Hi,
I have blackberry connect on my Qtek 9000 and it is working perfectly.
But I have 2 other connections, Internet and Work connection (2 different
apn...etc.) During day, qtek automatically (every 15-20 mins) disconnect
blackberry, connect on Internet, after 1-2 mins disconnect Internet and
connect on Blackberry.
So, how to prevent automatically connect on other APN, I want that
automatically connect works only on Blackberry. Every other connection
manually.
thanx,
best regards from Croatia

I have an O2 XDA and I have just had GPRS enabled and it all works fine.
I thought it would be possible to leave inbox running and every 15 minutes it would connect to GPRS, download e-mails and then disconnect but it won't work.
If I connect manually to GPRS then it works but I have to leave the connection open all the time which drains the battery.
Is it possible to do what I want with Inbox or is there another piece of software that will do it instead.
Thanks

Hello all,
I have a problem with my magician. When i open explorer on the unit it connects with GPRS no problem. AFter a while of inactivity, the connection is lost, so far so good. However, if i want to then surf to another page, or do anythng else that requires the connection, the unit tries to reconnect but does not. It does this over and over again until finally timing out, approximately 60 seconds.
The only way i can get it to connect again is by turning the phoen off and on again. They it connect via GPRS, until it disconnects, and the whole spiel starts from the beginning.
Any pointers on this?
Hi
When my XDA mini is in the docking station it connects to the PC with Active Sync. So far so good. With that Active Sync profile the XDA is not allowed to connect to the internet because it is set up to be connected to a work network. Everything works fine.
When I now manually connect to gprs I can access my private mail.
But somehow it won't connect automaticly to gprs when trying to get my emails, which is set up to get them every 30 minutes.
the problem is, that my signal strength is very bad at my desk. so the gprs disconnects from time to time. but i don't want to manually connect all the time.
When I am not connected to Active Sync everything works as it should work.
or is it not possible at all to have 2 connections enabled? because I realized, that he disconnects active sync after a while when he is connected to gprs???
Hi everybody,
does anybody knows why Blackberry connect automatically disconnect another connection, Internet e.g.
On example, I want to check my pop3 mail, I disconnect blackberry connection,
and connect via INTERNET. During checking mail, automatically Internet disconnect, and Blackberry connect is connecting.
How to solve this??
thx,
You have to "suspend" the connection. BBC will auto re-connect its GPRS connection if you just disconnect it. You can suspend from Start-Settings-System-Blackberry Instant Email applet
thx, it works

Clearly you have the "how" question answered. If you were interested in the "why", it is because Internet access and Blackberry both uses GPRS but on different APNs. In order to access the different APN, the GPRS connection has to drop and reconnect.
Hello!
I use the X1 as a modem to surf the internet. The PC connection is over bluetooth and it works fine and fast!
but ....
after some time the internet connection is always terminated and i have to select "connect" again.
The device is connected to a power supply and on!
(turn off automatically is OFF)
Is there any (registry) setting to keep the connection?
I also use an HTC x7500 for the same purpose; there the internetconnection is not terminated (using the same PC, provider and even bluetooth)
Any ideas .... Helmut
