Does someone have any idea what happens
Add some more:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/BitPool - from 30 change to 48
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/MaxSupportedBitPool - from 30 change to 58
Thank you, .... sound is much better now .... just now, I am missing the naviplay where the trebles where much better than with itech R35 or S38, I have at the moment....

thanks...it's more stereo now but now i'm experiencing"hissing"sound which never
before. can i adjust it to any other value? is there any combination i should follow?
thanks..
I found that "hissing" is dependant on the headset used.
My plantronics have almost no hiss, while my cheap i-tech things have lots.
Anybody else have the option to compare different headsets?

I use Samsung H200 for Handsfree - it has a sligt his when it initially connects which disappears as soon as the call is connected.
My Plantronics 590 headset has no hiss and sound absolutely clear and crisp.
Maybe the right placeereo head set and I paired it with my 7500 as a stereo head set

And your problem is?
Oooooooops...
I didn't realize the whole message was missing,it is like when the celular line fails and you keep on talking...
Well so I have this magnificient Motorola headset S9 and I sucessfully paired it as a Hanfree and a Stereo headset
Everything is working perfect, except the fact that when I activate the voice tag (which usually with oter BT headset works perfectly) I cannot hear the beep telling me to say the voice tag and also I cant hear the confirmation (that the PDA understood what I said)
The voice tag DO work and if I am lucky it dials what I say but I can know only when someone pickup from the other side ....
when i dis-pair the stereo headset,it is working again.
I know it is not the most horrible problem reported in this forum, but if anyone can help....
How to play music via bluetooth device
I've got a set of Harman/kardon Soundstick II speakers and i wan't to play music wirelessly from my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6000 series) onto it i.e I don't wanna plug the speakers directly into the laptop.
I bought the Sony HWSBTA2W Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver and have managed to connect/link it to my laptop. The problem is however, how do you get a music program such as Windows Media Player to play music via the Sony device. I have managed to play music from my Nokia 6600 phone through the device successfully but am unable to play music from my laptop. The Sony device appears as a bluetooth headset in my list of bluetooth devices, but does not appear as a speaker on my laptop.
And oh yes, my laptop is wireless and bluetooth enabled.
Or Is there another wireless dongle or bluetooth item of some kind that i can plug my speakers into and will stream the music down from my laptop.

hello,
Is it possible to listen to mp3 through the Bluetooth headset?
Not with the current bluetooth software as it stands, however this will change (hopefully) when the new rom is released with the updated bluetooth.
I managed to get MP3s to play through my HBH65 bluetooth headset from my mate's iPaq 2210, but the quality was awful. It was the same trying audio from my PC through the headset (with my sound-enabled bluetooth dongle).
In the long term, it may be possible with the XDA2, but you won't want to do it.
if audio over bluetooth's quality is aimed at the quality of a normal phone it will always be mono and sampled at 3khz or something like that music will never be that nice at such a low rate
of cause i have come across stereo bluetooth headsets which i suppose is strange
stereo bt
There was a stereo bt at CES, only POC but showed promise. I believe they muxing and demuxing at the headset. Obviously needs special drivers, and the hardware at the earpiece is in a dongle, with two ear pieces. Maybe if Apple and Archos take it up it will become available.

I want to know too.
Thanks~~
When I did it, it was on an Ipaq 2210, not the XDA2, so I'm sure the same technique won't apply since the 2210 uses the Widcomm Bluetooth stack. I had to install a new DLL over an old one on the machine and change a load of registry settings.
I found everything I needed on Google, although I can't recall where exactly.
Do you still want to know?
Yes, I do.
I am not very familiar to use keyword searching on Google.
Instead, i just type a sentence, and normal i cant find what i want..lol
Still looking...
Searched several strings on this, but still looks like no way to play audio (other than phone) to bluetooth headset. I have an XDA II with what appears to be the latest ROM (1.66.00)
As to why, I'm not looking for music MP3, but rather I listen to lots of audiobooks from audible.com. Doesn't seem to make any sense to have to change headsets, bluetooth one for phone and wired one for all other audio!
Whoever finds the solution, please post it here!
Well, several years have passed ...
Any one have an answer for this one ? ( How to play mp3 audio located on the XDA II device thrue a bluetooth headset ... )
Well, I was unsure if I should post this under one of the old posts, but I decided to start it as a new clean post...
Many are having problem with "hissing" noise, joint-stereo and low bitrate(or bitpool). For my sake, I've tried "fit4cat - Hermes Tweaker", "Sleuth255 A2DP fix" and several other methods, but without beeing able to get the soundquality I want from my headset.
Now, this is what worked for me after tweaking around with the registry a while, and endless pairing sessions
Download a registry editor(I use PHM, http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/ <- Download the PocketPC 2002/2003 ARM/PXA)
1: Turn off bluethooth on the Trinity
2: Unpair the Trinity with the headset(Delete the headset from the list!)
3: Change the following registry settings:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2 DP\Settings
MaxSupportedBitPool=80
MinSupportedBitPool=40 (or more if you want)
(if these arn't there, add them!)
And DELETE:
UseJointStereo = 0/1 (depending on whatever you have put there before)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev]
Priority256=149
(let the rest be as it is)
4: Reboot
5: Now, DO NOT use the headset for direct pairing!(since you've already added your phone to the headset, pressing a button on it will useually pair it back with the Trinity) <- This seems to be the function that triggers the sound-problem...
Instead, set the headset in visible mode, and use the trinity to pair(search for new devices), when you find the headset and pair it, you will hear the pairing-sound from the trinity-speaker, and NOT the headset.
Now you can enjoy high quality stereo sound without any disturbance
But, the problem comes when you turn off your Trinity, or the headset. If you try to connect the headset and the phone by using the connectbutton/playbutton on the headset, it will pair, but this time you will hear the pairing sound in the headset, and then you have all your problems back... So then you have to turn of bluethooth, delete the headset from the trinity, and add it back once again by turing the headset in visible mode again.
So the solution to this, is to go to the device list on the trinity after you have lost connection with the headset(this is if you have turned of the trinity or the headset), and hold the stylus on it and choose "Use as wirelss stereo" and "use as handsfree"...
Thanks to all of you guys here who have posted solutions to the A2DP problems And if anyone have suggestions to other values that are better fit then the onces I've supplied, share them with us
And if all of this have been posted in another thread that I've missed out, the moderators are free to delete this one
Good grief, I can only imagine how many times you had to pair the headset before you noticed what was going on LOL, hope you didn't turn blue in the face
I imagine a ROM update could fix this problem.

Hehe! The thing that made me going was that I was able to get perfect sound once or twice, and since I made it work those few times I just had to find out what I actually did that made this work (And paying 175$ for the headset also keept me fueled for a while ) hehe!
I think I've used about 5-6 hours total these two days sitting pairing, adjusting settings, rebooting(ARGH!), untill I found out that the problem actually occurs when you use the headset to pair instead of the trinity
I don't understand what is it with bluetooth stereo:
quality is not good enough to listen to music 64 kbps... no bass, no medium, nothing just a hiss.
and plus you get 80% cpu (with a 400Mhz...), just to encode this crappy 64 kbps.
Yes exactly for all people having so many skipping problems check your cpu with taskmgr.
So you cannot play video with A2DP unless you have 1Ghz!!! good for battery life.
If you like music you want good earbuds. There's none with A2DP.
So what's the point again apart from having to charge one more device?

1: Well, I'm not sure on the bluetooth 2.0 specs, so If there is a spec limit on 64kbps, then this is new to me.
2: And the skippingproblem is not just connected to the CPU-usage.. But if you have some info on this issue, then please; do share it with us.
3: A2DP headset with minijack is available many places, even HTC has one. And if you take a look at DS970, you will see that it's the same as Sony MDR-series.
4: And well, the CPU usage is a issue, but that is the only part that I agree with you on..(but let us be frank, I've bought a pair of A2DP headset, so I do smell a bit "conflict of interests" here...)
And to the bottom line, I've bought the Trinity because it's one hell of a gadget, and so is bluetooth stereo So if anyone want to shoot me for that, well hell yeah, go ahead
Edit: And FYI meroupow: I do feel you are a bit rude in the way you wrote that response, or at least a bit arrogant when you post a comment like that. Trying to mock people who have bought A2DP headsets and are tweaking and fixing issues to make them work correct(this also goes for GPS on the phone, black coating comming off, improving camera quality, getting the ATI ImageOn to work correctly... etc) . And I must honestly say that yes, you do have some points there, but you should be able to present your views in a much more polite way...
Sound better but discontinuou. Impossible ear music. The sound goes on and off continuously. Why?. How can I do?
I am sorry if you felt I was being rude.
That was not my point and It was probably the wrong place to say what I said.
It is just that just like you I bought this A2DP stuff with my Wizard.
Just like you I tweaked it as much as I could and managed to get it work.
The problem is when it comes to sound quality is important and just working is not enough.
When you show your happiness because it's finally working, people think you are happy because it's good and they are buying it. And get disappointed too.
I just wanted to warn people on the fact that it's not working to watch movies because of cpu and that a 5$ earbud will have far superior sound quality.
It's just a toy and by no way a mature technology.
I've got a CB2530, hard to pair and I still don't know what do I do for the pairing to be successful, but I do manage to pair it after a few attempts, on the registry I just disable jointstereo, set the MaxSupportedBitPool to 320 and the quality is quite nice and with minimal skipping. High cpu usage of course, but if I set the MaxSupportedBitPool to 80 the quality is quite crappy and the device gets equally sluggish(gets worse when you touch on the screen, as K-Rally does even with the new ROM).
As for the pairing, I still haven't confirmed, but I think the registry setting that enables the bluesnarf option on BTCrawler has something to do with it(the bluetooth ISC mode thing), because right after setting it I managed to pair the headset right away, the thing is, I was also successful in other occasions when I hadn't set that reg. option.
Hearing the pairing sound from the trinity or headset doesn't indicate anything on my case, and I think I've already tried these reg settings you mention, but I'll try them again as soon as I get home to see if there's any difference and post the results.

Does anyone know what is changed when you DO pair with the button on the headphones? With some models, you MUST do it because, otherwise, the music will be muted after about a second (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=282008 for more info).
I've searched around in the Registry for changes, without any success. It's possible we could directly edit the headphone connection-dependent parameters set AFTER the headphone's initiating the connection to avoid sound problems. If we knew where they're stored, that is.

BTW: is it the profile and software on the phones/PDAs that arn't handling it, or is it the standard itself that sucks? (or in other words, should I keep my headset for later usage or return it to the store)
I use Plantronics 590a and the skipping problem appears very rarely, mainly when I use volume/track buttons on headset. However, yesterday I also connected the headset to a normal stereo (via the 3.5mm adapter) and noticed the same occasional skipping. So in my opinion the skipping issue problem might be from headset, not Trinity.
I also tried a Nokia stereo bluetooth headset and noticed serious skipping problems - unusable.
PS: there is indeed a skipping problem if I open/close other applications while listening to music. It looks like the processor is very busy - system very slow etc.
PPS: any suggestions for a player that has equalizer? WMP doesn't and the sound is not that great (especially when compared to my old SE P900 which had an excellent player - best I've heard so far... )

Stereo BT experience is very positive
Hi all,
As always, someone has to have a different view of the issue. I got my trinity a couple of weeks ago and went and bought a Plantronics Pulsar 280 stereo headset. Mostly because of the stereo jack. I have not updated trinity nor have I applied any fixes, just paired right out of the box, as always from trinity BT manager. It really sounds great, particularlly the base is fantastic because of the earbud design. Even you may choose the actual headset of your dreams by using the standard 2.5mm jack. I have owned a "no brand" headset (still do) but it is not BT 2.0 and I think it makes a difference. The plantronics does not skip and it sounds great. Most of my MP3 is 128k and above so no limits with that. I have not checked my registry settings as they are default rom image set. I am using ROM 1.15.412.2 and Radio 1.20.00.11 (my trinity only speaks spanish for now, hope to change that soon).
Point being that the software and quality of the headphones makes all the difference, don't be so quick to blame trinity, just a piece of my mind. Keep it up guys!!!

Can anyone recommend something that already works well with HTC Touch/Pro?
Does Motorola S9 work with WM6 BT stack for stereo?
There are no good a2dp stereo headsets because the equalizer only works with wired headsets.. Htc: please fix this.
im using the sony stereo bluetooth headset hbh-ds980. works fine.. the volume for the music and for the phone calls are the same key but the headset keeps them programmed differently. so its nice. the onyl thing i saw that sucks is that it doesn't bring a clip to attach the receiver to your clothes.. so if you doing a lot of moving then its going to fly up and what not.. so thats annoying.. i took the clip from the standard HTC headphones that came with the phone and put it on the bluetooth and just slightly attach it to my shirt.
I'm using a Motorola S9 and it works perfectly. No problems at all, all buttons do work. Sound quality is very good!
One more vote for hbh-ds980. Been using it with polaris, diamond and HD. The music quality is quite good and functionality including addressbook and last calls access works fine.
The Motorola s9 HD's are out and the seem to have improved quite a bit. I personally have the regular s9's and they work great.
oh yea.. sry forgot to add.. haha. you can go into the recent calls list and into the phone book quite easily.. and have multiple devices hooked up at one time and get calls from them all..
the only problem is that i get the phone number instead of the persons name when they are claling me.. does anyone know why? the names show up when in the phonebook and everything..
Ok so not bluetooth but i use my sennheiser PXC 450, noise reduction...cant imagine better sound on the move
Sony DR-BT21G
I found an equalizer that works. The internal one in coreplayer.. Now nokia bh-903 bluetooth headset have bass and nice sound.
Hi,
I've got a 3xx series Plantronics headset and i've got a question about using it for more than JUST calls.
Can I use it for watching movies?? at the moment, when the movie plays, it automatically goes to loudspeaker, even whilst paired.
I know of something called A2DP, but I'm not sure that my BT headset is that... Can I install something or change some setting to make the music/movie play through my present headset??
Thanks!!
A2dp is a stereo profile, should be active if you have a stereo headset and are listening to anything stereo on the phone. I've been having trouble getting A2DP to stay active on my phone as well, but I just read about a program called A2DP Toggle found Here seems to be working for me tho I'm not sure its what your looking for.
Well I don't own a stereo BT headset. Just a normal one-ear one.
I want to know if there is a way to port the movie/music sounds through it.
So I think its a bit different to your case. Anyone else?? Thanks
btw, I've used a simple bluetooth headset with my PC before and it ported all the sounds from the PC to my earpiece... so technically it should be the same case for phone? I hope there's a way...

Hi! This issue has plagued me ever since i am using windows mobile. I own a TOUCH HD (though i think this issue is also with other windows mobiles) and a A2DP Stereo bluetooth headset from Sony.
http://images.google.nl/imgres?imgu...ox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&sa=N&um=1
Now here's the problem. When I pair the phone with the Headset, it pairs the 2 services HANDSFREE & WIRELESS STEREO. Then i can listen to music via the headset.
When i turn the headset off and then back on again, it switches on the HANDSFREE ONLY !! And i have to go thru the following process to turn on the WIRELESS STEREO again:
1. on phone, click on Bluetooth Devices
2. select the headset device to view the 2 services (handsfree and wirless stereo). Both are selected. Deselect the Wireless Stereo service.
3. SAVE
4. on phone, click on Bluetooth Devices
5. select the headset device to view the 2 services (handsfree and wirless stereo). Re-select the Wireless Stereo service.
6. SAVE
Then it works again and i can listen to my music again.
Its a very annoying process and I wish someone could help me to explain if there is a faster way? Does everyone also have to go thru this process or am i doing something wrong?
Does there exist a program that can automate this process or any other solution?
looking forward to replies!

Pair your stereo headset and select the Heaset and Wireless Stereo profiles, this will work from start.
Next time you turn on your stereo headset it will only connect as standard headset (ie mono for phone calls)....
Just press the play/pause button on your headset and it will auto connect to A2DP stereo also.
Simple EH?
Tried that!
I have tried that, and do it on my laptop (another set and stereo profile only), it may be dependent on the headset you are using.
The Triangle Powers BT Stereo is mono output only, and made the audio quality poor on my HD. http://trianglepowers.com/PPC/ViewApp.aspx?ID=52
I installed teksoft A2DP Toggle 1.1 this morning http://teksoftco.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1885 and added it to the program button in TouchFlo, not the today screen. it seems to work fine if you press the button twice, better than 7 clicks. (My HD info in the signature, Telstra TouchFlo replaced by Standard HD)

If pushing the Play/Pause does not connect a previously paired BT Stereo Headset to your HD then it is not a true A2DP profile headset.
See if you can get your hands on a pair of folding Sony DR-BT22 headphones.
True A2DP with built in mike to answer incoming calls. Bass is very good and full funtion with the HD.
Highly recommended.

Hi! This issue has plagued me ever since i am using windows mobile. I own a TOUCH HD (though i think this issue is also with other windows mobiles) and a A2DP Stereo bluetooth headset from Sony.

Hmm! I pair the HD with a great bluetooth headphones from Sony I got in Tokyo recently (not the same as yours). I dont have any problem with the A2DP connection at all. I have perfect high audio definition thru to the headset.
Sorry not much help-but it may be the headset not the HD thats your problem!

You guys are correct, the smaller headsets that try to share the Play/Answer/end button are probably the issue.
I have been using A2Dp Toggle 1.1 as mentioned and link above and it works great, no loss of sound noticed.
We should start an XDA (not just HTC) WiKi to list headsets that connect or not for WM5 and WM6.
HD Compatible Headphone
I have a Sony DR-BT50 headphone that works beautifully. The sound is brilliant for Music and particuarly movies that I have transferred from DVD to the HD with MP4HT4HD!
I never thought that i would watch a movie on a screen so small but the clarity is something else and the high audio signal with the bluetooth headphones make it a pleasure! Great for long layovers at airports etc.
Any in-ear types that work?
All the sets that I have seen posted as working are the full headphone (over ear) types, and this may again be a shared button thing.
Does anyone have / know of an in-ear / earbud type that works / connects correctly
A2DP Toggle 1.1
I dowmloade that A2DP Toggle 1.1 on my phone. I use HTC TYTN1 running Windows Mobile 6 Professional and this software gives hell to say the least.
When I connect it to my headset, it works fine BUT it does not pay MP3s on my headset. It keeps on saying ERR on the icon of the head speakers (the second icon form bluetooth icon). I even asked most of the technician but no one knows anythings. If anyone knows what my probles is, please rescue me!!!
I might be doing something, please help me guys
Toggle works for me!
I had the same problem, the triangle powers prog didn't work for me. In fact the headset icon was on but no playback.
The toggle 1.1 works, none of the funcitons described on it's website are available, setup and various icons are from the home page but HTC Touch HD home page doesn't support that.
Never the less, putting Toggle in my program list and using it toggles easy between phone speaker and headset. Like someone has already said, two clicks and we're in business from starting my van to getting music from my phone on the stereo. I'm happy enough with that.
I have a Pioneer stereo with Parat built in, so I get BT audio and Hands free calls. All seems to be working perfectly now. Thanks to this thread.
