I had the same problem, couldn't put mine in. I had to take out the battery in order to slide out the tray that holds the sim-card.

thanks for the reply i'll give that a go

Crashed!!!!
What is being displayed on the screen?
Are you able to use your XDA at all?
Will it still connect to your PC via ActiveSync?
the answer to all those questions is no....
no activesync
no using the xda
the only thing that is being displayed is the startup o2 sign and in the left hand bottom corner it says
g
r
s 31.85834 (or some number)
and then it goes to a blank white page.....
it keeps swapping back and forth from these two pages
thanks
jay
Are you able to get into the bootloader?
press and hold to on/off button while soft-resetting.
Do you have a SD card reader?
Also, where did you get the xda from, just incase!?!
im gonna try the bootloader thing....but what do i do if it works (im waiting for it to charge up abit before i do that) although i dont think it is charging
i dont have a sd card yet....
o2 online....i have insurance, i think (hope) they will change it....but im going away tommorow for 4 weeks....and im stuck without a phone...so i wanted to know if there was a way that i could reinstall it again...
thanks again york for your help
jay
hey yeah i can get to bootloader
wallaby bootloader v5.22
what do i do?
it siad there is a gsm erorr?
thanks
jay
Right, well it's a start, unfortunatly without an SD card reader there is nothing that I know that will fix this problem, as you cannot use Activesync without the os loading.
I've had a quick look around the forums but all related articles on fixes suggest the need for a card reader.
When you did the upgrade, did you remember to remove the power supply first?.
It seems that leaving the power supply attached while upgrading the radio causes an internal configuration error.
If no one else here can help with your problem, you will have to send it back to O2, they will replace it for new, however, if they do kick up a fuss, remind them of the Sale of Goods Act (Amendment) 2003.
Sorry, that's about as much as I can do mate. Good luck, and don't be but off the xda by this problem, I got mine of ebay and broke the screen within a week, had to fork out another £130 for a new screen, but I'm very glad I did.
ok thanks york......
i will give o2 a call.....
thanks

Great now press the Calender button, that should put you in the GSM
bootloader mode. From there run some of the options ect.., try changing your band to 900 and see if that helps also try turning the radio off as that might let your XDA bootup.
hi....i tried that and it kep saying....
gsm turn ON fail!!
any more ideas?
thanks

[Q] Microphone not working? (no sound)

Hi, I just stumbled upon an HD2 on Sunday. Very nice phone!
Unfortunately, it seems the microphone isn't working. I have no sound on video recordings and people can't hear me on phone calls unless I use a headset.
I checked it with a phone call when the phone was on stock WinMo and the issue is the same now after I've hacked it and put Typhoon_CM7 on it (nand).
Is there anything I can try to test if this is hardware related? Is it hard to replace the mic if that is necessary?
I searched the forums as well as google but didn't find anything that helped. I'd really like the phone to be fully functional so any help or suggestions are welcome.
TIA
You can assume with confidence that the issue is hardware related if the same thing happens regardless of what you flash or install on to it.
It probably is
If u are not getting sound on the stock windows mobile 6.5 and not even on the android, it is sure that the problem is hardware related. You should go to a HTC center to get it fixed.
Hope it helps.
Give me a thanks if you found this post useful
Thanks for your replies. Any idea how hard it is to replace the mic?

[Q] Data Recovery

I am hoping there is some miracle worker out there that is able to help me. I have a broken Galaxy S4 and NEED to retrieve one specific text message off of it. There is no screen, it's in pieces, and it doesn't appear that the mini usb port is working, as I am unable to connect it to my PC. I have the sim card, and all of the other components seem to be in good condition. Any ideas out there? I really need this message!! Thank you.

Is the led working? Like when you turn it on..does the LED function?
"If someone helps, never forget to hit thanks ? "
No LED
There is no led anymore...the device got completely destroyed, but I have internal components and battery. I only have the motherboard. Maybe I could connect it to a screen of another model, but idk...I need to try something. : /

IMHO go to a local mobile shop in your area and get a screen attached to it for a while..extract you msg..and be done with it..
And bdw how did you manage to do that?
"If someone helps, never forget to hit thanks ? "
My kid broke it lol and without giving it much thought I sort of disassembled it...

Ohh.. :/
Go to a local mobile shop and get it extracted. The only way..
You shouldn't have disassembled it..it could've worked somehow..by @Fusseldieb 's method too.
@AntaresOne please help..
