One more brick to the Cathedral - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

This is my first Thread and unfortunately for the worst reason, that’s right … my WISA200 (Qtek 9100) is officially a brick.
For one week now that I’m surfing this forum looking for a solution. No success.
Long story short….
I’ve “see the light” with XDA and got so addict that I’ve started to make all the ROM’s I could get my hands on…last I got RUU_Molski.Biz_226102_22610105_022511_WWE-30MB (G3 Device. IPL/SPL like: 2.xx) and I was a very happy person, thanks to Molski.
The problem was that my enthusiasm did not stop and I made the big mistake …my own ROM.
My idea was quite simple, use the 3.0 Molski Rom thaking out the extended and that’s it, clean OS … I’ve tried sereval times and versions without any problem until one week ago...
I got the boot screen and never got read of it. The strange thing is that when previously the IPL and SPL were 2.26, now is IPL 2.26 and the SPL 2.18.0001.
I’ve already tried everything, without success …..

Old Molski great job (how I miss it):
and even MiniSD image:
Nothing works …..
I’ve Google search (it always goes back here) and nothing……
Has any one got this boot screen before?
Thanks in advance even for those who just will read my post and … why not …laugh on me ….brick nerd….
Obrigado,
The Nerd

If it's getting as far as the boot screen, you should still be able to get into the bootloader (see wiki) and try a flash that way.

Looking for help .....
Alan, thank you for your care and time reading my post.
Unfortunatelly I've spent my day using the different bootloaders tools and solutions and nothing works .... or I'm making the wrong procedure. I've even created (I think) a MiniSD SPL upgrade, but it did not work.
It seams the phone stops responding when I try to make any think.
MTTY without error, seams not to do anything although it connects to the phone ...
If anyone else has any ideas I would apriciate a lot.
Once more thanks Alan.

HAPPY
I did not stop trying even though the bootloader did not work properlly, so still I insisted on inserting a rom, and I've tryed this one:
Qtek_9100_Telia_Danish_2.18.7.9245
Now it is on 98% I am really happy.
I'll keep you guys posted.
Nerd!

now that u got that far.... go as alan points out to this thread with unlock advice and follow the procedure to get a good bootloader unlocked and all

the process went all the way to the end but it came back again to the bootscreen rgb screen without any change still the IPL is 2.26 and the SPL 2.18.0001, does this mean my wizard is G4 and all the problems come from there? .....
I've made the format procedure, but still gives me FAT error.
Also I made a huge digging in the wiki and all posts to get in to the bootloader to change it or correct the SPL nothing has worked for me. Does any one has a SD image (any langue dont care!) which might solve me the problem?
Thanks a million.
Nerd ....
I promisse if I solve this I will never make a rom again!!!!

Problem solved!!!!
The issue was a new motherboard ... yes... hardware failure.
As anyone expirenced similar issues?
Thanks to all support.

When you tried to flash to molski's rom it gave you an error 300 message. This message is usually displayed on a G4 device (you're SPL is a G4 SPL now). I think it could be flashed to you're device if you replace the "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe" with the one that works on G3 and G4 devices from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=291215
If this doesn't work, try flashing the wizard_love rom. It seems to flash to almost every device out there.
Good luck!

I need the original Vodafone splash image

Hello,
In order to take it to repair (again) for the G sensor problem I need to put back the original Vodafone splash screen.
Can someone upload it somewhere?
Also I have an engineered spl (had the perfect one). Should I change it too? Or the guys from the repair won't notice that?
Thanks
you should change the spl to a standard one really as they will tell straight away. Do you know what your orignal one was?
Cant find the original splash screen but heres a similar one i have made
The image looks pants in preview but is perfect once splashed

Thanks for the image.
I had the 1.33.0010 one. Now it's the same but engineered with S-OFF.
Where can I find the original one?
I had a nandroid backup of my original rom after changing the SPL. Now i'm running the original software, but with wrong spl. It will be enough just to apply the the perfect SPL before going to repairs?
I woudnt like to say really, i have had mine repaired it had the spl for g1/dream n it (bricked) i didnt get charged for the repair
This thread has shipment spl Thanks to AMON_RA
I had mine repaired too, ut it was bricked...so it was impossible to say that i had another rom/spl. But now the scenario is different...the phone is up and running. Only the G sensor isn't working
you tried doing a factory reset?
And not just once...
In Teeter game the ball is going in the upper right corner and is staying there no matter what.
Have you tried amon ra recovery 1.2.3?has a fix rotate option in the recovery, you don't have to flash it only boot.
Could you tell me all The about phone info like kernel etc for the original voda rom? Would be a great help to me.
Just tried the repair from the recovery...no luck with it.
Also i jst figured that I don't have the original ROM anymore....I will try to take it from someone else. And after that....repairing center
Another thing....how can I put back the original perfect SPL (1.33.0010)?
I made a nandroid backup of the South African Magic ROM when I first got the phone. If someone can tell me how to upload it, I will.
In return, if someone can help me root the phone, that would be greatly appreciated. I've got the recovery flasher loaded, and it seems to work, but any attempt to load a custom ROM just ends up in a hang and I need to revert.
I don't think most ROMs are compatible with whatever customised software we use here. It may have something to do with the radio version. DON'T FLASH A RADIO UPGRADE! I learnt that the hard way.
Regard,
H
I've managed to change the eng SPL 1.33.2010 S-OFF to 1.33.0009 S-ON and now I cannot change the splash screen anymore...
How can I keep it on the original SPL side but with the Vodafone splash image?
Thanks
flash the image BEFORE you flash the perfect spl
I couldn't find the perfect SPL...so now it's in the repair center wit 1.33.0009 S-ON spl and the original rom image in it...maybe they won't find that as it's a hardware issue for sure.

You got S-ON issues after rooting? PLease post here

Hello everyone, i've got the interest of joining everyone and try come up with a solution in orther to sort the part of After rooting , suddently become S ON. I know problably you made a mistake, but the intention of this post is to try undone that mistake, or achive a new solution to it.
I would request everyone to post exacly what you have done to become S ON. Try remember every detail, such as after you turned on the phone, wich bottons you touched, options selected, if you used recover, fastboot HBoot .
Lets hope we may achive a solution to everyone
Issues underinvestigation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=665349
Recomended method if you want to flash radio or Hboot, the use fastboot its the safest way.
Regards
I have my phone rooted and it says S-ON. Not sure what it was before rooting. But what exactly is S-ON and S-OFF. What are the difference?

The diference is that S-ON means singature verification On, in other words your phone is not rooted now. If you try install another rom, it wont install. Could you please Copy the details wich are on Fastboot?
PLease try remember the last modifications wich you've made on your phone before become S-ON after you rooted.
A well rooted phone is something similer as:

I still have root access. I can use the su command in terminal emulator. Does S-ON just prevent from installing another ROM?
hmm interesting. You are a 32B i need to study those (I only understand of 32A But since we are a community surely someone with a 32 B should know the awser but i'll also study those) . But according to theory you cant flash new rom. Could you provide the instructions you followed please?
Superuser app installed, i'm not sure at wich point it should work completly with Sign ON.
Please test by going to the adb and enter in su mode then type cd /data/app-private if it works than the ROM is rooted.
But the Singature verification is ON so i supposed the protection again rom flashing is on also.
S-ON prevents you from using fastboot commands. It does not mean you're not rooted.. You can definitely flash another rom with S-ON

Should have read the stickies bro....
Anyways, try flashing an older stock version from SD...but I think you are stuck because now phone has new SPL 2.10 on it and no HSPL out there for it yet.
You could however try flashing the new stock ROM from PC instead of SD and it should atleast give you a working phone
there is no spl for 2.10 yet... not sure you can flash a stock ROM vis PC to get it working. try flashing your stock ROM via SD.

that means only one thing... I'm afraid you'll need to wait for HSPL3 or something to get HSPL for 2.10.
Bepe and Cotulla and their team are the geniuses that will be able to help you out.
you're phone still has hope... you'll have to wait though... there were those who flashed the 2.10 shipped ROM before Hspl2 came out and were stuck as well. A new Hspl for 2.10 Spl looks like your only chance.
Hopefully, I'm wrong...
Sorry to hear that Bro..
Your Leo stucked on SPL 2.10 while the most currrent HSPL is HSPL 2.08.
What I understand, original SPL can be upgraded but not downgraded.
I suggest you to bring it to HTC service center. They will definitely know that the warranty is void, but you still can ask them to repair it but you will be charged for that (but its better to try it unless the cost is more than the price of your Leo)
Flash the 2.13 rom again.
Apart from gold card its the only thing you can do until a 2.10 hardspl is released.
Reflash 2.13 with Goldcard is ur only solution.
Probably you have to change the first 2 digit from 00 to 11 in ur goldcard.
It's funny, there shipping LEO 1.5 PB81120 in whole of Asia.
hello xmoo
u suggested for gold card but i searched in this forum and found gold cards are no longer available. if u know the method pl tell me thanks

PM ur SD-Card serial nr and i'll fix you a correct goldcard!
pkoper
i tried to flash 2.13 again but error is coming .
That is sad....
Reflashing your leo 2.13 is the only option left i think.. give it a try.. or wait for the newer version of hspl.. current version of hspl2 support till only 2.08 and by flashing via sd card u have upgraded your hspl to 2.10 ..
Wait or try 2.13.. that is all you can do for now.. rest ask Bepe and cotulla for the help.. if they can do anything for you..
xmoo
thanx xmoo i will post my sd card serial nr tonight as i am in office u r my last hope man
how about flashing the 2.10
Code:
tmous rom from sd card? yes it will fail, but will it not flash the spl 2.08 before it fails?
just a thought.
samsamuel's
no i tried that also its going to 1% and phone restarts
only solutions i know about for this are the following:
1: turn your phone off, put it in the microwave for 2-3 seconds, this will destroy all data held on all chips in the HD2, essentially causing a complete failure, then return it, when they ask what happened tell them this:
I was sending an sms, the screen went all static and the device locked up, so i pulled the batter and tryed a soft reset, but the device didnt load and now it does this....
(this wil also stp them from being able to tell if you have tried to flash at all!!)
2: wait for new SPL
(it all depends on your insurance really)
MG
good suggestion i will go for 2nd one:

Software update failed! Please try again. - Error

Hey guys,
I recently had issues with the HD2 I purchased from ebay. The seller said it was fine and it was, just a few little screen cracks and lag issues had to be mended.
So I did what most people do and took it to my local phone repair store.
Now, I sent it in and it was booting magldr and android RAFdroid 2.2 or something like that and everything was fine just lagging and shutting down when I ran large games or large apps ( main problem ) <-- the reason I wanted it fixed.
But now it came back into my possession and it wont boot at all it just comes up with the image posted below.
the only thing I have managed to boot onto it is the HTC default stock - RUU_Leo_Telstra_WWE_1.72.841.0 -
BUT
Even the - RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2 - Didn't work.
Is my phone screwed? where should I go from here?

you flashed telstra rom, but sure its a telstra model hd2? That screen is usually encountered when one tries to flash the wrong stock rom whilst hspl is installed.
Hey I also just tried installing the
and that failed but I got this message (read below), any ideas?
I'm going to continue trying to flash more stock roms until one works that isn't the telstra one.
Do you have any idea's on what I could do to maybe erase all the data on it and start again?
(I'm pretty sure task29 only does a specific part of data deletion)
well first off, IS it a telstra? It will say telstra on the actual phone if i'm not mistaken? (or perhaps not, cant remember)
Secondly, what does it say in bootloader? (all lines, please)
I had the same problem
Hi, I had the same problem yesterday but soon had it fixed!
First you have to make sure you've got the correct stock ROM, as samosamuel pointed out. You should just be able to go to your countries HTC site and find your ROM.
Download the ROM, rename it to .zip and extract the files. Find the file with the .nbh extension, copy it to the root of your micro-sd card. Boot your phone holding down power and volume down. It should now install fine.
Thank you all so much for your help.
After installing the correct stock rom I was able to re-install the HSPL and then Magldr Thank you.

well for a start there are no hd2s that would take both of those roms, , , they are for different versions. The wwe 3.14 is for unbranded (carrier unlocked) regular hd2s, the 1.72 one is for telstra branded hd2s, , so a phone that took one wouldn't take the other (well unless using hspl of course, but im just making the point that it isn't as simple as getting 'a' stock rom).
so, first job - enter bootloader (power off - voldown(keep holding this) - tap and release power)
in stripey screen, (bootloader) please write out all the lines (or take a picture)

the only thing i can open is the tricolour screen right now. i have no idea what to do now i was trying to get from Windows 6.5 to android
I have already done this right one another HD2 from 6.5 to anroid 2.3.7 and i had no problems, did same thing but it didn't work with this one.
Man, you're definitely have a lot of homework and (obviously) we need more info..
I'm sorry if I misunderstood something, but in general, here's what you'll need:
First, for custom ROMs whatever it is (winmo, wp, android) you're definitely need a HSPL (2.08HSPL for wp & android, or 3.03HSPL for winmo).
Second, a Radio ROM that support 576MB RAM.
Third, a loader (magldr for wp7 or android, or CLK for android only).
Fourth, a highly compatible & high speed uSD.
Fifth, a flashable recovery image (if you plan to use android).
Sixth, a flashable OS ROM image of your choice.
If your phone stuck at boot screen image (white background with a green HTC word if it's still stock boot screen), then it's definitely your NAND is empty.
No loader, no ROM image, nothing.
Read some sticky thread to dig up a lot more info.

As i said i have done this before. many times on different android devices so i know the basics i need.
I got the ROM i'm planning to put and 2.08HSPL is on the phone.
Not sure what i need the Radio ROM is for
I tried putting magldr didn't work, neither did CLK... they were put on succesfully but then i couldn't load them due to the fact there's no current ROM on the phone
SD Card is there. It's a good one
Got the recovery image
Still need help.
Probably the partition is to small and can't load, flash again and make bigger partition.

Did you flashed? You did not because it not say anything? Well, to me happened many time. If you have the right image in the folder should not be any problem. Just flash. If you still stuck in boot it's because the partition is small or you using a wrong image.
