I have an XDA II from O2, ROM 1.72.00WWE, Radio 1.17.00, Pocket PC 4.20.0, built 14053 and I have the following issue:
When I got an SMS or a missed call, the red LED does not blink. How to solve it?

have you checked that it's enabled in sounds and notifications ?
I checked In Setting

Where u checked in "setting" ?
Start -> Setting -> Notification -> 1. Select an event "Phone: Missed Call"
u check in Flash Light for ....
Start -> Setting -> Notification -> 1. Select an event "Inbox: New SMS Message"
u check in flash light for ....

usually i get red light flashing for a while when i get a delivery notification ,
but i want it to flash when getting sms , and stop flashing after i read the sms

have you checked sound¬ifications -> notifications | event
There is nothing about leds in that section
if you chose under event dropbox lets say
Messaging: new text message then you can chose an option flash light for x minutes
I believed that option is no longer available if you are on stock rom (WM6.5)...only on custom ROM are the options still avail...

Ok did not know that
In vibration mode, when i recieve sms my Defy doesn't vibrate
i found Messaging App --> Menu Key --> Settings --> Vibrate (Under the Notification Settings) and checked it but it keeps unchecking by itself....
what should I do?
I'm using 24.02 ICS
If you wan't vibration with sms'es you must check it in the sms app itselve.
Go to the sms app where all the threats are, press menu > setting > notifications
If I have a missed call or unread text the LED notification light doesn't light up.
If I go settings -> display -> LED indicator -> notifications all options are ticked.
Is there another setting I'm missing ?
The LED does light up if I reboot the phone, so I think the hardware is okay.
