Help!!! my XDA MINI S still stuck at splash screen!!

i have tried to downgrade with various roms but no success..every time i try,the IPL changes
but the SPL always remains the same...SPL:1.06 and i end up still stuck at the splash screen.. i have tried sd backup but no success,something about me not having "the proper security level to do so",and lokiwiz cannot communicate with pda in bootloader mode to try cid unlock ,and i have tried master reset without any success..tells me format failed...so please i really need help to revive my xda,any help will be greatly appreciated..thanx

im assuming u have tried a hardreset as well? have u tried installing Buttons 1.5 ROM at bootloader?

..Yes i have tried a hard reset still no success...could you please explain to me what "installing Buttons 1.5 ROM at bootloader" mean? i am a noobie in these things really..

sure...first tell me if u have a G3 or G4 Wizard...and is it CID unlocked? you must be CID unlocked to perform any custom ROM modifications...

It must be a G3 Wizard (not really sure)because it came in as a XDA MINI S from O2 and at the splash screen it has this info: IPL:1.05 SPL:1.06 GSM: 01.01.10 OS:1.1.9.3 after flashing with Xda_minis_LaunchRom_v154102_2. i am not sure about CID unlock but i am using a different network other than O2. it was shipped with windows mobile 5.0...

a G4 PDA will report an IPL and SPL similar to 2.21.0001 and a G3 PDA will report something similar to 2.21 (notice the G3 doesn't have the trailing .0001!)

go to the above link and CID unlock your device just to be on the safe side...as for going into the bootloader, u can do this by keeping the Camera button pressed, and pressing the softreset button..then u will go into a colored screen(red,green,blue,white)which will show your IPL/SPL...once u are in that screen, go ahead and connect it to your computer(via USB) and u will notice on ur device, it will show USB on the bottom...then u can proceed with the guide to CID unlock your phone...let me know how it goes!! =)

Hi i installed the buttons rom like you suggested but it still hangs at the splash screen(beer jug)with this info IPL:1.01 SPL:1.06 GSM:01.12.10 OS:1.5.4.2. activesync does not recognize the pda in "hang mode" for me to be able to try CID unlocking...so where do i go from here ? please help...

oo wow...umm gosh im out all of ideas...i dont know what else to suggest, ive never heard of this type of problem....sorry!

So does it mean my fon is bricked or what? or could it be a hardware problem?

ummm i dont think its bricked, if it was, you wouldnt be able to get into the bootloader...im sure theres a solution to the problem, i just dont know it because ive never seen this type of case before, im fairly new to the MDA...i started modifying my wizard less than 2-3 months ago

Atom flash ROM Success, stuck at Update Utility Screen

Dear All,
My Atom flash wm5 ROM everything successfull, but when i cold reboot or normal reset, always go to Update Utility Screen. Can't go into the system.
Anybody can help me ?

Try to reflash it again, got the same problem before. Check if you can go to bootloadler and reflash.

put device in boot loader mode press "camera button + reset". If boot loader is not working. just try to reflash the unit again using DSUU, but make sure your unit still have ample enough of batt.
or try other suggestions posted in here.
but for me above mentioned steps work.

No problem, I was sweating and crossed my finger when that happend to my unit before. I thought i'll say goodbye to my atom.

I use Chinese Version WM6 ROM to flash it, for Step 1 CE ROM update are successfull, but Step 2 Bootloader get error, can't flash.
Without touching anything ( Remove cable or reset ), i try to use English Version WM5 ROM to flash it, Step 1 CE ROM update stuck in 0%, device screen blind. Wait for 5 min, still maintain 0%. Try to reset, can see O2 welcome pic, wait for a moment can go to setup screen, everthing is ok. Go into system try other function all can work, but when i reset. It return back to Update Utility Screen, same as previous problem again, put in battery automatic go to Update Utility Screen. Can't go into system again !
Anyone can help ?

Where did you aquire this Chinese rom, perhaps you must ask the author or you could keep reading, try the Wiki!

Thank you for your help, now can go into system. But no radio, want to flash in Active Sync, show me Country ID Error, into Bootloader flash, show me connection error. Would you mind to help in this also ?

if there is no radio, could have been a flash problem. try to reflash it again.
try changing USB cable aswell it can be a faulty one

Already test in 4 different USB cable and in different computer also. Still display Country Error in Activesync and Connection Error in Bootloader....

Hmmmmm thats odd? it should have been fix, oh well better get advice from where you got the rom or do a little reading in the wiki

Already can connected and flash any ROM, but new problem come out.
Comupter stuck at Stage 5 0% among 3 hrs still maintain 0%, but my device show Burn Radio MOT 100% completed
So i try to unplug the USB cable, my computer immediatly show Connection Error. After i hard reset my device, everything OK except No Radio ( NO GSM ).
Any advise

Program stopped in percent screen (in 0%) and don´t run more. After if you unplugged the PDA (an HTC Polaris, of course) and swich on don´t pass of the Tri Color screen and you can read "POLARIS. SPL-1.25.0000.CPLD-2" and in the rigth corner "RUUNBH" but nothing began, no OS or programs, nothing... Any suggestions and help??? Thank You.

last week-end I tried flashing hard SPL v2 on my French Polaris, before planning to flash the new radio 1.64, then bepe's 0.66 ROM.
I spent the first part of Saturday night trying numerous times, recovering, taking battery away, and trying agin - never worked. Then I tried flashing the 1.64 radio, it went up to 99%, then stopped, error message: from then on my Polaris went to boot-loader only, after soft reset or even hard resets. Until dawn I tried to fix this (I'm not a developper, I'm a power user travelling 4 days a week by plane accross Europe). Couldn't fix it.
On Sunday I called a friend of mine who imports HTC and sells the channel: I gave him my Polaris and he took it with him to fix it. Result was very surprising: I had given him your hard SPL v2, and a few nice ROM's from this site, specailly bepe's, as well as all the radio versions listed here for POlaris; well none of all that worked with him, and he could only reflash the official ROM and radio, and return it back to me...(which was very kind as it took him some time).
BUT, overall I'm very frustrated as I'm an early adopter, and I would so much like to try cooked ROM's on this fabulous device.
What do you think I should do? Any idea?
Is there a way to guide me though a custom process or is there a real issue on ALL French ROM's out there? (can't believe that).
Your inputs would really be appreciated.

My cruiser not leaving the screen tricolor, Tried to replace the original language (Spanish) by the English and upgrade stopped in 14%, dai then not leaving the screen tricolor.

FIXED! at last the problem was I used a SPL for HTC ELF not Polaris and, I don´t know why, that makes OS stopped in an eternal bug... Whem I use again the same Hard SPL for Elf Voilá! Do it! And know all works fine. I promisse: I will never change the BootSplash be sure

Hard reset the device and it can take u out of bootloaer mode. To hard reset:
GPS/MESSAGING and INTERNET EXPLORER buttons, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the bottom of your device.
2. Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the GPS/MESSAGING and INTERNET EXPLORER buttons until you see a message on the screen
Release the buttons, and then press SEND on your device to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

the Elf is a DiskOnChip device, the Polaris is plain NAND.
you can try it, but frankly, I think it's not really the smartest move

You are rigth Olipro as always, but I left because I have the experience of used badly and block the PDA until I use again and unblock the machine. Maybe the diferent chip make a kind of bug than only can be fixed with Elf Hard SPL I don´t know but with me works. Let see if is the same with Diagorn

could be a side-effect, but the file should be blocked from flashing anyway.

Curiously Elf SPL unblock the flash and I don´t know why Anyway I stopped flashing anymore because I don´t want have the same problem again. Only I explain what happend to anyone that can have the same problem and attach the Elf Hard SPL if they want use and probe

BT Problem
The BT LED styed ON and after hardware reset (removing the battery, the reset button wasn't working) only the bootloader screen. It revived after I flashed the Radio ROM. And what bugs me is that BT button remains ON in TouchCommander, but NO BT. any ideas???

Cruise stuck in 3-color screen
Hi,
My Cruise just frooze, during GPRS synch with Exchange server. Soft reset and hard reset do not work anymore. If I take out the battery, and then switch on the device it stops in the 3-color screen. BT light stays on.
I have not made any changes to my Cruise, only added a 8 Gb SD card.

I was really frightened when my TC got stuck in Tri-Colour screen. MY Polaris came to standstill, trapped in.
Over and over ROMUpdateUtility.exe shows ERROR [262 or 284]: UPDATE ERROR while trying update.
And only this strange RUU gave me other ERROR [296]: UPGRADE ONLY that helped me to quite out the three-color screen and installed new radio successfully.

Dead Prophet; Please help!

I dropped the my prophet on the floor. Now its stuck on the boot screen. It doesnt go any further. Looks like a hardware issue. But is there any suggestions which I could try to fix my phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe your cyrstal oscillatior got trouble.

Which "boot screen"? If you can enter bootloader (hold the comm manager button and soft reset) you should be fine. If not it's probably a hardware issue.

Hi, I can enter the bootloader. But when I softreset it does not go any fyrther than the boot screen, which says Qtek on it.

Hi, Thanks. I tried your method and successfully completed the falshing. But the phone still gets stuck at the boot screen which displays "Qtek" on it and doesnt go to the today screen. I cannot turn the device off either. I have to take the battery out to turn it off.

Try to download and flash the Orange UK ROM (the wiki ) and see if that helps.

I have downloaded the rom but looks like my prophet is completely dead now. It doesnt power up at all now! So, I could not flash the rom

HTC won't boot after installing NYDITOT Virtual Display, Version 5.02

Hi i have a slight problem.
After installing NYDITOT (sounds like idiot..) Virtual Display, Version 5.02 my htc hangs on smart mobility screen. I tried a soft and than hard reset, but that won't work.
So it thought i try Flashing and changing the device to a new version..
I can start the device in the bootloader screen (thats the only thing i can do at this moment..)
This is wat i see:
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.14.0000
MicroP-BlackStone (LED) v6
and then serial or usb (when i plug it in)
But than after trying HardSPLWrapper_Blackstone.exe the screen on the pc aswell the screen on the htc stays on 0% and eventualy (after a minute or so) it looses the connection.
(Error 262, communications error)
Then i tried to acces the device though MTTY and this is what i get..
Cmd>password BsaD5SeoA
Pass.
HTCST ÚÈÒHTCE
Cmd>ruurun 0
Command error !!!

hmmm..... help?
Please some help guys, i am running out of options here.

You should check if you have the correct usb drivers installed if you are running a 64 bit system. Also try installing the latest version of mobile device center. Check the troubleshooting section in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2710548&postcount=1

All gives the same problem as mentioned...

Only think I can think of is to boot into USPL and flash a new Rom

Sorry mate, but this is all I can think of as well. Try flashing a new ROM.
Once ROM downloaded, Start BlackStoneCustomRUU.exe and follow the onscreen instruction's.
I'm assuming of course that you already have flashed HardSPL previously?

Hard reset should be sufficient to remove the faulty piece of software for good.

I have not flashed HardSPL previously, i bought it one week ago and just installed a few proggs including that IDIOT virtual display..
So i don't care is i lose the data thats
Can i still try flashing a new ROM even without a HardSPL?

pfff i feel such a NYDITOT myself, after watching youtube how to HARD-reset a blackstone for dummys, i saw the guy repete it several times when it actually reset itself.. same here also, but it worked

A dead HD; somebody to reanimate it?!?
Hello guys!
I have synced my HD several times. I have installed also a lot of software (sktools, pocket mechanic, memaid, and other).
The same programs run to my TyTN2 without any problems for more than a year.
After a soft reset it stacked to the start screen (smart mobility).
I have tried even several hard resets; the message appears for factory settings, the hard reset is getting done, but after that the same problem appears again.
I have tried also to flash it, but when i plug it to my PC nothing happens.
I turned it off by removing the battery.
R:1.09.25.14, G: 52.49a.25.26U, D: 1.14.22273
Please somebody helps.
I have searched the date base in the site, but i found nothing relevant.
