Some how out of no where my end ( red Phone Button) key gives a weird beep when pressed. I just woke up and it was doing it and i cant find a setting to turn it off. Any suggestions
in phone settings turn off "KEYPAD" to "off"
thanks that fixed it but now when i dial there is no beeps. I use to still be able to get a keypad sound but no sound when i push the end key.

I am trying to find a way to bisable the call and end button (green and red) from powering on the device. its very annoying because when i put it in my pocket, the buttons are so easily pressed.
on the settings page it says "lock all buttons besides power buttons" but unfortunately that is not the case on my qtek 9100.
The call/ end buttons definitely do not wake up my device. Are you sure you are turning it off just by tapping the power button at the top right?
Make sure you do have "lock all buttons besides power buttons" selected and not the "lock all buttons only if device is locked" setting selected.
i have noticed that this happens only occasionally. now it doesnt wake it up anymore but an hour ago it did. I think its a bug. "lock all buttons besides power button" was checked.
i also have another bug where i get a call and i try to answer it but i dont hear anyone except they hear me. the sound on my end is completly muted.
On my Mogul, a long press of the red phone button turns the phone on and off, and of course because the red phone button is raised it is often pressed by accident and turns off the phone.
I tried AEBPlus to de-assign the button, but both the new assignment works AND the phone still turns off. The author thinks that perhaps phone on/off is done "in the driver".
I'd rather handle this with software than by grinding off the button or trying every case on the market
Does anybody have a software tool or Registry hack that might help?
P.S. I'm also in the market for a replacement phone app that lets me place the speakerphone button on the same page as the digits (i.e. not skin, an actual re-arrangement)
I saw this over at sprintmogul.net , havnt tried it but it sounds like it might help. Good Luck

Code:
HOW TO: Permanently Disable Flight Mode
You must have a registry editor installed on the PPC. I used PHM RegEdit
Go to the registry and change the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> ControlPanel -> PhoneExtendFunction -> CDMA
Change FlightModeSwitchByPnHEndKey to 0
This will prevent the phone from going into Flight Mode if you accidentally press the End Call button for too long.
Note that Flight Mode can still be used by tapping the signal strength meter. (I wish I could disable that too)
p.s. if you find that phone app let me know

Better to have your pocket press the red button and turn off the phone than press the green button and redial your last call all the time. Stop both from happening by Start>Settings>Today>Items and making sure Device Lock is checked; then click "Device Unlocked" on the Today screen, which locks input, before putting the phone away. You will have to click "Unlock" to re-enable the buttons and screen; however the green phone button will still work to answer incoming calls while locked.
Also, were you aware that holding the green phone button down for about three seconds while on a call toggles the speakerphone on/off?
hi
almost every call i make, it hapend to be on hold in the middle of the call, i found out, that this hapens, when i speak thru my bt headset, and the device stays, in side the case, so even the screen is dark, the send key is pressed suddenly.
i need a solution how to lock this key during a call.
thanks.

Hi Guys,
this issue has been driving me slightly mad, tried searching with no luck, hopefully someone can help.
basically when i get an incoming call a) the flip phone over does not mute call, b) pressing the mute button on the incoming call screen does not work.
Now this used to work, and i have no idea what changed to cause it to stop.
i have checked the following :
regsitry - FaceDownMuteRing set to 1
HD Tweak tool - mute call is enabled
S2u2 - i have all phone settings off (callerID section set to off)
Now i do have AEbuttons installed which is probably the last thing i installed, on this i have mapped several buttons to the volume keys. Cant see this been an issue though.
Also, another issue which has developed is my backlight settings keep reverting back to timeout after 10 seconds everytime i reboot the device, could this be related.
any help will be much appriciated,
thanks

Had the same problem. And exactly the same possible culprit. Thus, I decided to try restoring the volume keys to their default mappings in AEB, and alas, now the muting works when I press the mute button or face the phone down.
On the other hand, if you really need to map the volume buttons, I also discovered that while the mute button or facing the phone down would not mute the phone while it is ringing, pressing the volume down button will (assuming that it is not mapped in AEB).
Hope that helped!

When some calls me, and i press power button - phone still calls but silent, witout vibration.
How to disable it, so even wen i press power it still calls as usual or with vibrations, only screen go black?

I don't think is it possible to change this behavior.
May I ask why do you want such thing?
