Found Atom Black "KEY Light" bug! - iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom General

Hi
I've found Atom "KEY light" (the Green & RED lights for the pickup call & end call) that can't turn off by software ( any POWER OFF program) .
If u had installed any "Power Off" program try to activate it during before the Key light goes off. Or try push the End call button then activate your software power off (means go to sleep mode) then u will see your device is off but the Green & RED button lights still light up.
Can someone expert try to fix this bug and provide us the patch files or tweak the registry or any other way.
Thanks for support in advanced.

Turning Off XDA II

Hi I know this seems a very silly question, however after reating the manual and try after try I cannot manage to turn off the XDA.
The manual reads, press and hold the power button (top left). When I do this the backlight of the XDA turns off but the handset is still active and will still accept incoming calls.
How stupit am I, but how the hell to do switch this device off?
Go on have a good laugh but I am getting  .
Cheers guys
Matt
AT the top of the screen there is a signal meter, just click that and you will be offered the option to turn off the radio, also in profiles you can select flight mode this will turn off the radio then you just press the power button to turn off the xda.
Don't keep the button pressed.
Just press and release, can take a few seconds before it switches off.
XDAII has two functions: PDA and phone.
To switch off phone: Click on signal icon at the top of Today screen. Click "Turn Wireless off" or in some version click "Turn Flight Mode On"
To switch off PDA: Press the power button on top of your XDAII. Press and release, wait a few secs, your XDAII will switch off. If you press the power button and hold, only the backlight brightness will 'turned off'.
To switch both PDA and phone, switch off phone first, then PDA.
Hope that helps.
Cheers guys worked great.
All the best

speed?!?
When I choose to either switch wireless off or to open the ultra profiler it takes a couple of minutes to do. Is my XDA2 unusually slow or is that just the speed of the machine?!? :? I am getting so frustrated with the sloooooowness of it
the XDAII gets well slow!!!
can take bout 1 minute to turn my wireless off!
btw. if you want to turn off the GPRS but not the phone (to save battery life) hold down the red "end call" button on the case for 5 secs.

Phone button light don't go off using Suspend sys function!!

I'm using Spb Pocket Plus Today Plug in and one icon I put is the "Suspend" system function. It works generally fine but if the light of phone buttons (red and green) are still on when I click the suspend button, they just don't go off. The power button on the phone works fine.....
How to resolve this? Please let me know!
use toggle button
use toggle button, this will be fine

Controlling the red phone button (Mogul)

On my Mogul, a long press of the red phone button turns the phone on and off, and of course because the red phone button is raised it is often pressed by accident and turns off the phone.
I tried AEBPlus to de-assign the button, but both the new assignment works AND the phone still turns off. The author thinks that perhaps phone on/off is done "in the driver".
I'd rather handle this with software than by grinding off the button or trying every case on the market
Does anybody have a software tool or Registry hack that might help?
P.S. I'm also in the market for a replacement phone app that lets me place the speakerphone button on the same page as the digits (i.e. not skin, an actual re-arrangement)
I saw this over at sprintmogul.net , havnt tried it but it sounds like it might help. Good Luck

Code:
HOW TO: Permanently Disable Flight Mode
You must have a registry editor installed on the PPC. I used PHM RegEdit
Go to the registry and change the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> ControlPanel -> PhoneExtendFunction -> CDMA
Change FlightModeSwitchByPnHEndKey to 0
This will prevent the phone from going into Flight Mode if you accidentally press the End Call button for too long.
Note that Flight Mode can still be used by tapping the signal strength meter. (I wish I could disable that too)
p.s. if you find that phone app let me know

Click to collapse
Better to have your pocket press the red button and turn off the phone than press the green button and redial your last call all the time. Stop both from happening by Start>Settings>Today>Items and making sure Device Lock is checked; then click "Device Unlocked" on the Today screen, which locks input, before putting the phone away. You will have to click "Unlock" to re-enable the buttons and screen; however the green phone button will still work to answer incoming calls while locked.
Also, were you aware that holding the green phone button down for about three seconds while on a call toggles the speakerphone on/off?

End Key Beeps! really weird

Some how out of no where my end ( red Phone Button) key gives a weird beep when pressed. I just woke up and it was doing it and i cant find a setting to turn it off. Any suggestions
in phone settings turn off "KEYPAD" to "off"
thanks that fixed it but now when i dial there is no beeps. I use to still be able to get a keypad sound but no sound when i push the end key.

Power button not working after ending call

Hi everybody, i noticed a problem with my op6t.
Whenever i make a call and at the end of it i press the red button and quickly try to turn off the phone with power button, the button does nothing, the phone stays awake and usually i put it in my pocket where it begins to make random calls to all my contacts....
Do anybody experience this? I know for a fact that with op3 i didn't had this problem.
- edit - Solved, the accessibility setting to end the call with pwr was causing the delay.
