The quality of music with A2DP is really bad, have much better sound with my qtek s110 with a2dp hack. I have been using the same sony ericsson ds970. Is there anything that can be done about it?
perhaps you can follow the instruction to turn on the stereo, then the sound will be better.
This is my experience to. I had a SE m600i before and the sound was way much better on that device.
The sound clearly suckes with the headset that is packet with the P3600.
The sound on the S100 was far more better.
Lets just hope the ATi chip get's activated on the rom-update, so that the Graphics and Sound get better.
guys, could you please be more specific? what exactly made you unhappy about the sound produced by HTC Trinity?
please define the problem. is it too soft, too loud, lacking bass or higher frequencies, choppy, etc, etc????
P.S. forget about stock standard wired headset supplied with your Trinity. it's bad.

Guys try using the Hermes Registry Tweaker
I used the hermes registry tweaker to take BT Stereo sound from "Okay" to "Excellent" the tool has five levels of quality as well a tweak to enable true stereo rather than joint stereo.
It worked for me! You can unlock and mount EXTrom too.
http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=3311
It has a desturbing sound on the higher tones and the bas is muffled. I tried the fit4 program and changed to the best quality, it sounded a little bit better but it was hard to hear, beacuse now the music skips even more thnat earlier. You know you ger music for a while, it cuts of for a second and then comes back. Now it does this every 5 seconds.

just tested it here. seems to work. The setting was on LOW on my trinity.
I also tried to turn on the GPS settings, which turned on a nice little menu for configuration of the GPS. Looks promising if this is what we get
does not look like the settings gets any gps functionality to be activated besides the settings.
Excellent
Made a big diference on mine too! Nice to know it worked for you.
Try this to disable joint stereo so you get REAL stereo sound, then you will see the difference.

please see this thread for details. There are good chances for this little gem to work on Trinity as well.

you guys might also want to check out the effort made to port the WIDCOMM stack onto the hermes (to replace the microsoft BT stack). the widcomm stack is superioir and the testers so far have indicated that sound on a2dp is great. the hermes and trinity are basically the same... so it might work.

Last time I tried the Widcomm stack the stack started well, but I couldn't see any bluetooth device. The blue-led did not flash either.
Can't find any bluetooth device.

3D surround configuration
On page 78 of Trinity's manual there is an instruction to set the 3D surround configuration at the headset by going to
Start> Settings > Personal > 3D Surround Sound
and enabling surround sound + setting levels.
I simply can't find the "3D surround sound" selection at >Personal tab...
Can someone help me to configure (eventually by using some registry configuration) how to make this command to appear?
Seems to me this could help to improve stereo quality at P3600...

The problem with my new p3600i is that the volume is much too low. With volume control at max setting, I can just hear music in a quiet environment. e.g. an empty room. When there is any background noise, e.g walking along the street, on a train etc, it is almost inaudible. I am mainly listening to classical music, so the dynamic variation is greater than for rock etc., but nevertheless very disappointing.
I am using the supplied headset, but the sound is not loud enough to know what the quality is like.
Are there any setting I haven't found yet? All the talk about changing the ROM sounds like something which might void the warranty
thanks
John
I have used HTC_UseJointStereff.cab and HTweakC, it seems that the sound changes a little, i don't konw which helps, but they help....
Thank you all.
hi all
i just discover few days back that i realised there is quite difference in stereo sound when i use bluetooth stereo on laptop compared to my dopod.

before. can i adjust it to any other value? is there any combination i should follow?
thanks..
I found that "hissing" is dependant on the headset used.
My plantronics have almost no hiss, while my cheap i-tech things have lots.
Anybody else have the option to compare different headsets?

My Plantronics 590 headset has no hiss and sound absolutely clear and crisp.

Oooooooops...
I didn't realize the whole message was missing,it is like when the celular line fails and you keep on talking...
Well so I have this magnificient Motorola headset S9 and I sucessfully paired it as a Hanfree and a Stereo headset
Everything is working perfect, except the fact that when I activate the voice tag (which usually with oter BT headset works perfectly) I cannot hear the beep telling me to say the voice tag and also I cant hear the confirmation (that the PDA understood what I said)
The voice tag DO work and if I am lucky it dials what I say but I can know only when someone pickup from the other side ....
when i dis-pair the stereo headset,it is working again.
I know it is not the most horrible problem reported in this forum, but if anyone can help....
How to play music via bluetooth device
I've got a set of Harman/kardon Soundstick II speakers and i wan't to play music wirelessly from my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6000 series) onto it i.e I don't wanna plug the speakers directly into the laptop.
I bought the Sony HWSBTA2W Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver and have managed to connect/link it to my laptop. The problem is however, how do you get a music program such as Windows Media Player to play music via the Sony device. I have managed to play music from my Nokia 6600 phone through the device successfully but am unable to play music from my laptop. The Sony device appears as a bluetooth headset in my list of bluetooth devices, but does not appear as a speaker on my laptop.
And oh yes, my laptop is wireless and bluetooth enabled.
Or Is there another wireless dongle or bluetooth item of some kind that i can plug my speakers into and will stream the music down from my laptop.

Ok everyone...I have my handsfree bluetooth headset working great for calls and can hear call audio just fine, but I want to be able to listen to any audio that comes out of my xv8600 so is there a cab file that mods the audio to send over bluetooth? I did a forum search and found nothing on the subject.
THANKS!!
p.s. - the headset is the motorola h700 model
This is one I have used..use...Not a cab..just drop in windows\start menu\programs and it will show up in the programs folder...sure there are many newer versions that would be cab style.
thanks. that did the trick, but wow...audio quality is terrible. I didnt notice how bad it was before since it was just voice audio...
anyone know a high quality BT headset? like as good as regular earbud headphones at least?
-connor
thanks!!
BUMP - anyone? with regards to my last post - trying to find a highquality audio bt headset?
this motorola one I have sound slike 11KHz, and not the full 44KHz quality, sounds very muted and distant, like typical phone quality when I try to listen to music on it...anyone?
It's definitely a hardware issue, so since I just bought this motorola one, I'd like to take it back for a better one, so please post ASAP if you know of a full44khz quality BT headset/earbud
Thanks!!

the whole point is to minimize wghile driving but still get good audio....besides wearing stereo headphones while driving is illegal since it inhibits your abaility to hear sirens, etc...had a friend who got a ticket for listening to his ipod with headphones while driving. the cop told him he could hook it up to his car stereo, but not have headphones directly in his ear. bluetooth earbuds are still legal, thats why i want a stereo quality earbud (albeit on channel) but in 44khz so i can take calls and listen to
hq music

Hello,
Today I paired my HTC HD2 with Jabra BT3030 bluetooth stereo headset. Everything seems to work fine except a little issue - even with minimum volume settings a sound comming out of headset is faaaaar too loud.
Maybe you know if there's any fix for that? Of course setting volume on the phone does not bring any results. At this point listening to music with BT3030 kills my ears.
Regards.
i'm also thinking about buying this headset... any1 else have this problem?

hi I have the jabra headset you have and the volume is just about perfect. maybe it could be to do with the ROM you are running and the region you got the phone from! I got my hd2 in Hong Kong and it came with 1.48 ROM preloaded. I do remember seeing a different thread with other people with the same problem as you on this forum. I also sure I sas some other threads on this board where people were looking for the registry weeks the raise the volume limit, but everything that is tried does not work. I hope you can sort your problem soon as the jabra headset is pretty good and the sound quality is very good.
I have the same equipement and I love it.
You can´t adjust the loudness via phone. You need to manage it via the bt receiver itself.

Right. There is a +/- which is for volume.
I reduce it every time because my In-Ears are very loud either.

yes same here. there is only one issue with the volume buttons on the device itself. everything else is great...
I have the same problem with my HD2 and Jabra BT3030.
Sound is too loud from earphone can't adjust in "HTC sense media player"
I tried Coreplayer and media player without this problem.
Today HTC informed me that maybe the devies are not compliant and I should take a look at www.htc.com for accessories. Amazing!!!
That's pretty sad that there is no registry tweak to fix that.
P.S.
I have 1.48 WWE

I think I know enough... HD2 can't handle bluetooth headsets like the BT3030, I will return this product, and ask my money back
Strange... hard reset + BT3030 replacement (because one button was malfunctioning) = no problem. The minimum volume is in my scale "normal volume". It's not very silent, but fine for working and tripping.
The problem is known and seems to exist only in htc music player
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=590620
I guess HTC Sense Music Player is not compatiable with some BT headset.

Using SRS WOW you can set the output gain level, so it's not too loud anymore! Till now the only solution I know...
I've different problem with BT3030
i've found that when recieve any phone call, sound too low so every time to call or recieve must press volumn up every time like Sound Volum Level can't remember by HD2, never found this problem on htc3470.
and another problem is when play music sometime it's noisy
such as while listen music and phone in after finish and back to song it'll noisy.
i've use 1.48 official rom asia

Hi!
Today i got my BT3030 and works fine with my HD2.
No problems with the volume. The mediabuttons(play, fwd, prev) are not working with CorePlayer and HTCmediaplayer, only with Windows Mediaplayer are all features of the BT3030 available.
ROM-Version: 1.43.111.2 (70315) GER (it´s T-Mobile branded)

Yes, on Stock ROMs and selected custom roms that specifies support for bluetooth headsets.
Just to report on this topic.
There isnt native support for playing music through bluetooth headset (the profile is for it is HSP - headset profile), its only ment for calls. A2DP is profile is for stereo music but its only in more expensive devices with stereo headphones. Many people addressed this issue http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=7906 and its really weird that Android doesnt support this. But not to worry there are ways of getting music on mono bluetooth headset. One way is to pair with earphone, play music and then go to dialer and call three asteriks "***" but call is ended after about 30 seconds. Second way is through third party apps. First one I tried is Super BT Mono but isnt working with pcfighters CM7, but other app that I tested on this ROM is BTmono which is working flawlessly so anyone who is having problem like this the BTmono is the answer.
