SD Card flashing locks at 003C0000...HELP!!!

I was trying to flash my TMO Pocket PC to 4.01 ENG and it locked at PRG 003C0000 and reset back to the bootloader. I thought it was just the card so I went to my backup and got the same thing so I popped my card into my reader/writer and tried to flash using the TMO original 3.14 and same thing again.
Is my XDA dead?
Please help me out.

and is your flash card big enough to hold 32M?
a card that says '32M' can usually only hold about 29M or 30M of data. which is not enough for rom flashing.

I have tried 2 different cards, they are both 128MB's

Maybe you should download a new rom and try writing that to a card.

I tried the TMO original from Yorch, a 4.01 cooked rom and the official 4.01

Confirming this is your first ROM upgrade on that unit? If so what boot loader version is it running?

I have upgraded 3 or 4 times via both Activesynch and SD card flashing with no problems, bootloader 5.15

send to T-mobile for service, if it is still in warranty.

Flashing through SD

Hi all,
I just my very first PDA a HTC 3300. The thing is it has a portuguese ROM and I would like to install a English ROM. It is CID/Network locked and i tried flashing it via the SD method but with out results.
When I do the bootloader sequence I get a white screen saying checking SD contents and then it goes straight to the 3 colored screen not showing me the screen that is in the wiki site. Can anyone help me with this beginners problem.

if is cid locked dont try 2 flash,U'll only brick ur device.buy unlock code from imei-check its worth it

Thanks. I did just that. It was quick and easy. And I've already flashed my device with the original HTC ROM. But I don't like it that much. Do you have any suggestion on which one to flash. I don't want any useless programs and the gps programs to be intalled. I got my own gsp prog that I want to use.

Didn't I read somewhere that Dopod will lock the pda again? Could you clear this for me.

has any one got the solution to that...? a have O2 Orbit that boots only to the HTC logo with the ROM version...IPL.....and SPL I`v tried to flash from the memory card but it does exactly the same as above. Can someone give a solution coz I`v tried with a working "Artemis" (i don`t know if it is CID/locked) but it is a working device,and the result is exactly the same,it shows "checking SD contents" and goes to the colored boot screen.

You tried to Formatting in FAT32?Please did it before.

Yes I did...same thing...maybe we are missing some kind a file,to tell the Arteimg.nbh to start loading.....

you will not be able to flash from sd card.
to flash from sd card you need a specific service card. when this card is inserted, you can flash from the card.
with uspl, flashing from sd card is not supported.

Not true, i succesfully flashed several times o2 wm6ship. ROM thru SD(ordinary 2GB, not even cleaned-only ARTEIMG.nbh in root). But it must be original operators ROM. Cannot be cooked rom or from diff. operator.

you right, except original rom for device. meaning correct model id and cid.

Bricked, all RUUs report ERROR[300].

My HTC3300 was dead, only can load into Three-color Mode with USB avaliable. I tried all kind of RUUs, including the Original ROMs(English, French, Deustch....)and the newest version , all report ERROR[300]invalid update tool. then the screen of phone stayed in 0% and RUU tool exit only...

SPL 1.11.0000 (used the USPL to unlock CID before)
Before Bricked, I successfully updated many versions of ROM, and the last operation is WM6.1.
And I tried MTTY tool, when I tried the command 'DOCTEST', but failed...
Cmd>doctest
Binary partition read/write test, offset=0x0, length=0x400000
Test pattern =0xAA
Flash Binary partition failed.
DOC binary partition read/write test FAILED Cmd
Can anyone help me out? what's happened on my HTC3300?

i think SD card flashing might work not so sure abt it
just put the nbh ROM in root of sd card n enter bootloader

yeah, I've tried many times the SD card flashing, the screen displayed 'Checking SD contents' , then loaded into the Three-color mode.
I've formated the sd to FAT32 already.
btw, thanks to you!

do u see the counter on the bottom left of the screen???
u hav to press volume slider before it comes to zero
if u wait it will return to tri colour screen

yeah, I'm sure there is no counter on the screen.....

Brother, we are in the same boat :-(
My Artemis is also having the same problem.
Below is the output of doctest...

By the way have you resolved it by now? Is there any way to flash the DOC area using mtty?

Ofcourse, tried almost exerything, except hammering it.
But any way, sent the device to service center, let's see what they'll reply! I dont think it will be covered in the Warranty

Yes, tried SD Flashing, tried flashing using RUU in BootLoader mode, nothing worked. Also tried checking the device condition using mtty too! but I get a CMD55 Failed error!!!

try to re-download everything using a different browser. My USPL and ROM downloads somehow got mungled with Firefox, once downloaded with IE they flashed fine.

I believe the CID area is corrupt, coz using mtty, I get CMD55 Failed! even a doctest is failing!

Brother, there is no fix for this! no one on this forum knows **** about this problem. Everyone tries to help but there is no one who realizes the actual problem and knows a fix to this.
I finally sent my device to HTC Service Center and they replaced the motherboard. Luckily, my handset was in warranty! I should be receiving my Artemis in a couple of days.
I suggest, even you do check out your nearest SC.
That is the only fix, I know of!!!

issue with arto rom!

Help what happened to arto's rom my rom seems to be unable to boot at the start .... help any solutions ?

Omg!!!! chill dude is not arto's fault your device fails to boot, besides flashing a rom always has its risk, although thats 1 in a million chance, just flash any OEM rom and then reflash artos rom that "should" make your device bootable, i guess you messed up your bootloader, by switching mbn's around...

i encounter that before. nothing serious to me tho.
its either your MicroSD card corrupted or the last installed apps make it. worst. you can do a HARD reset by pressing "+" and "-" with reset button until u see "clean boot" appear on screen.

there's many apps out there which claims can recover media card storage if its corrupted. but you have to try it out yourself one by one. nothing i can recall is 100% proven to recover.
but again. can you use a card reader to access your card? if can just copy those that you want to a safer place and format your card again.

Can i only format the phone or do I also format the sd?

Get a RUU from www.shipped-roms.com. Click the Android picture and then select Click. Then download the RUU that matches ur region. Connect ur phone and run the RUU application. Remember to keep a goldcard inserted in the phone while flashing it.

So i can't format phone from Settings->SD card and phone memory->restore to factory?

I have the original stock rom rooted. not a custom rom installed, but i must use goldcard and flashing a new rom to restore to factory????

You can do it from settings -> SD Card & Phone Storage -> Factory reset
