until your phone boots, you need four hands either to enter in boot loader mode or hard reset.you should connect the circuit button with a metal/wire,first try that button you will see camera or record working apply same for your needs. out of that four points of button adjust three to connect toughether to activate.

if u can get ur tricolor screen then try this
connect the usb cable to pc and see if u get the USB words on the phone tricolor screen if so good try flashing any official ROM the same happened to my phone long back did the above got my phone back asuming u have done HSPL for ur phone if u have not done that then the only way is to take it to service

Wrong forum.. Touch P3450 is not a touch 3g , its the original touch (ELF version)
but i will try and help as i have owned both.
if your hardware buttons are not working it could be possible that your send and end keys are stuck down as this key combo brings up the hard reset you are talking about.
think you are going to have to open it as it sounds like a hardware fault, and if you cannot get into bootloader you cannot flash
if it was working alright before this is not the case, but either way you will have to fix your camera button and get into bootloader
