I am missing A2DP Support on my MDA Pro. It looks like this is a Microsoft issue. They still living behind the moon.
I think MS will bring an Update for this Issue. But does anyone know, how the progres is and how this Update will be delivered? Can we just download it from MS or do we have to wait for an updated ROM from out Network-Cariers?
I like to by a BT Stereo Headset :`)
On BlueAngel I get A2DP work with a BT Update
No idears?
for me the ideal will be to use the Nokia HS-12W con Universal. and i'm hoping that will be solved soon (HS-12W is not released either)
Wizard is suppose to have bluetooth v2 which should include the a2dp
ms dident invent bluetooth and they have never been big on taking the tech of others to the max
other pda's which have stereo sound over bluetooth dont use ms's bluetooth stack to get it
Ok, then we have to try getting a widcomm stack on the universal?
well recall somebody talking about getting the newly release vidcomm stack for 2005 on their himalaya with 2005 but it dident work
not sure if it's more likely to work on a universal which have the final 2005 and not a beta like himalaya
pretty sure it was in the 2005 forum i saw it

Strange I thought the MDA has the same BT stack from Broadcom as my XDAIIi, I did run the update described in the link above and got the A2DP - The only difference after the install is the extra profile for High Quality Audio on my XDAIIi.
My BT stack version is and still is 1.0.0 Build 3900 from Broadcom.
I did immediate soft reset after the install and then checked the profiles...
I hope you find solution soon! Check out the other BT software updates on the ftp site...
Good Luck!
Bluetooth stereo is not worth the fuss.
You cant beat a wired headpone.

Looks link a great headset, and a great add on to the JJ if it worked.
Hope you get it working, have you tried putting the Nokia in discovery mode and then trying to initially pair it from the JJ? Does it give an error?

As a matter of interest does it work with other phones (just in case your unit is faulty)
I think it should work
here is the FAQ :
2. What profiles does the Nokia Wireless Image Headset HS-13W support?
The Nokia Wireless Image Headset supports Bluetooth 1.1 specification and GAP, OPP, SPP, HFP and FTP profiles.
3. Does the Nokia Wireless Headset HS-13W work with other manufacturers' phones?
The Nokia Wireless Headset HS-13W supports the Bluetooth 1.1 specification and the headset 1.0 (HFP) profile. Check your phone's compatibility with these specifications and profiles with your phone manufacturer.
try after resetting the device

try to find someone with XDA2 or Magician and test your headset with their phones.
Optionally, you can visit some shop and test it there.

BLUE TOOTH EAR BUD FOR UNIVERSAL AND LAPTOP FOR SKYPE
Sorry I don't have answers, only questions. I use Skype a lot on my laptops. I want to buy a Universal and a Blue Tooth ear bud that will allow me to use Skype through both my laptop blue tooth and also through the Univeral??? Surely there is one available. I tried the Motorola 8??? newest model and I could not make it work. Calling Motorola they said there newest bud would not support SKYPE!!!!!
Seems to me I am "missing" something here???
What earbud would do this plus solve the problem with the Universal where you can't see who is calling unless it is open??
Thanks in advance

HS13W Connection
Hi Guys,
HS13W can only be connected to HandsFree profile able device, not HeadSet able ones (as most of PDA are).
So you can try install the widcomm stack, but verify it supports HFP before.
Moreover, I think it will replace the windows stack and you will not be able to switch again.

In fact, I have an iPaq and found the widcomm stack as a software to use their BlueTooth stereo headphone.
I don't know if you can use it or not, but here is the link:

If you can not use it, maybe you can ask your device customer support for help.

We just want to see what does this patch do. May be it is a cleaner solution than the one described in the thread you refer to (it is not without problems). I myself didn't make up my mind on whether to use bt stereo headset, and won't buy one until I will see that there is a native and headache free soluion.

Your ears are playing tricks on you...
The files and registry settings in this CAB are the EXACT SAME as the ones in the original Tornado patch. I repeat: they are the exact same. There can't be any difference in sound quality.
But thanks for trying

Hi,
I tryed few bluetooth connections with my TyTN. I was using BT 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0. All of them gave me up to 22 Kbps when transfer files from my computer to device.
Few days ago a friend came with his Nokia E62 and I sent to it few files using my iMac Intel with bluetooth 2.0. I was amazed that this phone get the files at 95 Kbps
I don´t understand why my TyTN have a transfer rate of only 22 Kbps and others 2.0 devices can do the same at about 90 Kbps?
I think that it is related to Bluetooth stack limitation, may be it can be fixed. And I guess that if we can get faster transfer rates, any related A2DP problem could be fixed too.
Regards,
Taguapire.

Serial speed and A2DP quality has nothing to do with each other. it's because of the bad SBC algorithm used in the MS BT A2DP algorithm that it has so bad sound quality.
You may want to use the Widcomm BT stack - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285419
HTC
Hi,
I asked about it to HTC support and I get this answer:
Hello,
The technology to use fast transfer is EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), this technology is not is the HTC device at present.
It is Hardware, so it is not possible to patch it , and won't be part of a Rom update.
Thank you for your enquiry, Should you have any other problem, please do not hesitate to call us. Your Local number can be found at http://www.europe.htc.com/support/cs_by_phone.html

Widcomm is flawless. EDR, in my very humble opinion, has nothing to do with this question so the HTC people don't really know what they speak about - the A2DP in the MS BT stack generally sucks on ALL Pocket PC's. (I may be wrong though.)

Sorry if you miss understood my afirmation. I asked to HTC about the data rate, not A2DP problem. I just posted their answer for the knowledge implied in how HTC do not support EDR in TyTN hardware.

Hello,
I would love to replace the MS BT Stack by the Widcomm BT Stack.
I've been searching and reading the internet on this topic, but it seems that I can't seem to find any kind of guide that definitely works...
Anyone on xda-developers who has replaced the WM5 MS BT Stack by the Widcomm one on a HTC Prophet? If so, please provide us some info abou where to get the Widcomm software and how to install it.
Many thanks in advance!

If i may ask, what is the benefit of changing the BT stack? what does the widcomm one adds?
I red some time ago that the MS Stack has only 2 profiles and the Widcomm Stack has about 14 profiles for use!
And you can setup the Widcomm more easier than the MS Stack and it has more functions!
But you need about 8 MB free storage on your device and it can't be installed on a Storage Card if you want that the BT Stack is working correctly!
