Here's the flash menu ported from Samsung i718, Its very cool & working nice on my touch.
tHANKS!! I've got a couple of friends with i718's and always thought the menu was slick. Great job and thanks again!
very nice, well done working great on my hermes
So we must have flash player installed on our device prior using this application?
nope no flash player. it seems to be an actual app
Is that how you spell "Organiser"?
Also, is there a way to edit the programs targets in the registry or something?

i dono yet. found this over at Ipmart yesterday though. I tossed it on my touch and my brothers mogul and its sweet. Even my mom was able to navigate WM6 once we showed her this. I'm sure someone will find out how to edit it real soon. Possible skins anyone???
Nice find!
i find that the i718 or something like that, looks really a lot like the shadow,
maybe tmobile copied it
o, and by the way, nice find, but the launcher doesnt look like like the ones ive seen one the phone
I've read a few sites on this phone now and the opinion varies a bit. One place I found that was good for expert reviews and real life opinion on the Samsung SGH I718 even had a few photos and the like which i found helpful. Hope that helps others that landed here doing their own research:->
This is HEX-edit job not a regeistry job.
windows\launcher.exe can be HEX editet for customizing.

Hi
I know this project was put on hold, but does anyone have any contact details for the team behind it? I can't remember the company name.
Are kidding, right? You can't be that much of a noob, no one can. Have you even heard of google??
Type your query and the FIRST hit you get gives your answer.
Do that before creating useless threads.

Oh yeah, I've also emailed the current owner of the domain name in the hope he has the contact details for the previous owner.

It's not that hard to find it. I wish they used image files like .bmp or .jpg for the skins so we could at least reskin it to make it like the newer generation iPods.
I got it years ago, but there are a few things which could be improved: the skinning, setting a default music folder, D-Pad action button support, ... (all of this is of course my own personal wish list!)
Hope theres someone who knows a bit about how to do this stuff (and maybe more...)
Why not just apply this skin to WMPlayer? http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=14162

Because of 2 reasons.
1) It's ugly as hell.
2) It doesn't have the scroll wheel function like the actual program does.
pPod is still easy to find for download. I found it about a week ago.
I agree :-D
but a "real" options or settings page with a few more options to choose from would be great ( i wish i knew how to edit pPod :-D)
no source code still, I've been trying to start something from scratch but for the life of me I can't figure out how to play an mp3 on the mobile platform (first time programming mobile). It's embarrassing, can't even find any example source code that works.
Ok, if I were to try and duplicate/develope the iPhone's (sorry I hate saying that) web browsing/picture zoom feature and add that to a cooked rom for my Wing, where would I start? Or is there one already out and I missed it? I would want to run it on a Touch rom if that helps at all.
As far as I know, that's not available yet...
but check out the new TouchFlo that's coming out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LRbkHOllLA&eurl=http://msmobiles.com/news.php/6755.html
Whens this coming out?!? looks like exactly what i want!
No idea. Hopefully soon... so then someone here has to buy the phone, then extract the files ... so someone can put it into the roms... so I would say, it may be a while.
you know that in the pictureviewer, there is an option to zoom/crop and whatever? It may not be shiny, but it works.

Thanks Radical. But I have tried this, it doesn't give the option that we get in this viewer.. It's Photo contacts is very good and it's like Diamond one, but not the photo viewer. I am really looking for the one in the video.. It's really awesome, you can use the finger scrolling from the main screen to swipe thru the photos.
It is most likely that your device won't support it anyway... TouchFlo 3D is very graphics intensive...

Actually i did a test like that for pictures first, but it isnt very usable.
I think that feature in Daimond is just to show, not really to use regularly. I prefer the Camera album to view pictures because you can see all the photos in a list and then choose from one.
It can easily be done in flash but the finger motion effects have a problem with the current 'players', if you press the screen and dont release it for a second only, it pops up the "about flash" window.
Still, if you use simple buttons instead of finger motions, like I did for my flash contact list, all you need is a ouside program to list all the images in \storage card\my documents\my pictures (or whererver) to a xml or txt file, then the flash would read all the picture names as variables and present them in that kind of slideshow (or even better animations, like 3d cubes turning or fade-ins) . Do remenber that the 'photo turn 3d effect' would slow things down.
So, depending on the speed of the pocket pc model it would be slow, it isnt very slow on my dual because it has 400 mhz, but there are a lot of models out there with 200mhz...
Also, for some reason, the flash lite engine works faster but has more bugs reading images than the flash 7 engine. :/
And then it comes back to the today plugin, the only good current one is from the Throttle author but it only has one hardcoded size, he is doing a better one, and THAT one I cant wait for... it sounds as good as melted cheese!
That's exactly what I am looking at.

IT's wonderful work twolf, and that is exactly what I am looking at... Will it be possible to post a cab file of the one in the video.. So that I can test and use it on my phone.. I have seen your website and is pretty impressive.. Will it be possible to share the work that you have done here.. So that all of us can enjoy it..
Thats not dependant of me, just of the trotthle author, sorry, like I said I gave that to him.
But after he releases his new plugin, I'll be sure to make a lot of flash goodies for everyone, always releasing the sourcode, because, as I said, I'm a iilustrator, not a programmer, and Im sure others can do so much more.
thanks Twolf

Thanks Twolf.. I tried this before and I am trying the Tempus V13 now..It works perfect, but the till still skips by 1 sec every 2 secs and becomes very slow during skip.. And also takes lots of memory around 3-4 MB on my HTC Touch... Which is a lot for my phone.. . is there is a work going to reduce this... I can't wait !!! for Throttle author to release new version.. ..Tempting
Actually the skipping is good, it does skip sometimes but thats my way of making sure the time is always correct. Otherwise the minutes could change before the seconds reached 59.
The slowness is really because of the 200mhz of the touch, sorry...
As for memory, thats flash...
Maybe in the next version of throttle since the weather and clock are separated and in flash lite, they may become faster, time and tests will tell.
Thank you Twolf
Thanks Twolf.. This is a great application and I am currently trying Throttle launcher works great on my Touch.. Thanks for all you guys work.. Fantastic... Hope to see more from you.. thank you..
Finished my mPhone Panel today.
The idea was to make some sort of iPhone clone, but with in mind that it should be exactly how I would want to see a panel. So here's what I came up with. mPhone v1.3:
The mPhone (my name starts with a M and the (Warhol) banana is of course a spoof of the Apple icon ) features all the programs I use the most and I guess that goes for a lot of other Xperia users. The words below are in Dutch, but I can change that if there is enough enthousiasm to use this panel. I can also change some things if you guys give me some suggestions.
What doesn't work yet with mPhone Panel?
Well, for starters the panel can only be viewed in Portrait mode. If you go Landscape mode half of the icons will be gone.
Also, some shortcuts don't work yet. Perhaps someone can help me with that.
I need the pseudo-handlers to G-Alarm, moBlog and iContact (on the memorycard) and MSN chat, Notes and calculator (on the phone).
I'm curious what you think of it. When I fix the shortcus/pseudo-handlers I'll upload the .cab file here.
That looks good! nice one, good luck with the fixes
Wow a new panel for X1. I'll give it a try when it's done. When can you upload it?
I've never really been a fan of the iPhone main screen but this is the best pseudo clone I've seen yet. I'd be interested in trying it out for sure.
looks awsome gonna try that one for sure.
and its dutch awesome
Great looking panel..
Maybe I have given up on panels a little too early
nice work there...
Will you post it here when it is done? Looks good
looks great
Thanks for the kind words. Makes me even more driven to fix all the errors.
When I'll place the .cab file here, I'll leave out some typical Dutch icons, like the NOS (Dutch news provider) and the 'Uitzending Gemist' app (for Dutch TV programs).
You can always add your own icons once installed. The map is located at \Program Files\Panels\mPhone.
For now I'll keep building and finetuning. Please keep suggestions and ideas coming. I can add those to the panel.
it looks amazing
i cant wait
well done
why not posting an international and a dutch version? There are many dutchies here who like to have NOS and Uitzending gemist!
Keep up the good work. Goed bezig!
Why are all so want? What's good for the similarity with the iPhone?
Where is the individuality?
i agree with yellowjaap since i too am from the netherlands! Those icons could come in really handy

the individuality is having the xperia.
having this panel just lets iphone users know that our phone can do the same things as your phone(besides all the apps) and more.

Yes, maybe
I think having the choose makes the individuality. We as Xperia users can decide what kind of control we have. One day its iPhone, the next SPB, then touchflow or just the standard SE panels.
And best of all, we can make all iPhone users jealouse because we can do the same as them, and so much more haha!
BTW, Have you looked into iFonz while making your work? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369241
Can we add our own programs?

The "OMG, I can't believe this actually worked on my T-Mobile USA HD2!" Discussion.
So, quite recently on Twitter, I've been informing my followers of things I've tried, managed to accomplish, and/or various ideas on tweaks that I'd like to attempt in the future.
Now, with that in mind...
I'd like to present this thread as an open-discussion topic, to further the common knowledge of everyday users and "1337 h4xz0Rz" alike.
Please, feel free to share a "success story" of something you've managed to make possible on your HD2. Whether it be a registry tweak, theme, custom ROM, or various modifications... be sure to offer as much detailed information as you can, allowing other users to perhaps share in the same experiences.
More-or-less, this is where TESTS, TRIAL-RUNS, and COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS will meet in terms of what CAN and simply CANNOT be done... SAFELY on our devices.
hmm well it wasn't very "1337" but I was pretty happy that I could edit the registry to make TouchTwit blink the LED when I get mentions/msgs.

1) Open registry editor
2) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications
3) There will be a lot of GUID entry folders. Find the one that corresponds to the notification you want to alter. When you open the folder, the (Default) value, if set, is the name of the notification that corresponds to the control panel value.
4) Change AvailableOptions from 11 to 15
5) Hit start->settings->Sounds & Notifications->Notifcations
6) Scroll to the notification type you just changed (for me, "TouchTwit: Mentions")
7) The box "flash light for [x]" will no longer be greyed out
Great find. Definitely worth mentioning. This is the kind of stuff we need on here. Thanks for the submission.
reignzone- I would like to know if it is possible to increase the vibe alert intensity on the TmoUS HD2? I did a search and was not able to find anything. I switched from a Razr V3 which had a strong vibe alert. Also, I successfully flashed to HSPL2 and just waiting for a stock rom to flash new rom. Thanks
Can anyone walk me through dumping my stock TmoUS rom so I can post it here which will provide everyone a way to revert to shipped rom?

Well, in terms of vibration intensity... that is usually application specific. The system vibration alerts cannot really be tampered with as far as I know. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. There are applications, "modded" applications that provide various system tweaks that can alter the vibration... but not too many of them are focused on something so "simple" as vibrating alerts.
As for a system dump, that would be excellent. Post in a few other threads in this area, and I'm sure you'll find people that would be glad to assist you in providing that for us all.

Good stuff guys. Again, thanks for additional feedback.
As for Dusk, yes... I've taken quite a few bits and pieces from that theme and used it on my STOCK build. For instance, the retractable slider themed with Dusk features.
I'm so glad we're finally moving this T-Mobile USA forum along now, it needs more attention from the EURO threads.

I don't mean to toot my own horn here, but I just installed and tested quite literally, every transparent home tab slider from the guys at PPCMods.
And needless to say, each one of them worked, flawlessly. Also, they all look just gorgeous. But after testing "the look" of most all of them... I fell in love with the Colorful Stickers icons. Simple, HUGE, and great design.
Finally, the clock fonts are phenomenal as well... check those out too.
