In Chile does not sell i9500 model, i buy it at www.mercadolibre.cl
How can i know what rom use in my phone?
THANKS!!
If you are asking about the version that is on your (new) phone. Go to settings / more / about device
You will also see your model number. Just filter your model number and you can download the appropriate official firmware.

If your S4 is factory unlocked, you can flash any Stock ROMs that are not carrier locked from sammobile.com, here's the tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477&page=4

[Q] Galaxy S5 Model SCL23 (Japan)

So, Just moved to Japan, bought myself a Galaxy S5 which was just released here 2 weeks ago. The model number is SCL23. Been looking to root it, but i don't see any threads/posts or any info at all about this model number. It is stated in other posts that the "international/asia" model is SM-G900I, but I have looked all over my phone, and the only model number found is SCL23. So, will any of the other root options work for my phone? And if not, is there anything hope for me in the future? The cell phone carrier I use is AU, and i am on firmware 4.4.2.
So is this just an attempt to trick customers? Is this model number correct? Anyone with any information at all please let me know.
If i attempt a root with the wrong model files, will it brick my phone?

I just saw your question and found this it may help you both https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UgX4Q8_VYM
I believe this version of the Galaxy S5 is a specific Japanese model with the charging dock feature, and thus development is quite scarce. Be careful modifying it as you have a higher chance of bricking.

1-você vai fazer download do apk normalmente e instalar
2-depois vai abrir e clicar em makeitra1n
3- vai aguardar até que apareça a mensagem em baixo e logo depois reinicie seu aparelho manualmente pois ele não vai fazer isso automaticamente e pronto

I was also trying to root my AU GS5 SCL23. Apparently, the AU model of GS5 is not rootable. Also the AU GS5 is most likely going to stay that way... . Just found something that might help you. Its in Japanese though.
Type "au galaxy s5 rooting" on google and click the first link on top "【root】towelrootを使った端末のroot化について…2014/9/2更新" If your in Japan the same link would show up.
dont know why they dont allow you to post urls

[Q] Certi IMEI: Fail

Certi IMEI: Fail and not "Pass"... And "Not registered on network". How to fix it? My IMEI is right.
It started with the OzcanRom 6.3, come on ...
I bought a Galaxy S4 already with the official rom Kit Kat, worked all right.
I did not do backup of IMEI and installed the OzcanRom, then the IMEI was null or generic, since I can not remember more ...
So I sent the phone for assistance with official rom Kat Kit installed, and failed to rewrite the IMEI this
rom ... I was asked to take the phone with ROM Jelly Bean (4.2.2), this worked, IMEI returned.
But I wanted a more updated Android, so I made up the IMEI, I have several here ...
And installed the official rom new Kit Kat ... The IMEI was generic ... I installed several modems and the original IMEI not
back ...
Then restored the original IMEI EFS Professional, IMEI returned, but with network problems ... Only Call
emergency was allowed. I noticed that appeared a warning of a second, a blue square, saying something about
related to "Factory Mode" ... But it was so fast that he could not take print screen ...
So I ended up going back to OzcamRom again, just to be more beautiful.
So, I found that calling * # 0011 #, IMEI appears CERT: FAIL ...
And I found a command that phone functions return the first install the DDUAMDK modem, dial * # 0011 # -> Back -> 8-
1-5-5 -> END, disco * # 0011 # -> Back -> 8-7-3- [1-2] -> END, then give it to make and receive calls, access the internet
and receive SMS, but can not send SMS.
Anyway, it's very annoying to have to get by dialing these numbers whenever I restart the phone, and is also bad no power
send SMS!
Is there any way to fix this?
Certi IMEI: Fail and not "Pass"... And "Not registered on network". How to fix it? My IMEI is right.
My best guess is that the IMEI certification is related to the region locking Samsung uses. On my S4 I used RegionLock Away to remove the region lock as well as the SIM lock. As a result my IMEI certification returns a status of N/A.
I suspect that installing the official ROM has restored your region lock, since the region locking is in a XML file within the phone. Root, install RegionLock Away and run it. That will remove the region locking and from there you can try the phone again. If that doesn't work there are several possible issues which could prevent your S4 from working properly, both software and hardware.

SGH I337M

Good morning guys, I have just bought a second-handed Samsung Galaxy S4 Today, and as I always do, I wanted to see the development for it, the problem is the model, there is almost nothing here about it (SHG I337M). I have never owned a Samsung smartphone so I ask someone here for help about it. You could tell me about KNOX, root, Custom ROMS, and stuff like that.:highfive:
Thanks for your attention, have a nice day!:good:
You can lock the phone down using KNOX. Or you can limit what apps one can access if the phone is in KNOX mode. So basically it is just some security stuff from Samsung. KNOX also has some warranty usage, but since the phone is second hand it's pointless.
So you can throw KNOX out the window.
The SGH-I337 is the AT&T version of the GT-I9505 model. So it's just a rebranded phone.
Unfortunately, AT&T like to lock the phone's bootloaders, making rooting and flashing custom recoveries a lot harder.
Not all hope is lost, though. You can still root and/or flash a custom recovery and rom, but it all depends on your firmware version.
You should definitely check your firmware version and then see if there are any ways to root it and flash a custom recovery. Then we talk custom roms.
If the phone is indeed an i337m (the att version does not have the "m" at the end), you are lucky because the bootloader is not locked and you are free to install twrp and customs ROMs based on cm, aosp, and tw.
You might want to check out the att forums for the s4 for ROMs too.

Thanks for your fast reply! As I saw down here, my phone can't be the at&t version because of the "m" and because it comes from the mexican carrier TELCEL. Respect to the firmware to be able to proceed with the root, recovery and that stuff... My S4's firmware could be here (I'm not sure about which of these data is)

The firmware doesn't matter anymore if it is an I337M.
The I337M is a Canadian model.
Now you can root your phone and install a custom recovery
Or
Install a custom recovery first and then flash a custom rom.
I suggest not trying a rom for the s4 with a exynos processor. I have read stories about owners of the Samsung s3 that hard bricked their phone by flashing a non-Qualcomm rom.

I already told you that the I337M is a rebranded I9505.
The i9505 has a Qualcomm so it should be okay.

Yes, me too. If you want root on the stock ROM you need to flash this package through Odin, if not, you will need twrp for a custom ROM. It has the Qualcomm chip so don't worry

There's a handful of Motherboards that are able to fit within a G900P but, the G900V is the only other device that's also CDMA.
I personally don't recommend using another carriers Motherboard unless you're absolutely sure that the other one has what you can use as well.
Good Luck!

Can you please tell me which model motherboards can be used instead of g900p? i mean which models will fit in g900p’s housing and lcd?
