sadly this is the part PDA lacking in terms of basic phone function. Do take a look at "spb phone suite". Its my fav profiler for wm5
well i found O2 thingi and now its working well.
people here at this place are doing one heck of a good job.

Do take note of the performance and batt life. Heard lots of issue with it. personally i prefer spb phone suite. Try it, u will prefer it to the o2 plus

I really needed a battery plug-in for my compact and really didn't want to buy one, so I extracted the install.arm from my XDA IIs, badly and unprofessionally hacked it, and then produced this file, which actually installed and worked fine, however I have no idea what else it changed as yet, so consider using at your own risk!!
Would be great if someone could improve upon this!
Will have to try it. Good work.
there is an extROM from O2 xda mini (GER) on ftp, i just installed it a few days ago. the battery plugin is included, works fine.
where can I download it?
I can't find it here: ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Magician/Extended_Roms/
Yeah I made the hack cus I couldn't find it either, but to be honest I didn't look very hard, and also because I am not on O2 but on T-Mobile, and I didn't want a load of O2 customizations. Hacking it seemed like a better way to limit my risk. Just my 2 cents, whatever works for you.
Try it and working nicely

Wow, sorry I haven't used it, but it sounds fantastic!! I'll be interested in seeing what others think too.
Cheers Mark.
Steve.
I used a very similar thing on my old SPV C600 Smartphone and it was brilliant..
Feedback welcome...

Does anyone know when a WM5 version of this will be released or if there is another program similar?
Try PhoneAlarm .. it has profiles .. but donno if it can switch them dynamically based on the location ...
Here is a link to another version but it says its not fully compatible with all PDA's. Anyone used it on a PDA?

cell-profiler is pretty poor imo, the full version of phonealarm does let you switch profiles based on cell id. Ive been using it for weeks.....great app!!
Its the app i was looking for because i used to use Magic-Profiles pro on my P900 which did the same thing.

The thing I don't like about phonealarm is the look and feel, it looks like the home page is going to be really busy and I also used SPB Diary so would it clash with this?
Has anyone used PPCProfiles for switching on a scheduled basis? If so how did this compare to phonealarm?
Thanks
Mark
Dear All,
I believe everyone know what does the O2 phone plus can do. It allow you to Edit the number before dial.
I have try to install it on the Hermes, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
I have attached the phoneplus CAB file with this thread. Is there anyone who can hack this CAB and let all of the HTC users to use this feature?
Many Thanks!

Check my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296573
The file to download is there on my post at the bottom I love it because you can customise your today screen for ease of use, see the picture. Let me know what you think.

Thanks and your today screen looks great too. I am using SPB pocket plus to do the similiar layout.
But O2 plus and O2 phone plus is not really the same. O2 phone plus is simaliar to the Smartdialing that we have on HTC. The only thing which made it even better is that you can click on the number and edit it, like putting prefix.
I know software like MyPrefix could do similiar things but the O2 phone plus make things alot simply.
not to threat crap, but i like these Ò2 apps

Hi Boz,
Any update on this cab? Can you get it working with WM6 for Hermes?
Any of you fine individuals know of any good bluejacking software?
I've tried a few but they all seem to have problems working with my Trinity, unfortunately.
use bluezard
http://www.wm-soft.com/products/bluezard
worth to buy it
... this looks good. I'm waiting to see more comments on it before I buy it.

Thanks for the post and the info
well i didn t find equivalent appz than bluezard, the first and only prog that i ve bought in my life
nocomp, I see that you like to support good software development by buying software you like. This is the only software ever that you like? Or maybe you couldn't find it elsewhere?
Hey we all have bad habits - I fart in bed - but I don't go shouting about it. ...DOH! - I just did.
hahahaha,
well , the guy that dev it is always present for help you, the prog works like a charm, and it s very very cheap, so no regrets to have bought it
if it was 100$ i would of live without it
Did you take a look at:
- BTCrawler
- Sniper
Might be worth a look
hi,
yep i know these
check that:
http://www.wm-soft.com/article/the-real-bluejack-features-comparison
Hi,
That Bluezard software look BRILLIANT!, works fast and cool features......But....
a few years ago i brought Sniper and only used it on my Universal (M5000).
So i have tried to install it on my M700 and all went wrong. I kept getting errors saying "No device found" even if i knew there were devices on around me.
If anyone else is using WM6 and getting this trouble, there is a fix for this if you search there support forum.
This is the fix:
just install the netcf.all.wce4.ARMV4.cab file to your device (not SD card) and then run the software again, and all should be working
Note: to get Sniper to manage all bluetooth functions (like storage area for recieved files etc) you MUST uncheck the 'Accept all beams' in comm manager.
Hope this helps people out there to save time to get bluejacking!
has anyone tested the full versions of Sniper and also Bluezard to give me a comparison? which has the best features etc?
From what i saw from the demo of Bluezard, i would say this is the better but i dont know
Thank you for anyones time in advance
Is there any such scanner working with Widcomm BT stack? Tools mentioned above uses only MS BT stack
Thread moved to Trinity general!
Hi you al, long time no see.
I recently changed phones from a HTC TYTN to the HTC Touch HD.
The TYTN did connect to my car BT (PHONE) with no problem at all. I don't need it for navigation because I have onboard navigation.
The new HD doesn't find the car's BT no matter what I do. I checked with my dealer and he told me that's because the car doesn't support this A2DP protocol...?
Is there no way to get around this problem?
I tried the Search button but most problems are about limited connection and possibilities but no relevant info about not connecting at all.
Any help would be great.
Greetings from Belgium
Anyone here with an idea..?
I've had no problem with my BT at all....well I did but that was because I'd forgotten to make my device discoverable...d'oh
Might help if you say what car
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\SYS\COD
Change COD to: 5374476 (decimal) and soft restart phone.
Try this and don`t lose your old COD number if this patch doesn`t help.
Thanks Guys.
The car is an Audi A6 build 11/2007 with MMI + NAV, phone and voice dailing.
As I said, my TYTN paired with no problem at all.
I tried everything and even paired the Touch HD with other devices which worked perfectly.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\SY S\COD
I sure would like to try this, but I'm not sure if I know how and were to find this...
Could you tell me this in a few words?
Thanks again.
Greetings from Belgium
Check if there are any other bluetooth devices added to your car - if they are then remove them and retry pairing them both.
Your HD should see the cars bluetooth and then go through the wizard to set up the connecton.
I had a similar issue on my BMW - this was the only way I got them to connect.

Use your registry editor application. Most roms come with one called RegEdit
Open it and use it like a file explorer and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\SYS\COD
@ arifhanid, Did that too, I removed all paired devices and tried again with no succes.
@ Fallen Spartan, I searched my HTC from top to bottom but I can't find a RegEdit program or something similar. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place... I'm not that familiar with going into the system altough, once I managed to change a German XDA II to English but that's a while ago...
If you could give me an extra tip or so? By the way, it's an HTC witch Dutch OS.
Anyway, thanks for the reply.

All roms are differently and maybe yours doesn't come with a regedit though you can get free ones easily enough if you do a quick search in Themes, Applications and Software forum
Before you do that check to see if you have a standard registry editor by using your file explorer and navigating to /windows and search for a file called RegEdit.lnk This is you registry editor. Open this file to use. If you want this to appear on your programs list create a shortcut for this file and save it into /windows/Start Menu
Now if you go back into programs it will appear on your list
Nope, no RegEdit found in the (very) long windows list.
I guess I'll have to go and check the Themes, Applications and Software forum.
So, there I have look for a program named RegEdit and install it on my device.
Then I have to change that COD as FileFixer told me.
I'll try that.
Thanks.
