Looking for a file... oemagw.dll - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 General

It's the bluetooth audio gateway extension file used on the Prophet (and probably a few other HTC devices). AFAIK, it's what handles the bluetooth button for Voice Speed Dial.
Anyway, changing to another voice dial program has never worked properly, but people on other other forums have successfully hacked the bgextagmodule.dll to fix the problem. The Prophet uses oemagw.dll instead, so that's the file I want to try to edit.
I've had no luck trying to extract a copy of this file, so if someone could get a copy of this file, or tell be what tool to use to extract it from nk.nbf, that'd be great!

TT 5 Voice problem

I have tried pretty much everything I could find on this forum, but I can't get my TT voice (Eva) to work. Problem is that when I go to 'change voice' in the TTN menu, I only get grayed out images of voices that I cannot select.
- I executed the official installation file of 'Eva' which installed all the separate wav files in /TomTom/TomTom/ - no luck
- I copied them to a directory /Voice/ on the storage card - no luck
- I installed 'data15.chk' in every tomtom and navigator directory I could find - no luck
- I copied data15.chk to the /voice/ directory on storage card - no luck
An oh yes, I did soft reset after every step and reloaded TTN. But nothing worked. Even the Eva voice that is installed 4 times now does not show up. It's almost as it the image file is missing and TTN doesn't look any further...
Ideas, anyone? Thanks!
i have the directory VOICES in the root from the Storage-Card.
In this Directory i have 3 files:
data02.chk 807k
deuf.vif 28 bytes
deuf.wav 53k
i think your tt5 are missing the second file, but the name are different,
the extender are the same.

I had this problem
I had to extract the voice cab files from the TT 5 CD copy them on to my SD card then install them from there.
Once you TT after you can select the voice you want
I had the same problem, in the end the only way I could a working voice on there was by using the inbuilt download option in tomtom, which then allowed me to downlaod the free Jane Voice. Which it stored in \Voices\ (i.e. a voices directory directly on the system root) but when I copy voices files in there manually they dont work I wonder if perhaps they had put a fix in on 5.21 to stop people using unlicensed voices ?
If you copy the voice files (for Jane this is data05.vif & data05.chk) to
My Documents\TomTom
Next time you boot you should be able to choose Jane
Guessing will work for other voices too
Like a lot of Pocket PC Software, TomTom probably looks in several places for the voice files. My problem turned out that I was trying to use the Sarah Michelle Gellar voice from a certain infamous collection of voices, and that particular voice does not work with tomtom wherever its put!
Found the voice solution: an image file!
My problem was not that the voice files were installed in the wrong place. The problem was that every installation (and I tried a few) only installs a 'dataX.chk' and a 'dataX.vif' file. Now in TT5, you choose a voice based on an image (country flag + silhouette of a man/woman) and the respective image file was not included in the installation files. So even though the voice files were installed at the right place, I still could not select them.
What I did was go to the TomTom voices download page, copied the correct image from there, renamed it 'dataX.bmp' and put it with my voice files on the Vario. I guess any image file would do as long as it's a bitmap and has the correct file name. Works like a charm!
Hope this will help others!

I'm looking for a file for A2DP

This request is a little unusual, but I'm wondering if there are any Hermes users that can help me find a file and post it up.
If you're using Cyberon Voice Commander 1.6 and have bluetooth working with it, please look in the registry in:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTAGExtModule
I'm using a Prophet, and the file it uses is OEMAGW.dll. As far as I can tell, this file controls/launches the voice dialer software. I'm hoping the file that comes with the Hermes will make the Prophet's version of CVC 1.6 work correctly with Bluetooth.
The file should be located in the Windows folder, but it might be hidden so File Explorer might not find it.
Please help! Thanks a bunch!

How to Install .cab files with pgms

I don't mean to ask silly questions, but I can't seem to manage a simple installation. I download the "WM VI Black Cyberon Voice Dial" cab and would like to install it, but have no idea where to begin!!! Could someone please help me with some step-by-steps? I would like to try this out instead of the MS Voice Commander. I also downloaded the "WM VI Black Cyberon Voice Commander" just in case, and would love to find out what works best on my Hermes. I would appreciate any help that may come my way.
:-D
save it on your storage card and run it from the file explorer on the phone.....?
What to run . . .
Do I "execute" the _setup.xml file? Will that copy everything needed to everyplace required?
Execute the xml file? What have you done to the file already?
Copy the complete cab file (don't try and extract anything) onto your phone. Then (through file explorer) double click or run the cab. The XML file etc should all be within the cab and you should not even need to know about it. The cab should run on your phone as it is.

How to convert LNK to EXE? For key remap

I have been trying to get my HW keys remapped on the Q9 for a day now. After picking through the registry, I found a reg key that maps to the button
\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd\APP2_Path
It accepts any .exe but I need to point it to a Mortscript file and that won't work. I can't even put a shortcut LNK value in there. Soon as I pop any exe in that field it works. Anybody know how to convert a LNK into an exe to trick this thing? I even tried running Mortscript.exe with the script name as a parameter but no luck. Thanks!
Looks like what I need is a basic applauncher .exe that would read the script/exe parameter from the registry or file. I have experimented some more with this registry key and it won't take anything other then a straight exe. Even quotes around the value breaks everything so I can't pass parameters around.
Mortscript comes with a file called autorun.exe. rename this file to the name of your mortscript, so if your mortscript is named 'myscript.mscr' then rename autorun.exe to 'myscript.exe'. make sure both files are in the same folder. Now when you run 'myscript.exe' it executes 'myscript.mscr'. For more information check mortscript documentation.

i was so happy to see this fix and tried it. it appears to work about 5 times and then it stops responding. i have to reboot to get it working again. If i click on the script .mscr it works however. so something buggy in the autorun.exe. Any suggestions?
Take a look at http://www.vijay555.com
I think it's VJbrisk.exe or something like that, but I'm not sure...
There's definitely something there that can help you!
ithx i tried vbrisk but it would not install on wm6 smartphone. Any other apps that do the same?
Are your files in the same folder as 'mortscript.exe'? If not, put them there and try it. Make sure you have the lastest mortscript version.
Also, there is an old program called 'Launch Pad' by 'On Hiatus' that was developed for the HPC version of WinCE, and uses PocketC by 'Orbworks' (google both). You can use it to create .EXEs that work like .lnk files.
It works fine on my WM6 Wizard PPC, don't know if it will work on a Smartphone, but it's worth a try if the above doesn't work.
Another thing you could try is to extract the VJbrisk.exe from the cab file and manually transfer it to your device, then see if it works.
Yah they are in the same folder and named the same. I moved it al into the root. It appears to work for a couple hours, then dies and requires reboot. Otherwise it does the trick nicely. Mortscript is great!

I'm looking for a wifiinit.exe file

Hi
For whatever reason, my device doesn't have the wifiinit.exe file. I've been trying to figure out what is wrong with the wifi on the device for days now.
I've hard reset and flashed the rom a million times, but for some reason, the wifi initiation file is never present.
Could someone please download their wifiinit.exe file and upload it here?
Thanks
Which device?
My Touch Pro shows no file of that name.
thanks for the reply
Htc ppc6800 (Titan) (mogul)
Well, I'm trying to get the wifiinit.ink file to run, but I understand that it's a shortcut file.
So I need whatever exe file that is launched by the wifiinit.ink
No such file on my Polaris either. You running Windows 6 or 6.1?
my X1 also does not seem to have this file. what are you trying to do with this file anyway
if you want to simply start wifi from a shortcut simply install AKTogglewifi and put the shortcut anyware
I used to have a Wizard and still have the kitchen I used for it. In this kitchen in the \OEM\OEMAPPS folder are two files 'wifiinit.exe' and a shortcut to it 'wifiinit.lnk'. These files aren't in my Kaiser so I assume it isn't needed on all devices. I have attached it but I am not sure whether it will work for you or not?
