that msg you receive means that the computer is not recognizing your mini i personally had that problem at one time but it was due to the cable but since you did say that u had dropped ur mini it might be a hardware problem
u can try one thing put ur mini into bootloader mode ( pressing the power button the camera button and the reset button all at the same time) and connect it to ur comp before u connect it it should say Serial once u connect the cable from it to the computer it should say USB if it doesnt say that then im preety sure its a hardware problem so hope u still have that thing on warranty

no problem like the real good techies say most of the time its the easiest thing but we always like to think about the harder things first

ok I just got my mda out of the new box it was working fine.
I tried to update the rom, everything went well until 88% when the pc outta nowhere shut off. I dont know why it did this , my pc never turns off.
now its stuck in the RUU red green blue screen
some one plz heeeeeeeeeeelp
sometimes you can begin the update process all over again, and the rom flash will recover and complete.
Don't fret dude, all is not lost, I take it you didn't make a backup of your device to SD? Well no worries go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=37386&highlight=awizard try to read up as much as you can there to make sure your not doing anything wrong, it's better to take an extra 15min reading then spending 1 hr worried about your machine. Question 2 I think applies to you:
"Q2 : What to do if the device hold at splash screen after upgrade?
A2:
- connect the device with usb cable
- hold the "voice dial" and shortly press the reset button by stylus
- release the reset button and wait for the USB color screen
- download and run the shipped ROM upgrade program (with .exe file extension) e.g. ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/HTC_Wizard/Roms/
- you device will be bootable again.
- then start aWizard and run through the 'e', 'u', 'w' one by one. Of coz you have to connect your phone to ActiveSync before running the 'e' option. "
I hope your able to fix your problem bro, good luck!
Jesus, your title makes me want to hit you in the nose. Learn to spell
As for the update, I've never had a problem fixing it by doing what the poster above said. Mine was totally dead at one stage.
Hey there guys, congratulations for the good work.
I bought xda neo from e bay a year ago. Things went good till one day i had to reinstall the Rom. I did it with succes then i tried to install a programm and it asked for reboot. I checked "YES" and it started shutting down. The next thing i remember is waiting for hours to start up but it never did.
It does not boot at all seems like dead.
Battery is working good 'cause i checked it to a friends mobile and I also tried to use his battery to mine but didnt work. Tried to connect it to the pc by the cables but didnt work too.
I heard that there are some pins which can be jumpered in order to connect the mobile cpu direclty with the pc...
Any ideas? I am starting to believe that it wont work again...
Thanks for your time....
keep up the good work!

hard reset
try doing a hard reset, you will lose all information if you havent backed up but atleast your pocket pc will be up and running again
I tried hard reset but it does not respond...
just to make sure before you go trying with pins or something, I take it you have tried to get it to bootloader?
(with a turned off phone, press and hold camera button then insert USB cable)

Yes, I have done that too, but still no response. I was told that the olny way to check it if it is broken is to use the test pins but i still havent found anyone who knows about them ( where they are on the mobo )...
Are you familiar with their place on the mobo???
noone????
I am willing to pay for the info ....i am desperate!!!
heeelp!!!
I m also looking for the same !!

The repairing guys told me its the problem with the POWER IC.

I also tried the batt sorting and the pins sorting tricks...

solutions yet?
hi, am sorry if this has been posted but i cant seem to find the solution of my problem.
am using cingular 8125 and upgraded it to WM6.1 and activesync 4.5.
now the problem is, i can not find a disconnect button or how do i disconnect my phone from my PC.
Sry,cudn't get what you are trying to ask ? wud you elaborate a little more.
well,if you simply want to disconnect your phone, then just 'unplug' your phone from the usb cable or if you want to delete partnership with the phone, you can do it in the 'File' option of the AS.
Cheers!
can i just unplugged it directly without disconnecting it? i mean just like the usb flash drive before you can unplugged it you have to do a safely remove hardware operation first. and also like the xda II mini there's an option or a button when you want to disconnect it or stop the sync from the pc.
i hope, i explained it correctly.

Yes there is no real danger when "hot unplugging" your phone. It's more stable than most flash drives or external HDDs. As an option, you could always shut down your computer first.
thank you very much
Sorry for the ultra bump, I didn't want to start a new thread, but this doesn't help me. Whenever I hot unplug my phone, all the USBs stop responding and I can't plug anything back in, without rebooting first. I'm using a Diamond, but this shouldn't be a problem, since it's AS that messes up.
I have Imate K-jam G4
and while i was trying to flash it with the new WM6 i make mistake by the steps so I get Error and then my phone won't work anymore no lights and no power no charge .
I try to get the phone to the flash mode by hold the camera button and press the soft rest, it didnt work and the phone still off
i try to hard reset the phone by holding the communication button and the voice command button and click the reset button while iam holding and it didnt work.
i remove the battery for a while and get it back in and even this didnt make it alive,
this phone is special for me and i wont lose it, so i hope anybody could help me and i would be completely thank full for every advice
Its a G4,did you get it HardSPL or you were upgrading through SoftSPL,which rom were you trying to flash ?
Sounds all to familiar! Time for a new motherboard probably.
trying to be more optimistic than rmcknight....before searching for a new motherboard check your battery if it's completly dried out....try to charge it thrrough another phone if that doesn't work either check the "Dead wizard? NEVER! Let's revive!" thread here in the forum if you are a skilled technician...if not...it's time to search for a new motherboard....
Hello All,
I recently had an accident with my phone and the screen broke into a 1000 pieces but is still together in the mobile.
I am trying to recover the pictures in the internal memory of the S4, and then the insurance will give me an exchange phone.
The problem I am currently having is one that I havnt been able to find on any post on any website, The screen is broke so the touch screen doesnt work, the start button seems to not be working or does work but nothing is shown on the screen or on the LCD light to indicate its on. I am trying to plug the phone into KIES 3, But the phone is not found/recognised so dosnt appear on the screen, I try to press the start button but nothing happens to make it recognise the phone. So seems Kies is a dead end here as it dosnt pick it up, and I also know that USB debugging is not enabled, as I found out by trying to use DR FONE FOR ANDROID, I manage to get to the 2nd option screen but says the USB debugging has to be enabled to work, but without being able to see the screen I cannot enable it. Is there any programme to view the phones screen on the laptop/computer and be able to access the system and enable the USB dbug?
I am currently downloading the ANDROID SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT as I read in some post, but will this resolve my problem or am I gonna hit a dead end???
I am hoping that the ROM/software of the computer hasnt broken or got corrupted as then the phone would be dead.....
Can someone please help me asap, as meanwhile I am without any phone till I am able to repair this one....
May I add that the PC dosnt recognsise it either, no new item appears in MY PC....
Mobile version is: GT-I9505 with the carrier being Orange Spain
