I have read about the software solution to use the FM Radio without Headset
"You must change a value in the Registry under:
HKLM/System/State/Hardware/ and now you must chance the Headset value to 1."

I've tried to find this key on my WM6 device but there is only earpieces set to 0.
This key when i plug the keep setted to 0.
If I tried to set Speaker key to 1 with radio "on", and earpieces plugged, its showned the notify message for speaker enabled, but i can hear only through the earpieces... It's strange.... Any suggest?
My device has built-in radio and doesn't need earpieces aerial...

before you ask...NO, my phone isn't set to "off" for audio alerts. haha
on a more serious note, I just tried switching the MS BT stack for the widcomm one using the instructions here
http://buzzdev.net/index.php?option...view&id=6671&catid=26&limit=15&limitstart=105
only installed the cab and reg file on page 1. After I soft reset, my XDA volume stays set to 0. Regardless of what I move the slider to, it always reverts back to 0.
I've tried to use the wired handsfree kit...no sound.
tried uninstalling the widcomm stack...no sound
tried re-installing the stack...no freakin sound!!!
I think the stack is set to route all sound to a BT headset. no idea how this could have happened since I haven't configged anything or even paired a headset.
Any regkeys that can be edited to re-route sound from BTHFree back to speaker?
Hello, Anybody succeded in activating voice command by pushing on the standard talk button of the QTEK headset? i understand there is a solution for bluetooth devices, but i tried with the standard headset and apparently it doesn't work...i am using the fantastic 2.8 ROM....
i am also intresseted to do that.
Did anyone found a solution?
It seems that the standard "Talk" button on Qtek's headset is only good for picking up incomming calls. It is not similar to voice button on the device. I've desperatly searched for registry keys to change that.
Did anyone have any luck?
Thanks,
Rostylsav
This didn't work for me, but it's easy to roll back. Pasted from Howard Forum.

Now you should be able to activate Micrsoft Voice Command by pressing the connect button on your bluetooth headset. My Scala headset beeps twice when it's ready for the Voice Command. My husbands Motorola headset beeps once when it's ready for the Voice Command.
Then you can also enable your bluetooth headset to receive music and other sound from your MDA by running the tweak "Enable Bluetooth Receive" using the Registry Wizard Program.
@glee719: This paste you did is about using Bluetooth headset for voice-dial.
The question is about the standard headset that goes with the Wizard . . . .
afaik the push-button on the headset works similar to the 'hook' buttons (green & red). Those do not trigger voicecommand either . . . .

Sorry to tell, it is not working for me, if i create a shortcut with "\Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe", and click on it, the voice command will lunch, however, putting the path in the reg, soft reset, press on buletooth handset doesn't work, any idea ?
By the way, how can we Set the microphone gain on the Wizard ? and how can we set the voice command to talk more and more louder ???
Yeah i'm interested to know how to make full use of the given headset, as i use it to listen to mp3 alot. The 'talk' button looks useless other than answering calls, unlike the w800i headset.
@rookery, this is NOT about the BT headset to activate VoiceCommand
Oh Sorry, did you mean the 2.5mm handfree, I don't have it in hand, does it work by the changing the reg key ???
hi to All,
useless to say i already tried the registry change for BT, and it didn't work for the STANDARD headset that is connected through the 2.5 mm jack. maybe, it is simply not possible.....
Is there a key for Talk button in the registry?
Does anyone know if there is a key for "Talk" button function in the registry?
We know there is one for BT headsets, but what about the conventional headset which comes with the device?
Anyone figure this out yet????????
Thanks
I just cannot believe my ears. I have used my Qtek S200 with a SonyEricsson stereo BT headset for months with great results (some occasional drops but very seldom). Today I bought a P3600, paired the headset and guess what? A2DP output is not stereo. I couldn't be more upset!

Hi, do you have any problems with SonyEricsson BT stereo headset? I mean, if you listen to music with player and there is coming a phone call. Does it change from music to phone and automaticaly back to phone?
I have bought a new SE hbh-ds970 and have a few problems with that point. Mostly I have (to listen to music again) to warmstart my P3600.
Any ideas?

I haven't tried yet with the P3600 but answering calls and resuming music used to work with the Qtek S200 and the SE HBH-DS970. I will try and let you know.
One thing I found with my old setup was that when resuming music sometimes the headset volume would be set to 0 and I had to turn up the volume.
----------
PS: I have tried a couple of times now and it seems to be working. It takes a few seconds for the music to resume but it does. I think the trick is to end the call using the headset button, not the phone button.
not only in 3600!!
It looks to be a Mobile 5 feature. I found same reg key in same state pn Eten Glofiish X500. after applying change, x500 also started stereo. I am using SE stereo BT headset and it works for stereo..
May be this is disabled because it may result in bad quality on mono headsets..

ok, thanky you - I will have a try again ... we will see. Did you managed with the in build pocket player?
Yes I am using the inbuilt windows media player.
I've been checkin' some things in the registry too... and i've found that "Quality" is set to '30'. Somewhere on the Hermes wiki (i think), i've read that this is only medium quality. I saw this list with diffent quality-grades, with '48' mentioned for the 'good' quality.
Does anyone know if it can harm either the headset (Jabra 620s) or the Trinity, or can i safely set it to a higher quality level ?
I stand to be corrected, but the figure of 48 seems be referring to the 'bits-per-second' of an audio stream. Based on this assumption I do not think that any damage could be done.
Hi,
I search for joinstereo in registry but no result. Would you pls post the full path in registry?
Another problem I find with my iclip, I can listen to music. But when I use phone book to dial, it just give a continuous tone. If I dial by numnbers, it works. Any similiar problem for other BT stero headset.
My mono headset has no such problem.

That's correct, should have mentioned it clearer...
It's from the key "BitPool", which is set to 30. But there's also a key called "MaxSupportedBitPool" that's also set to 30.
My actual question would be; can it do any harm if a change the "MaxSupportedBitPool"-key into 48 as well ? Cause that might just be hardware related...

It's: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings\
Here you'll find the key "UseJointStereo"; set it to 0.

Cannot really say if any damage will be done, but then what damage can be done? You could take a full backup of the device and try changing the two registry settings you mentioned. At the most perhaps no sound will be heard, in which case you can restore the device from the backup taken.

Got it. Thanks.
Some users told me they have low volume on there bt car kit/ headset ,
I for myself didn’t have any problem with my scala-500 & my plantronics 340 headset
recently I got a headset that had very low volume with the ipaq 600
Anyway the solution was to regedit some settings
If anyone have such problem please test this solution and report here
(I wanted to know if it is a general solution or just for my headset )
Please backup your device before testing this solution
1) pair your device with the bt component (headset/car kit)
2) install regedit app like this
http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/
3)turn off bt , enter this location using the reg app
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\Speaker
edit the value of "OutputRenderMonoOnly "from "1" to "0"
4) Enter this location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Device\
Here you can see all the components you paired with your device
locate the "problematic" component (headset) by its name
like this
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Device\000d18a19326:
name
or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Device\000a9b1f5293 :name
the 000d18a19326 or 000a9b1f5293 is different from one component to the other
It is the name that is important
(the same name you see when you pair your component)
Lets say the "problematic" component name is "BTH" and it is in "000d18a19326" folder
now go
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Device\000d18a19326\Services\0000111e-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb:
Set the value of "channel" from what ever (1 or 2) to the value of 4
So now dword "channel" = 4
Save it all
exit the regedit
turn off device for 10 sec & sr your device
now test the bt component (during a call- not just the call beep)
don’t forget to test the headset before and after this test at full volume
you make a call and then during this call set the volume of the bt headset & device (ipaq 600 vol) to maximum
please let me know if it is a lot better now or the same
good luck
Same volume level before and after changes (Jabra BT8040).

Guys,
I've bought a Sony HBH-DS200 as a new headset for my Hermes. First impression: great! The headset sounds good, and AD2P works fine after installing the AD2Pfix for the Hermes.
But here is the problem:
The headset hasn't got a volume switch for phone calls, the volume had to be controlled from the Hermes. But when I try to change the volume with the volume bar on my Hermes, the volume on the headset won't change. And that's very anoying because the volume is too loud (and a little bit crapy).
When I'm listening music (AD2P) I can change the volume.
When I pair the headset with my Nokia I can control the volume and the sound for phonecalls is much brighter then on the Hermes.
Because I'm using CRC's ROM, I just reflashed my device to the orginal HTC ROM but the issue also persist with this rom.
Any ideas?
Note: I have also a Parrot CK3100 for my Hermes, I just checked: the same issue! But I never noticed it because the Parrot has a volume control.
Hi, i've the some problem with my plantronics free hands...
i can't control in-call sound with my bluetooth...
any idea?
I have tried the following (without any succes):
- adjusting the registry setting "spk volume" see this topic. I can make this setting but after resetting the device the dword is removed (and the volume isn't changed)
- Installed the Widcomm stack, after installing the ad2p signal is far too loud and the phonecalls aren't redirected to the headset
No solution yet, I will continue
im ot sure if this will help .... but i have the same HBH-DS200 a2dp headphones i had a slight annoyance with the sound being to low, on the head set hold the play button in when the set is turned on - turns the volume up on the headset! - hope this worked
I have the Plantronics 590's and can control the volume during a call from the headset. I am using CRC's 13.0 rom. I do not have the hermes A2DP fix on my phone and never have.
