i can send and recive mms/sms but when i get a pic or video i can not view them (like there missing codec or something) i have to save and use windows media player to view them the mms player will not work can some one help please to i need to change the mms software and how do i do that been looking online every where ill post a video of it all if it will help...

I share your pain
I too have the same problem, but it's not VP3G's WM6 Rom that is giving you the problem. I have tried several or the newer WM6 Roms, and in my opinion it's the updated MMS Composer. Version 3.5 works best for me and has a send limit of 600k. Version 4.0 is just like you said, it seems to be missing some codecs or is not integrated properly. Tis version also imposes a 300k send limit. I have post this problem a couple of times myself, but it seems we are the only two having this problem. To verify it's a codec problem try this: send your self an mms message from your computer's email account. My carrier is AT&T so my phone's mms address is my ten digit cell [email protected] (example: [email protected]). send yourself an audio wav file less than 300k. It should play as it would in version 3.5. Hopefully some will have pity on me and create a Version 3.5 cab file of MMS Composer, but until then I'm using Sleuth's new rom. The MMS composer works great for me. Hope this helps.

WM2003se mms problem?!?!?!?!

i have installed the Merged version of WM2003SE by SIn, which I must say lookes and works really great! I just have one little problem! I cant send or recienve mms, When i try to send it says "Your message is larger than the sending limit you specified in 'Preferences'. to change the limit, select 'MMS Settings' from the Inbox Tools menu." I can't change it cause i can't see that specific Settings to change the limit is no where to be found, it's like it's missing from the window! All my settings are perfect, I can surf the web everything! If anyone has an idea for my minor problem thats turning into a mounten, please let me know!
Thank you all!!
RE
I suppose you're using O2 XDA II. My problem was a bit different in that I could not view the recieved MMS and my recipient could not recieved my MMS.
I faced a similar problem recently when I tried to use MMS for my O2 XDA II with WM2003SE and ROM v2.06.00. My MMS composer was v2.0.0.13
Apparently, my telco carrier does not recognize v2.0.0.13 as the official MMS composer.
Now it works because I'm using MMS v1.6.0.8 from the original ROM v1.6.00 ie from WM2003.

ArcSoft MMS Composer issues on the Qtek 8500, 9100 and HTC TyTN

Has anyone experienced problems with the ArcSoft MMS composer software not being able to process the image sent to the device when set to WAP version 2.0. and displaying unable to send from the device when set to WAP version 1.2? I believe it is a software version issue with the ArcSoft MMS composer software. Any version older then 3.2 seems to have various send or receive issues. I recently updated my rom on the HTC TyTN and the new version of the mms composer works just fine (MMS Composer Version 3.2.0.15)
I have worked with my WAP/MMSC provider to capture packets at the gateway and we are seeing a NACK message being sent from the handset prior to loosing the session. The mms receive log (when set to WAP version 2.0) ends with a Receive result: 413. What does this mean?!
Would it be possible to update the AcrSoft MMS composer within the ext rom on these devices to a version equal to 3.2.0.15 or higher?
Please help!

I work with many different brands of HTC and ofcourse there is a lot of problems with MMS. 95% of the cases it is due to wrong configuration. The last 5% it is either memory, previously installed 3rd party software, loosing MMS Config. under Messasing, loosing MMS cathegory, etc. but nothing that couldn't be fixed.

MMS Lite for X01HT - No Setup Required

This morning a Japanese programmer posted a beta version of MMS Lite for X01HT. It is a no-setup require cab that gets MMS working perfectly.
http://www.wince.ne.jp/frame.asp?/soft2002/detail.asp?PID=4022
Limitation are as follows.
Notes:
・The beta software will expire on 3/1.
・ActiveSync will temporarily disable sending and receiving.
・You cannot send to pure phone number address although you can receive.
・You cannot send or see softbank specific smilies.
Other notes:
・OMA MMS Version 1.3 / WAP-230-WSP Version5 used to Encode and Decode. (DRM not supported)
・SMIL Presentations not supported (SMIL will be left as an attachment)
I've tried it and it works absolutely perfectly so far.
Enjoy this one guys.
Great! Thanks for the link.
wow, almost perfect. I wonder what Softbank is saying about that. I found one little bug: As already mentioned, MMS Lite is suspended during Active Sync. But after stopping ActiceSync and disconneting the USB cable, it does not re-start: The MMS1 account is gone. After a soft re-set it's visible again.
Just wait a second and the MMS account comes back.

I'm not sure I understand what you ask for. Of course you have to subscribe to Softbank's MMS service ("S!Mail") first, it's just 300 Yen per month.
They have released a new version of MMS Lite:
MMS Lite 1.0 for X01HT Beta Build 194(4022)
http://www011.upp.so-net.ne.jp/genocide/MMSLite.ARMV4I_bld194.CAB
no setup?!?

MMS Voice record function fix available

I'm on WM 6.5 and have Arcsoft installed. Everything works perfectly when I send MMS messages EXCEPT the voice record option where you can record your voice and it will be part of the MMS message. I can attach pictures to it with no problem, it's just the voice record function that doesn't work. If anyone knows of a fix for this particular issue, it would be greatly appreciated!
Which version WM6.5 and MMS are you using if it isWM6.5 21202 from Xplode download & install midi support from here provided by Motisu http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360954. The version 21202 does not support midi or amr type of files which are commonly used for MMS. MMS voice recording uses amr format files. Hope this will help you

MMS trouble with file ext.

When trying to send a MMS message, the image is renamed and stripped of the file ext.
Like this: IMG00453.jpg becomes 45684123
It is the same result whether I send to an email address or to another mobile phone.
Some email clients doesn't understand that 45684123 is really a .jpg image.
Tried telling HTC support about this, but they don't seem to care...
I have a temporary solution, by disabling the HTC default MMS program and installing Arcsoft MMS v5.
But then I can’t pick a contact and choose “send Message”, because it refers to the default program which I disabled….
Well, at least I can send MMS with file ext…. :-|
Does anybody have a fix for this problem? So that the default MMS program can be used?
No one can help?
