Charging Problem with QTek S100 - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Hi,
i have a QTek S100. Since a while it says always that it is charging the battery even when it is not attached to the powercable. I changed now the battery because i thought the battery is broken but it wasn'nt. Has somebody a idea what I can do?
When in the charging status the battery holds only for 6 hours, because its not going in standby mode...
Please i hope someone of you know how to fix that. I love my S100 but its so annoying, to recharge it all the time...
Thanks!!!

Have you tried a hard reset?
how to do it: Press simultaneously for 1 sec, the power button and the reset hole.
(note: You will loose all your files/contacts/sms/programs, etc - Do a phone backup 1st)
Regards,
Keeper

Have you removed battery. :?: What color light if any is illuminated when in charger. Also check the switch that locks the battery into place at base of battery.
U already know my problem, cruisin u're great
My battery charge was RED :?
I changed battery and Cradle at shop were I bought it last week,
now it's all OK
but, how hell it depends ? battery sucks ? or something else ?
It LIVES AGAIN
Batteries do fail sometimes, most modern batteries have a chip onboard and this sometimes burns out too. Just bad luck I think.
but how do u know about Red Colour of Charge ?
Have u some experience about it ? Have u read somewhere ?

PLEASE HELP! Ever seen something like this on Himalaya??????

Hi! I have a Qtek 2020 with the 2003 SE, and it all worked well until one day i plug the PDA to one PC with the USB cable, and puff! The PC resets, my Qtek hard-resets, and suddenly when it turns on i notice the green LED is always ON! Like it was constantly plug to a pc/charging or activesync!!! It consumes the battery in 2/3 hours, and the backup power also! Even when i lose all power, when i put it charging it hard resets everytime! Can anything be done in this case? what can i do? PLEASE HELP!
Thanks!

O2 XDA Mini won't power on

Hi All,
Got a problem with a Mini. The unit will not power on. It doesn't appear to charge either. When I remove the battery, and re-insert, I hear a "click" noise but nothing after that.
The LED does not light when power is connected.
It does not hard reset.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Sonny
Update
Ok, here's an update to the above post.
When the battery is inserted and the back cover is off, the LED on the top glows red. When the back cover is put on, the LED turns off.
The unit will not work from external power with or without the battery installed.
Does this help?
SF
Must be someone out there that can help?
got the same problem...
see if you can try another battery, mine does not power on without the battery in anymore. The back cover must be on before you can power it on and the red light means that it is charging but there is not enough charge to turn on.
same prob. here...
i am surfing on the net of my XDA when it shutdown i thought it was a battery problem so i try to charged it but i've noticed that it didn't opened for a couple of hours of charging. i tried to reset but it didn't work. so i decide to hard reset my phone but again it did'nt work, and now my XDA II mini WM 6.1 is totally dead.... i also tried to flash my phone but the activesync of my phone cant detect my PC, and even rebooting my phone also did'nt work.
i've also notice that everytime i charge and unplug the charger of my phone the redlight blink on the "led?"(correct me if i'm wrong) for a seconds...
Same here. My phone is dead when I'm trying to flash it. Now it's totally dead. Is there a way to fix this?

you try a hard reset by pressing the camera button and soft reset power simultaneously

[HELP] My atom went dead after losing the batterry for 2 days

Hi guys,
I really need help for this. My XDA ATOM (not the exec type) is currently dead when I forgot to charge the battery when I'am on trip to somewhere far from electricity.. I have tried to charge the battery over and over again but every time i push the "ON" button the screen just goes blank. The only thing happen when I push the "ON" button is that the lights in the "call" and "put call" buttons goes blipping. Nothing else.
I have tried soft reset, hard reset and take the battery out for a while and put it back. But nothing seems to work.
Any help or suggestion would be very much appreciated..
you have to charge with desktop charger.
Atom won't detect the present of battery, if battery voltage below 3V. So you can't charge when inside atom.
Put in in desktop charger, when charged put it back and recharge inside your atom.

the death of a qtek 9090

Hi! i've bought an used Qtek 9090. the problem is that this Qtek don't power on! it doesn't go on bootloader mode, doesn't go on hard reset ecc... but when i charge it, the red led turns on!
what can i do? please help me
well try to charge the battery only in the cradle
if this not help try to borrow working battery from someone, if your device does not start even with working battery then you are screwed (a hardware problem of some kind)
no i think the battery is ok.
there is a way to restore the bootloader? i've read about the jtag, but i don't know anything... can you explain?
Battery is charging only when the LED is orange/amber. Red means problems with charging - that's why xplode proposed putting the baterry directly in the cradle, as it can "fix" the battery.
Well the red light means there is problem, the most comon problem is the battery, but the red light is also shown with motherboard, bootloader, kernel, and other problems
one more option is there. if the battery is not charged from a long time it needs a shock before recharging to activate the electrons. u should apply some 12v at 1 or 1.5 amp for 15-30 sec. than battery will get a little charge which is sufficient to turn on the phone once.................... but do not apply this voltage regularly or for long time.
