HI!
I made a back up of rom like it was written here:
http://en.pdamobiz.com/en/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=370
now I want to restore everyting... but I failed to do..=((
I copy my rom.nb1 to SD card via ntrw.exe, insert card in ppc, put it n bootloader mode - and nothing happens =((
is it possible to get radio_.nbf, nk.nbf and ms_.nbf from that backup put it them to pug's rom (I mean overwrite them) and start that upgrade tool?
or is there any other way to restore that back up??
I need it because it's my original firmware - it's different from O2 version (ext. rom is completly different and spash screen is diferent and some other things too..)..
I managed to get ext_rom out of there... but still have problems with other...
does anybody know what would happens if I try to update with corrupted rom? would I be able to return to bootloader and flash another rom?
or it's dangerous to try?
Hi all !
I have a CID-unlocked Artemis.
Tried to flash O2 English WM6 ROM today.
Now i'm stucked on boot screen.
Is it possible to perform a reflash via BootLoader ?
SD method did not work. I copied the ARTEIMG.NBH file to SD, but bootloader does not see it.
Anybody can help ?
Try this link this may help you

If you are sure that the phone is CID unlocked, you should be able to download any rom's from any of the network operators and reload it from the bootloader. then you can try to upgrade WM6 again
In order to SD Flashing your SD card must be formated at FAT32

Hi,
RE: Vodafone Magic 32B
I was attempting to install Cyanogen ROM last night and (long story short) ran into a few problems.
I am now in a position where I can boot (but not flash) a recovery image via fastboot. My SD card appears to be corrupt since I can't format it via the recovery menu, and the adb process is confusing me.
I have two basic questions:
1. Can I format the SD card without an SD card reader in my laptop?
2. Can I send a new ROM to the SD card via adb/fastboot?
I believe the answer to both is "yes", but I am having seemingly random issues... for example I cannot restore my Nandroid backup via fastboot (either manually or via GUI); the same goes for a "stock" Nandroid backup I downloaded.
At the moment my phone hangs on the UK Vodafone screen and nothing else (other than fastboot via vol. down+power), and I really need to get it working ASAP.
Thanks for your help.
not sure if this will help
http://code.google.com/p/android-roms/wiki/NANDROID_Fastboot
sitimber: I followed a very similar guide to that, however the Nandroid backup flashes fail (something about "remote signature verify fail")
do you have anything that u can put the sd card into like another phone or ???
and connect it to the pc to format
No, I'd previously stuck with Sony Ericsson handsets (Memory Stick Micro), and have no way to get the SD Micro card into the laptop. I'd buy an adaptor, but no stores seem to have them and I'd rather not wait for delivery from an online store.
asda tesco all sell minisd memory card adaptors for about fiver
if you get the adapter and you have anything that takes sd card like camera tomtom ect
connect and format
Thanks for your response, I will take a look in Asda and a couple of other places tomorrow.
I don't have anything which uses a micro SD card - is using a PC to format it in FAT32 enough?
Once I do that, it should just be a case of putting (e.g.) Cyanogen ROM on there and installing via the recovery screen?
Does the ROM image have to be named "update.zip" because I am wondering if that is what went wrong last time...
Hi, the problem you are having luke its your spl. You have to flash to a new spl
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529019
You need to have a enginered spl. Im not sure but the error you are having is because of you spl.
Tell me what spl are you using?

The default is HBOOT-1.33.0004 (SAPP10000) : Sapphire PVT 32B SHIP S-ON G : CPLD-10 (Voldafone NL + UK + Australia)
It says this on my fastboot screen as well (1.33.0004).
I have read about SPL previously, but the instructions I followed to root/flash the phone didn't mention it... hence I don't think I have used an engineered SPL unless it was via another name.
When I rooted, I basically installed the app which allows you to flash a new recovery image (Cyanogen 1.4) and then proceded to back up with Nandroid which I later transferred to my PC. I then tried to flash the Cyanogen 4.1.11.1 (?) ROM at which point it failed.
Since that point I have gone through so many things, I doubt what I did originally makes any difference.
Yes, but i read in a thred that there were 3 guys with the same error that you have. They flashed to another spl and got back working.

Read post number 17.
Great link, thanks.
How do I know which SPL to flash? I have read most of the thread, but I can't see where it says how you decide which to use.
EDIT: If I get an SD card reader, and put a new ROM on it; can I flash that ROM from the fastbooted recovery screen instead of using the Nandroid backups (and hence avoid flashing a new SPL?)

I suggest you tu use an enginereed spl, the version you´ll have to chose, but many people are flashing the Engineering SPL HBOOT-1.33.2005 version, to flash another roms.
The function of the SPL its to boot you phone and this spl will turn off the signature check.
Yes if you get an SD card reader. But go to the wikipedia written by radix999. Its very helpful.
This is the link of the wiki im talking about:

Hi guys,
i've many problems with the market, i can't install or upgrade any app, and now i want to format my Tattoo 1.6 rooted.
Can i only format the phone or do I also format the sd?
Then I'll root again the phone?
Thank you in advance
Get a RUU from www.shipped-roms.com. Click the Android picture and then select Click. Then download the RUU that matches ur region. Connect ur phone and run the RUU application. Remember to keep a goldcard inserted in the phone while flashing it.
