Here's the flash menu ported from Samsung i718, Its very cool & working nice on my touch.

i dono yet. found this over at Ipmart yesterday though. I tossed it on my touch and my brothers mogul and its sweet. Even my mom was able to navigate WM6 once we showed her this. I'm sure someone will find out how to edit it real soon. Possible skins anyone???

I've read a few sites on this phone now and the opinion varies a bit. One place I found that was good for expert reviews and real life opinion on the Samsung SGH I718 even had a few photos and the like which i found helpful. Hope that helps others that landed here doing their own research:->

Audio recognition 100% WORKING NOW WITH TOUCH SCREEN ENABLED

Hi guys i know that iphone has a application on their phone called Audio recognition.
The way this works is that if you hear a song you like, you select a particular software in the iphone and what it does is that it records the first 5 seconds of the song and it sends that sample to some database and then reports back to you with the name of the song and who sings it, now i know i have been in a situation where i have heard a song and liked it but cant remember or know the name of it.
Is their away to implement this into a HTC diamond, like has someone tried making this happen?

hahaha, funny I just came across that when my friend was demonstrating his iPhone... would love to know if there's a similar WM app...

Hopefully someone will make one to work properly on the windows mobile operating system, anyone know where i can get this from as the one mentioned above works but isnt 100% visible on the screen

Also using MusicID, and when I demoed it a year ago to my friends they were astonished. I also find it better than iPhone app. MusicID needs VGA support, which it lacks as of now, so it fits better our Diamond phones.

surely it cant be that hard to create, like if people on here can create custom ROM's then surely someone can have a crack at this? we got any takers?

You won't be seeing it in the program list. You have to start it using Explorer.

this is awsome, works like a charm, thanks for that, but i have another idea if anyone can make it possible i would like to have another feature in this application. it would be great if the app can make a tag from the radio and record a sample without checking the ID, later time you can check ID when you are conected to wifi or activesync, this could save some money on data connection. but it is only my sugestion, thanks anyway.

or you can just use total commander and make a shortcut to it in ur programs list

I've got an icon right at the top of my list. It installed and placed it in the usual Programs menu and TF. Shouldn't be any need to make a shortcut?

hey guys im still kind of new to this stuff. but right now i have windows 6.1 on my wing and its nice. but i seen a video on youtube with a wing that had 6.1 pro and it was AWESOME so i would like to know is there anywhere i can go and get that? oh yea and by chance can i ever downgrade back to the reg windows that came with the phone? and if i can do i just go to tmobile.com/wmupgrade ans starr from there?

What you have is already a PRO version as it is meant for all touch screen pocket pc device. Maybe you saw a different GUI effects which may be like TouchFLO 2D or so. If you can give a link to the YouTube video, we shall give you the suggestions.

That is not a "version" of or an iphone theme. It's just a ROM that has a lot of things put together to look like that. Looks like they have the old HTCHome with a skin on it, a Windows Mobile skin and S2U2 with a skin. It looks like an older ROM, actually, but I like the red theming. I don't know what ROM it is exactly, though. Oh, and that menu system is a somewhat buggy software... I forgot what it's called. It's hacked from an italian phone, I believe...

I do also Ivan ,thanks for that non useful paragraph. but can ANYBODY ELSE HELP ME????? im trying to see if i can get wm 6.1 pro or is that not released or something? as far for the themes when i download then and save them they never show up under my themes. could it be that im doing it wrong? i have aserg 6.1? do this ROM not let me use other themes?

1. You're rude.
2. It is not WM6.1Pro. Did you at all read what I wrote? 6.1 was never officially released for this phone, we (yes, I and others) ported it to this phone.
3. If you're not seeing them, you ARE doing it wrong.
Seriously, dude. I take my time to try to help some and you try to bite at the hand that feeds you. I could have done what everyone else does and said, " Search, noob!" Because truthfully, the answers ARE there if you bothered searching for the right things.
I even TOLD you what programs are being used, btw. That's about as much help as you could ask for.
It's not a THEME only, it's a SERIES of program. Let's quote me:

Now, if you searched for HTCHome you'd get the program called: HTCHome. If you searched S2U2, you'd get the program called: S2U2.

Pimp my Phone (100d reward)

I like the phone, but i think it really needs some adjustements.
what im looking for is:
-a way to change the background while using tf3
-a way to change the icons on the top bar (as ive seen in some pics)
-a way to change stuff on the today screen
-any app that improves how the phone looks/feels
if someone could help me out either with a very easy guide or link i would appriciate it, but keep in mind that ive tried sick many hours and failed. so its gotta be easy..

hang on here a minute. can you explain this a bit more clearly.
1. background, are you wanting to change just the first tab or all tabs?
2. Topbar, Are you wanting 1 already made or to do this yourself? for already made just visit the themes and apps forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=474 but i would recommend this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520132. 3. The today screen is easy just go in to the today settings!!
4. Look and feel, HD Tweak is very good and found that this does work to improve the feel. I would also recommend a custom ROM for the final touch. Dutty is the man to see for these as far as i'm concerned.

-I would like a background for all tabs.
-Want 1 already made, probably wont be able to make 1 myself.
-Is it that simple? like I was thinking about some drastic changes like removing the calendar thing. anyway its not as imprtant as background and the bar.
HD Tweak is the 1 app i currently have, im also very happy with it.
what is a custom ROM? and is it easy to install etc?

Calendar 'thing'....Settings, Customize Tabs, Un-check Calendar.....SIMPLE!!

Well its easy but you do need to do a few things, that may seem complicated, take your time with every step have a look at crackwhores guide the link is in my signature, there is plenty of help here so ask as many questions you want we are all happy to help
you can watch a video here that can help make sense of the written guide its not the best video guide but it may help I will search for more vids if possible

newbie questions.

Hi Guys,
Just got my new HD2 and wow, what a phone. I just retired a 3GS after about 12 month and wanted back to WM which I really missed. That said, the iPhone gave me some bad habbits that I need to break.
First thing I did was flash the HSPL ready for flashing some new roms but before I do that, I wanted to get used the WM again. My last was 6.5 on a kaiser so this is similar but different.
Anyway, couple of things. First is the Facebook app. On my iphone, when someone had posted XYX Name Likes the Group "WM 4 Me", the "WM 4 Me" portion was linked. I dont see that in the WM app. Am I missing something or is it that you cant just jump to that group? Any tips here.
Next thing is if anyone can recomend a good program to remote erase all data if I loose it or if there is anything out there to enrypt my sd card to make it useless without a password?
Last, is there a way to get the HD2 into landscape mode? I assumed it would be automatic but... Thats what I get for assuming.

remotetracker - brilliant, loads of options.

stock rom isnt landscapeable, some cooked roms are, but its never been released like that, it was a test rom that leaked with the landscaped tabs and the chefs cooked them in.

I'm running the stock ROM and it's correct there's no native landscape rotation built in, but I've been using the cab attached below, and it works great for putting sense and even WM apps (like file explorer!) into landscape when you physically rotate the phone. Just put the cab on your SD card, run it (install to phone), then soft-reset.

Sam, going to se if I can get hold of that remotetracker and give it a shot.
So far, happy with the stock rom so I might just tweak it a little bit. Would still like to figure this Facebook app out. Is it an actual app or a mobile webpage I'm looking at? Also need to find a new gps since my old favorite site (gpsunderground)seems to have shut down.
