Hi guys, I'm doing some walking in th UK and wondered if there is a freeware program I can download to my Trinity that will enable me to obtain a grid reference which i can use to check against my Ordnance Survey maps.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Dan.

Hi everyone,
I am looking for an application on PPC2003 to read
Garmin maps (IMG format).
Reason is that I have NOT go onto the GPS bandwagon yet
but I noticed a lot of Free garmin maps on the net.
This maps will come in handy even though I don't have GPS.
So if anyone knows of such an application, please let me know.
Alternatively, anyone knows what is the best alternative
to get free maps and free map readers (NON GPS)?

Please feel free to take a look at these at www.hjgode.de/dev and www.hjgode.de/dev/iLock

PS Any chance of being approved for your yahoo group?
Hi all.
I'm looking for a GPS program with will show me things like OS grid references and other datums, as well as displaying my position on a map, and use a bluetooth gps reciever on my M5000.
Has anyone got any recommendations? If the software has a demo period that'd be even better!
Any recommendations gratefully recieved.
You can try memory map.
You can use OS maps and it will show your position on the map.
There is a demo but I think it only lets you use a certain map.
Hope that helps
Pete
I am eagerly waiting for a navigatable version of Google Earth, or even better, the hybrid Google Maps.

Is this coming out? If so, do you have any idea when? Cheers.
Yes,
try OziExplorer
There is a test version.
You can import your own raster image maps
Calibration tool is as well available.
Using it since years now on different PDAs.
Look here: http://www.oziexplorer.com the CE Version is it
Works fine with Bluetooth GPS on my MDA Pro
Thanks all for the advice, I shall have a look at the suggested ideas.
Hi Guys, Ii am sure I have read all I can find about this so I thought I'd post something!
The manual (and posts here) say that the TomTom program is to be found on the applications cd found with my Ameo - but on it are GPRS monitor, Sprite backup, Sprite backup windows setup and the manuals and virus protection... no sign of TomTom at all!
HHEEEELLLPP please - i tried google maps and its great - but TomTom is what i want then i can get rid of my sat nav unit!
Thanks in advance - Adam
TomTom doesn't come with the Ameo (You can of course buy it). I've heard from jmdrizen that T-Mobile have started shipping the Ameo with Copilot. See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303789&highlight=copilot

Advantage only package...

Hi, im still new to the whole GPS in the xperia.
i understand that theres a chip inside the xperia that allows the detection of satellite.
Now ive been looking for a GPS application that supports USA road map.
i have download ttn7.915.9196.vga_black (tomtom7) but found out in the official site that it does not have US maps.
Does anyone else know other brand of GPS apps that supports xperia and also allow downloading(purchasing) of US maps?
Thanks alot. Your help is greatly appreciated.
NOTE: Does the xperia support tom tom navigator 6???? if so does anyone have the link for ttn6 or any search keyterms?

I use iGo8 (X1 support TMC now!) and IG4 most of the time
Is there a cab for the Ig8 or ,as i see on the site, buy the SD card that contains the map?
I'm using TTN 6.x on my x1. i have to set it up so that first i use wvgafix3 to adjust my devices resolution, then launch ttn. i got it used of ebay for 30 bucks, and i am generally pleased with it.
