MMS Voice record function fix available - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 ROM Development

I'm on WM 6.5 and have Arcsoft installed. Everything works perfectly when I send MMS messages EXCEPT the voice record option where you can record your voice and it will be part of the MMS message. I can attach pictures to it with no problem, it's just the voice record function that doesn't work. If anyone knows of a fix for this particular issue, it would be greatly appreciated!

Which version WM6.5 and MMS are you using if it isWM6.5 21202 from Xplode download & install midi support from here provided by Motisu http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360954. The version 21202 does not support midi or amr type of files which are commonly used for MMS. MMS voice recording uses amr format files. Hope this will help you

mms help on VP3G's wm6

i can send and recive mms/sms but when i get a pic or video i can not view them (like there missing codec or something) i have to save and use windows media player to view them the mms player will not work can some one help please to i need to change the mms software and how do i do that been looking online every where ill post a video of it all if it will help...
I share your pain
I too have the same problem, but it's not VP3G's WM6 Rom that is giving you the problem. I have tried several or the newer WM6 Roms, and in my opinion it's the updated MMS Composer. Version 3.5 works best for me and has a send limit of 600k. Version 4.0 is just like you said, it seems to be missing some codecs or is not integrated properly. Tis version also imposes a 300k send limit. I have post this problem a couple of times myself, but it seems we are the only two having this problem. To verify it's a codec problem try this: send your self an mms message from your computer's email account. My carrier is AT&T so my phone's mms address is my ten digit cell [email protected] (example: [email protected]). send yourself an audio wav file less than 300k. It should play as it would in version 3.5. Hopefully some will have pity on me and create a Version 3.5 cab file of MMS Composer, but until then I'm using Sleuth's new rom. The MMS composer works great for me. Hope this helps.

Alternative MMS apps?

Hi folks. Does anybody other than Arcsoft make MMS apps for Windows Mobile?
Cheers
Matt
Hi.
My Eten M700 has built-in jMMS v4.1.60 made by Jataayu
http://www.jataayusoft.com/DcMMSC.htm
But I have installed Arcsoft's MMS Composer v4.2.8.1 because it gives me more options/control over my MMS.
If anyone has any other software installed, post it's name, please!
BTW: Does anyone know how to enable/use DRM in Arcsoft's program (I mean i.e. limiting the number of times a sent MMS can be viewed, making it read only, setting expiration date etc...) ?
BTW2: There is also a program called (as far as I remember) CoolMMS, but I didn't like it and don't recommend.

Verizon MMS?

MMS issue (arcsoft 5 related)

I installed an upgraded rom of windows mobile 6.1 and it is pretty good. The problem is MMS
I used a registry file I found on this site (I am attaching the text file) but when I try to send an mms the voice recording option comes up and not mms
Can someone help me?
I am using arcsoft 5 that was bundled in the vetvito rom.
I should specify by saying that I enter my sms/mms menu click new and select mms but the voice mail prompt comes up instead of the default mms insert image here. I was wondering if it was related to the registry settings I imported and if so, what should I do to correct this issue
I did find the registry file here I just don't remember the topic

MMS trouble with file ext.

When trying to send a MMS message, the image is renamed and stripped of the file ext.
Like this: IMG00453.jpg becomes 45684123
It is the same result whether I send to an email address or to another mobile phone.
Some email clients doesn't understand that 45684123 is really a .jpg image.
Tried telling HTC support about this, but they don't seem to care...
I have a temporary solution, by disabling the HTC default MMS program and installing Arcsoft MMS v5.
But then I can’t pick a contact and choose “send Message”, because it refers to the default program which I disabled….
Well, at least I can send MMS with file ext…. :-|
Does anybody have a fix for this problem? So that the default MMS program can be used?
No one can help?
